I was very specific about my floral vision and discussed in detail with Alona several times on what I wanted. Specifically for reception, the most important floral element for me was the sweetheart table. We discussed repurposing the ceremony florals to create a full, circular arch behind the sweetheart table with additional florals around the base of the table. She had assured me we would have enough florals from the ceremony to repurpose to not only the sweetheart table, but also the welcome table/bar/cake table as well. I even bought more florals for the ceremony arch to achieve this sweetheart table vision. However, this is not what we received. On the day of the wedding, Alona's team told us the start of our reception needed to be delayed by approximately 30 minutes because they were still working on the reception florals. We waited to seat our guests because we wanted to give them the time they needed to finish. Despite the delay, the sweetheart table installation was still extremely sparse and looked unfinished. The arch behind us was mostly bare and there were only two floral arrangements on the ground. I have attached the inspiration pic we discussed and the final result. I was mortified when I saw it - it looked so bare and incomplete. Additionally, this delay threw off the rest of our reception timeline. Dinner had to be shortened so we ended up having to skip "table touching", which was something we had really been looking forward to. I was very sad and disappointed when I walked into the reception because the sweetheart table was one of the elements we had discussed in detail as I cared a lot about it. The ceremony arch had a significant amount of florals, so I am still confused about what happened during the repurposing process. I am confused where the ceremony arch flowers went, since they don't appear to have been used to create the sweetheart table installation nor were there any flowers at the bar, cake table, or welcome table. I reached out to Alona after the wedding to understand what happened. It has now been almost three weeks without a response. I would have appreciated the courtesy of at least an explanation. Paying 5 figures for florals to have the sweetheart table look like this is incredibly disappointing. When I look back at my reception photos, I get upset with how bad and bare it looked. Don't even get me started on the ceiling florals that started to fall during the reception. I highly do not recommend Chic Flowers.

Unfortunately, her communication from the start was spotty at best and required excessive prompting on my end. She repeatedly promised quotes and proposals by specific dates and failed to follow through. While I understand that wedding season is busy, this does not excuse consistently poor communication and lack of follow-through when working with clients who are planning such important events. To illustrate, here's a brief timeline: 5/28: Alona emails me in response to an inquiry submitted to her website, asking when I'll be available for a phone consultation. I reply same-day with my availability. 6/8: No response; I follow up. 6/9: She offers a phone consultation for 6/10. 6/10: Phone consultation; she promises a proposal by the next day. 6/12: No proposal; I follow up. She promises to send by 6/13. 6/16: Still nothing; I follow up again. 6/17: Finally receive a proposal. 6/19 - 6/22: Back-and-forth revisions; budget and design issues arise. 6/24: I follow up via phone and text after no response. Still no reply as of 7/2. In the end, I chose to move forward with another florist whose communication, professionalism, and enthusiasm gave me far more peace of mind. I firmly do not recommend working with Alona if you value reliability and clear communication during your wedding planning process.

My wedding theme was very romantic & whimsical with colors of dusty blue, white, and blush. I knew from the beginning I wanted a floral arch, rose petals down the aisle, and full centerpieces. Bethany made it all happen within our budget and everything turned out gorgeous! I also want to mention that I planned my wedding originally for May 9, 2020, but with COVID-19, I ended up having to postpone two months prior. Bethany was very understanding as everyone was having to postpone at that time and she immediately rescheduled my date for September 2020. It was a nightmare to have to postpone my special day, and I felt even worse for wedding vendors and florists. It was rough on everyone, but Bethany stayed strong during this whole thing as we knew we would all be back. However, we ended up having to postpone the September date as well to May 16, 2021. As hard and as difficult as this was, it was worth the wait. Not only did I get to know Bethany on a personal level during this time, but the masterpieces she created for our special day were heavenly. We cried when we finally got to see each other in person and she seemed just as happy as we were that our special day was finally here. During the entire process, she was professional, helpful, friendly, and in constant communication. She is quick to reply to an email, text, or even some of my late-night IG messages inquiring about different candles and pedestals. She provided the florals (circular arch, petals, centerpieces, florals for champagne cart, sweetheart table, photobooth, boutonnieres, bouquets, corsages), but also the taper and pillar candles, candle holders, and more. I was worried about the lack of peonies that I wanted due to a shortage at the time, but I completely trusted Bethany and her work and she did not disappoint. What she created was beyond my expectations. I wish I could keep them forever! I couldn't find someone to preserve my bouquet at the time, but I am hoping to recreate it for our anniversary and get it preserved then I would definitely hire Bethany for any and all special events!
