The only weekend that worked to host a bridal shower for my now sister-in-law was my birthday weekend. My family had just returned from Europe, I was catching up on work, enjoying my special day, and realized I didn't like my plan for flowers. In the Spring, I received the most magnificent bouquet of hyacinths from Floral Art. When I decided to connect with a florist, it immediately came to mind as particularly unique. I reached out to the email address listed on the website about creating arrangements for the event. In the email, I attached images of the bridal shower invitation, the room at Mastro's Ocean Club, and images of the unique flowers I spotted on the Floral Art website. I'm inclined to letting creative experts to do their thing and not limit their vision with my creative input. I crossed my fingers and hoped that someone at Floral Art would take what I shared and run with it. Limit the questions and requests for guidance. In fact, I'm pretty sure I did not leave this to Hope but actually wrote that's my preference in the email. Jennifer answered the next morning, confirmed that we were on the same page, and took care of the rest so that I could enjoy my birthday rather than worry about last minute shower details. The arrangements were spectacular. My only regret is in not knowing that Mastro's would relocate Floral arrangements to a side table to make room for appetizers! I've been to three flower arranging classes, and each one was amazing! Jennifer and her team always set up beautiful themes and choose such gorgeous flowers, and the class itself is very easy to follow even for a total novice like myself. While the classes themselves are not cheap, there are many other repeat students in class, and that speaks volumes. You leave with a beautiful arrangement made by you (even though no one will believe you!), the confidence to do it again on your own, and even decorating tips that are easy to do in your own home. I've come with both family and friends, and it's a really fun activity to do together. Another perk: the price includes a happy hour (wine and cheese) in their beautiful space! My husband and I have always ordered special flowers for certain occasions from this place. The arrangements are always stunning. I've honestly never seen more beautiful flowers. Last night a friend of mine called me because the flowers she had ordered from another place for her father's funeral were delivered wilted and ugly. She was devastated. I emailed Jennifer, and even though it was after hours, she emailed me back and helped me place an order for me to pick up and take to the funeral for my friend. I cannot express in words how much I appreciated her going out of her way like that. Yesterday I received the most gorgeous flowers from Floral Art for Valentine's Day. Floral Art always does a fantastic job, but this arrangement was especially wonderful. It is an unusual design, the flowers are fresh and they put a smile on my face! What more can I say?!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Jennifer has always been very professional, friendly and listens to her clients. if ever there is a problem, they correct their work immediately. But that is rare. After nearly a year of a "non life" because of Covid, it is thrilling to receive a floral arrangement that is so beautiful. Great flower shop in the back. The girls were friendly and asked to help me as soon as I walked into the store. The front part of the store has loads of unique Moroccan style glass and other chochkas that held my interest. I liked the vibe in the store. Very helpful, but not on top of me. It is a small store, but there are plenty of little interesting glass things to look at. I didn't end up buying any of the Moroccan glass stuff, but it was the most beautiful stuff of that kind I have seen. I've never seen those things anywhere else, and I'm sure I'm going back to buy some next time I'm in Venice. read more

they forgot to have my bouquet ready on my wedding day. enough said right? so when my friend stopped by to pick it up, they made a bouquet on the spot with the wrong colors and flowers. i didn't end up using it. when i called about getting a refund, since they still charged me for it, the owner was apologetic. but i would never use them again. read more

I had used them since they opened so had been a loyal customer. My fiancée went in to discuss them doing her wedding bouquet and other flowers for the wedding. The person there acted like she couldn't care less and wasn't very helpful. So my fiancée left. I called and talked to the manager and explained my unhappiness and was assured the owner would call me. That never happened. It just seems they have become fairly snobbish, along with being ridiculously expensive. Too many other good florists around to put up with that kind of customer service. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTING. i tried to buy 2 vases and the lady working there raised the price by 75% and removed the original price tags. the price was on 2 of the same item so it obviously was not a mistake. i tried to explain to her that she should honor the price marked, as any good business person would and she said NO. I took the Succulents Landscaping class last night, and loved it! Jen was a great teacher, and took time to answer all our questions in addition to going around to help us all. I feel empowered to put together some succulent arrangements of my own now! The classes aren't cheap which would be my only (minor) complaint, but for the beautiful arrangement I got to take home- including a beautiful cement vase, it was well worth the money! Terrible customer service by phone. Took weeks to return my call. After placing an order it took over a week to refund after they cancelled it. I tried to resolve a shipping issue and they already had their minds made up before I finished my concern. They made ridiculous suggestions like getting something delivered elsewhere to avoid the additional $18. Elsewhere where I asked? They ask the most condescending questions wasting my time. My husband purchased arrangements for me for over a year, each month. Sometimes twice a month. When we recently got divorced I promised my kids I would still get the arrangements from this place. I went to the WASHINGTON location where parking was a chore, and decided shipping is better. You would think they would be more inclined to be helpful when planning to spend between $250-$400 a month on Flowers's. I told them I could show proof we used to buy many arrangements per month for our home and for my husbands company. Corey who called said because I'm north of the 101 I'm being charged an additional $18. I explained Literally across the street I'm in the lessor shipping zone. And even 20 miles more north it's cheaper than what they are trying to charge. She said she's from LA and her messenger charges a certain fee and I should respect that. I should respect that? Then she said I should send my own messenger. I started to feel ridiculous to force these people to take my money for flowers I could get elsewhere. The girl i spoke to on Hayden was nice. Everyone else acts like they own the place and are short and rude. I left a message for the owner. I believe her name starts with a J. She never called. I'm exhausted caring about this. Currently looking into a company who cares about my purchases. I don't know why I tried to make this work. read more

Don't do business here if you're looking for a really good florist. I ordered a traditional, large, bright arrangement for my wifes birthday. I ordered on the phone and you figure I could get what I asked for for the $150 I spent. When I picked it up it was a small compressed ball of flowers, looked like they packed it like a snowball. I complained about how small it was and not what I ordered I was told "that is our aesthetic". I said I ordered a big and traditional arrangement. I was told that what I got was about as big and traditional as "their aesthetic would go". Hey! How about MY aesthetic, I'm the customer. When I originally saw the name of the business, I made sure to make my desires known and I was assured I would get what I wanted. I didn't want a piece of art, I wanted what I asked for, not run through someone elses "aesthetic, artsy" filter. A number of people have seen it and 100% said it looked awful, all bunched tight together. SO, if you're looking for a really good, traditional florist, keep looking, this isn't it!!! read more
