The place was very spacious, and had a great variety of booths and 4 by 4's...but also this huge, circular bar area. For some reason, I expected a bright ambiance...but it was quite dark. I've had a few occasions where my meal didn't come out exactly as ordered, but the staff always corrected it quickly and without hesitation. Because of that, those experiences never outweighed the overall quality of the restaurant. One of my favorite menu items is the Ditka Burger. I always add a runny egg on top (it doesn't come with one, but it absolutely should!) and swap the regular fries for the bistro fries with garlic aioli. When I'm looking for something lighter, I order the Cobb salad topped with rare filet and substitute the vinaigrette for blue cheese dressing. The salad is loaded with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, and some of the best deviled eggs I've had at a restaurant. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is also fantastic--really flavorful, well seasoned, and something we order often. The patio is dog-friendly, which is a huge plus. They have plenty of umbrellas and fans during Charlotte's hot summers, along with outdoor heaters when temperatures drop. After more than a year of dining here regularly, many of the staff recognize us when we come in, which gives the restaurant a true neighborhood feel. Peter was our server and he was top notch-great recommendations and made sure to check on us throughout. I had the Strawberry Sangria, and my friend had the lavender lemonade mocktail-10/10 We tried the burrata on Peter's recommendation and not only was it delicious but it was the perfect size to share and not get too full. Stopped by on my friday off for happy hour with my wife after we had a Pedi date. Happy hour was from 3-6pm and the menu options looked intriguing! I usually don't like sweet drinks but they mentioned that their syrups are made in-house and so I figured I'd give it a shot. The fizzy water is a great add to cut down on the sweetness. The spicy tuna wontons are a must! They were really good, so much that my friend who doesn't really like spicy ate more than me and I love spicy foods! The buttermilk fried chicken sliders are also a must! You get 2 which is all you need if you're getting more food. She ordered the deviled eggs which looked interesting, it's whipped and served on avocado slices, she said it was a miss for her. All of these can be found on the happy hour menu. For main meal I ordered the lobster & shrimp roll and side caesar salad. The roll is served cold and is ideal for a warm day sitting out on the patio. I've had better but it wasn't bad. The salad I could have done without. The dressing wasn't giving that caesar taste we love it for. Parking is validated for 3 hours in the connecting parking garage. I'll be back for sure.
