Typically I will use the national service to order flowers as I send them to a few different cities around the USA. I decided to stay local and help a local business with my purchase for Valentine's Day, looks like I will be going back to national floral service. I ordered flowers a week before Valentine's Day from Benton's floral a nice roses arraignment. We love about 2 miles the shop on Valentine's Day I am watching my ring cameras expecting a floral delivery nothing by 4 pm? So I call the shop and and a lady tells me " you didn't ask us to deliver early" I am floored I ask her what the plan or schedule to deliver is she say we have over 100 deliveries to make today and I cannot give you a time. About 5 minutes later I receive a call from I'm assuming a manager, she stated their policy is to start delivering the flowers to the furthest spots 1st. I responded with " I guess I will order from a shop further from my house next time"! Within a half hour the flowers were delivered but the quality and look of a $150 arraignment was very poor. I will be going back to my national service and making sure Benton's is not the service they use to expedite the order. read more

Yesterday my sister was having a really bad day so I stopped by Benton's to get her flowers. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and said it would take about 10 minutes to make a bouquet. The florist asked what I wanted and I really had no idea - bad day flowers for my sister. She made the prettiest bouquet that somehow captured my sisters personality. I ordered $113.00 of flowers for my wife on Valentine's day. I received a call after I placed the order asking if substitutions were ok. I responded to this yes that is completely fine I just want to surprise my wife today. I received no call no email or any communication saying they could not deliver the flowers. I got home early from work to see my wife as she came home with her flowers. She walks in with nothing! I asked if she received anything today.... no other people did but I did not. I was upset I let her know my attempt and showed her the confrontation email. She called her work to see if maybe they were given to the wrong person. They told her no. I called the customer service number strait to voicemail oh they are closed.... I sent an email no response not even the next day. My wife calls them the day after valentine's and they say we can send you them today at your work. Well this is Saturday my wife said I am not at work. We can send them to your home they said. My wife and I had left to go out and spend time in Seattle. My wife asks if she could get a refund since the entire surprise has been ruined. It is not valentine's day anymore, as my wife cries. We will have our manager call you Monday is the response she received. This was a horrible experience I would never trust this shop with any sort of gift. This company closes at 5:00 pm PST and will not allow my wife to get the refund and I am off work at 5:00 pm. They really make it hard to even correct their own mistake. read more

Overall excellent experience, will absolutely order flowers from them again. I live on the East Coast and needed to order flowers for my mother for Mother's Day, so I did my research online and found Benton's. I'm a florist, so honestly I'm no easily pleased w/other floral shops work, so I opted to order an orchid plant because I could better control what was sent. They called me right away to let me know they didn't have the orchids to fill the order, but hand plenty of flowers to fill my order if I wish with an arrangement. So I went ahead and took a chance ordering a designers choice arrangement, what they sent was amazing (again - I note that I'm not easily impressed - but this was impressive) The bouquet was HUGE with amazing colors and several high end blooms throughout and most importantly, my mom loved it and said over and over how beautiful it was sending me several pics from all angles - it was beautiful. Not only was I happy w/their substitution, but also their communication. Initially when they called me they got my voicemail, when I called back, though the woman that answered was not the one that left me the msg, she knew exactly what my call was regarding and was quickly able to help me. In addition to appearing to be floral shop w/outstanding customer service skills, they follow up very well w/their online customers b/c I received a confirmation email when the arrangement was delivered (never had that before - so kudos to them!). My husband placed an order with them on Feb 11th to be delivered to me at work as a surprise on Valentine's Day. When I left work at 4:30pm on V-Day, I called him and he asked if anything special was delivered to me, which I told him 'no'. He called the florist and spoke to a very short tempered Denise. She could only confirm the order was on the truck and it was his fault for not putting special instructions that our shop closed at 4:30, refusing to help him. Keep in mind they are ONLY .2 miles down the street from my work and close 30mins after we close. He didn't feel the need to put those "special instructions". I then called the florist and had the pleasure of speaking to the very impolite Denise. She had me on hold most of the time, but the 12 minute conversation consisted of her telling me the flowers were on the truck, there's no ETA, and that's that. I stayed patient and asked if she could deliver the following day to my house. She placed me on hold to call the driver, then eventually came back with a more polite attitude (as if she realized they made a mistake and were in the wrong) and said they would not be able to make the delivery that day anyways (no reasoning), but she would make sure they got delivered to my house first thing the next morning. She took down my home address and apologized, thanking me for my patience. I stayed home the following morning waiting on a delivery that NEVER CAME. I called around 2pm and spoke to a very nice woman who put me on hold to go talk to their driver. She said my order was ON HOLD but because I called to confirm, she asked the driver to put my flowers on the truck and deliver. I told her about my nightmare call the evening before (she immediately guessed I had spoken to Denise) and expressed I don't understand how this is appropriate customer service. She didn't seem to care that this was an issue or offer anything to ease the trouble. Needless to say, we will never use this company again!!!!! As someone who has worked with the general public for years, please just tell the truth to your customers!!! read more

The Ladies really went out of their way to help me with a last-minute order that also required being delivered as I live a few hours away. Placing the order was very emotional for me; I was sending flowers to the Wife of our best friend who sadly never got to see his 40th birthday. After ordering online the flowers were delivered to my wife. When she sent me a photo of them I noticed there were only the standard bouquet amount of flowers...not the upgraded quantity I had ordered. I quickly called and told them of the error and upon checking, it was confirmed that there had been an error. The person I spoke to quickly apologized and offered a couple options. They promptly sent their driver back to my wife's work place, took the arrangement back to the floral shop. They quickly re-arranged and added the quantity of additional flowers that had been ordered originally and delivered the bouquet again! Ordered a corsage for homecoming that was only half the size of the design discussed when picked it up (2" x 3" barely enough to cover a wrist). While the designer on hand said no problem and added additional flowers to increase the size, the manager chastised me for not being specific in my requirements, even though we had left a printout of three pictures including a wrist shot, which had been reviewed by their designer and agreed upon beforehand. If there was a problem with the floral choice (orchids) they should have let us know before that day. The improved version was okay, but not what we had expected. I have used Benton several times in the past and had great results, and planned on using them for an event this Spring requiring a lot of floral. After this experience, I think it's time to look elsewhere. read more

I went into Benton's Twin Cedars Florist on Thursday afternoon (4PM) to purchase a plant/flower basket for the next day. I didn't see exactly what I wanted but spoke to the florist who was so kind, and she offered to put together a basket for me before she left that evening, for pick up at 9:30 the next morning. When I arrived Friday morning to pick up the basket, I couldn't have been happier! The basket was absolutely breath taking! This is the first time I have used this florist, and I will be a customer from now on. read more

Extremely dissapointed when Valentine's Day rolled around. I've had these people do my wedding before and they do stunning work. I purchased Teleflora's XOXO bouquet through them for Valentine's Day (the one in Teleflora's commericals) and when I got there I got NOTHING and I mean NOTHING like the picture. I got all greenery and basically hardly any flowers which is the complete opposite from what it's suppose to look like btw. The four red roses were all on one side of the bouquet. The pink flowers were grouped all in the center of the bouquet. And the white lilies were closed. There are ferns galore spread throughout the bouquet and a bunch of huge green leaves. This thing looks the farthest from the picture it's not even funny. It honestly looks like someone scooped up some discarded flowers and plants on the side of the road and threw them in a red vase with a xoxo braclet on it. The sad part is I paid $68 for this thing. This purchase was for my mom who has been a dedicaded customer there for over 10+ years. She pays BIG money several times a year for arraingements from these guys. I'm seriously embarrased to tell her I got these flowers from them. Not only was it not at all like the picture, it was just thrown in a vase....it wasn't even put together nicely based upon my description above. I wish I was making this stuff up but sadly I am not. Next time I'm just sticking to buying her flowers from a grocery store like I've done every year. At least the price is worth what I'm paying! read more

Horrible service I called monthly up to my wedding date and then when we got there they said that have no recollection of it. Then proceeded to show me flowers that were ugly and wilted. And then followed that with a bouquet of these ugly ass daisies would be 45 for about 10 small flowers. Plus additions charge for ribbon and stuff which is not what they said over the phone. They also wanted to charge me 26.99 or something for. Corsage of one flower.,. Are you kidding me?!?!?!,!. Horrible service, ugly flowers, rude talking to customers. These people can take their flowers and shove them where the sun doesn't shine. If anyone is looking for flowers ease look elsewhere. read more

Newly moved to this area of Puyallup and only like going to florist shops for flowers. So I stopped by this cute little florist shop off of east main and it was PERFECT! The quality of what is delivered is great. However I have an issue with the hidden charges. I live in CA and my mother lives in WA. I like to order arrangements for her locally. I have ordered several arrangements for her online at Bentons website. Each time I would get a call and an email from them afterwards saying that they had to charge me an additional five or six dollars and that I needed to get back to them within 24 hours or they were going to cancel the order. This last time they charged me an additional $20. I was traveling at the time and so I didn't have time to make other arrangements as I needed to have something to my mom on that day. I feel that if the price is on the website and that's what you purchase all the fees should be listed. having to call them authorize my credit card again over the phone for these additional charges every time I order is unprofessional. I have found another great local florist and this is not an issue. Fingers crossed. read more
