While they had so many beautiful options, I'm glad I chose the yellow roses; they are my sister's favorite. The other flowers in the arrangement complemented the roses perfects. My boyfriend ordered a bouquet for my birthday through an international flower delivery service, and this florist was responsible for preparing and delivering the order locally. The bouquet I received was significantly different from what was originally ordered. Most importantly, the original bouquet did NOT contain lilies, but this florist decided to add lilies on their own. This was not a harmless substitution. Both I and my cats are allergic to lilies, and lilies are also extremely toxic to cats. The bouquet was specifically chosen without them, so receiving flowers that were never supposed to be there created a completely unnecessary and potentially dangerous situation in my home. On top of that, an additional gift that was part of the order and had already been paid for was never delivered at all. I tried contacting the florist the very same day the bouquet was delivered. I called during business hours, but nobody answered, and nobody ever called me back. Since this was my birthday, I did not want to spend the entire evening chasing a florist over mistakes I did not make. My boyfriend then spent days contacting the international service through which he placed the order. We were repeatedly told that the missing part of the order would be delivered later, but it never was. I also contacted this florist directly by email, clearly explained the situation, and asked them to help resolve the issue, contact the service they were working with, or provide some kind of solution. They completely ignored my emails. I even personally drove to the address listed for this business during their posted business hours because I was trying to finally speak to someone and resolve the situation. Nobody was there. So, to summarize: they changed the bouquet and added flowers that were never part of the original order and posed an allergy and serious safety concern in my home; they failed to deliver a paid part of the order; they did not answer my call or call me back; they ignored my emails; and when I physically went to their listed address during business hours, nobody was there. Mistakes and substitutions can happen. What is unacceptable is making a potentially dangerous substitution and then making absolutely no effort to communicate with the customer or fix the situation afterward. I tried contacting this business by phone, email, and even in person, and received no response whatsoever. This was supposed to be a special birthday delivery. Instead, it turned into days of trying to get someone to take responsibility for an incomplete and incorrectly fulfilled order. One star is generous. After placing my order online I called and spoke to make sure the order came through, and to verify that it would be artistic and special - I also specifically asked for no carnations. It's the end of June and there should be an abundance of flowers to choose from. The photo I was texted prior to delivery showed a very ordinary looking bouquet made of carnations and white daisies. Nothing special, nothing "artistic". For almost a hundred dollars, this was unacceptable. I immediately called and voiced my concerns. After quite some time on the phone with an associate, I was assured the bouquet would be remade by a different florist, there would be no carnations, and it would be artistically made. This all took place around 8:00am. Several hours later, at around 1:00pm I was texted a photo of a bouquet with one peony, two droopy roses with brown-edged petals, and a tropical flower. Since it was late in the day and they said the order wouldn't be delivered until sometime between 4p-8p, I didn't have much choice but to approve it as I wanted it to arrive on my friend's birthday. I was hoping it might look better in person... that maybe there were more flowers on the other side that I couldn't see in the photo. It did not look better in person. It looked worse. It was so small, even smaller than the photo depicted. It contained literally only FOUR FLOWERS in the entire "bouquet" - 2 old roses that looked like they'd been sitting around for a week already, 1 peony, 1 tropical flower. $75 for 4 flowers. I will never order anything from this florist again. Their website is misleading, and the bouquets look nothing like the photos. I could have gone to Trader Joe's and spent $75-$95 on flowers and created a huge beautiful bouquet. This was utterly ridiculous.
