But we wanted to support our local community in Riverside, and The Natural of Things was a local favorite, owned by a mother and daughter. I reached out to the flower shop and spoke with Mandy. After sending her our inspiration wedding flower arrangement photos she was on it with the photos. My wedding was on December 20, 2025, which is winter, so I asked Mandy about spring flowers for my bouquets. I wanted peonies, roses, protea, ranunculus, hanging amaranthus, astilbe, hypericum, snapdragons, antique carnations, variegated ti leaf, nagi leaf, and camellia leaf. All the bouquets would be tied with a magenta silk ribbon, and I would have handles for the maid of honor and bridesmaids. For the groom, best man, groomsmen, and ushers, I wanted like lapel boutonnieres made with coordinating florals and botanicals, tied with a magenta silk ribbon handle. I asked Mandy for a lot, and she assured me she'd do her best to create the flowers for me. Throughout the process, Mandy kept us in the loop with clear communication. As the wedding date approached, she emailed us the proposal for our review. It was an impressive proposal, detailing the expected average weather temperature: 68 degrees (high) and 46 degrees (low) in December, along with the floral lists. It was so detailed and organized, it was amazing! On our wedding day, we arranged for the flowers to be delivered to our home. We met with Mandy and Dawn who were absolutely wonderful! They took the time to show us how to pin the lapel boutonnieres on our jackets. Plus, they were so careful to keep all the flowers in a separate vase of water. Dawn explained how I should hold my bouquets, and I have to say, my bouquets were heavy with all the beautiful magenta flowers and their lovely fragrance. When I handed out the flowers to my maid-of-honor and bridesmaids, they couldn't believe how beautiful they were--and the groom, best man, groomsmen, and ushers were just as impressed. We did not appreciate the quality or inappropriate selection of cheap sun flowers and carnations; nor do we think the value aligned with its price point. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Based on other customers photos along with my own, this florist's flower preference is sun flowers no matter the occasion. There are not enough words to express how amazing Robert and his staff at Events by Floral Sensations are. My son and new daughter (Kristoffer and Melissa) selected to have their wedding at Vellano Country Club which is a Wedgewood venue. Events by Floral Sensations is Wedgewood's floral vendor. I could not have been happier. We met Robert for our initial consultation. My son and new daughter each had specific ideas of what they wanted for the centerpieces, the bouquets, the aisle and altar florals. Robert made magic. I can honestly say I have never been so impressed with floral arrangements. I had people coming up to me with compliments on all of the florals. We had decided to upgrade the floral arch from what Wedgewood offered to the one that Robert had designed for Vellano and I am so glad that we did. It looked amazing, Robert went above and beyond flowers and even made a suggestion on the tuxedo that my son should wear for his special day. My son took Robert's suggestion and he looked amazing. I was very disappointed with the customer service experience. Given the significant amount of money we invested, we expected to feel valued and supported throughout the process. Unfortunately, at times our questions seemed to be met with irritation, and the tone from some staff members (especially Jacqui) came across as bothered rather than helpful. Additionally, My husband and I were not impressed with the asymmetrical arch. It consisted of much more greenery than red florals and lacked fullness. The arch did not align with what we believed had been discussed or envisioned. This added to our overall disappointment, as we expected the final design to better reflect our expectations and the investment made. Overall, we hoped for a more welcoming, appreciative experience, one that reflected the importance of such a meaningful event. Floral sensations is AMAZING! My husband and I left there after our first meeting with Robert beyond happy! We knew we were on right track for a beautiful wedding with him on our team!
