This is my least favorite W XYZ bar and lounge, of the four I've been to (the ones in the south bay…read moreare better). The Newark location is smaller and simpler, and the atmosphere is not as inviting, especially with noisy kids running amok and banging on things repeatedly, parents incapable of controlling their unruly children (which is why they don't belong in bars), a strange vibe not ideal for couples just trying to have a chill night out. But at least the service was good, one guy workin hard manning the entire bar and lounge. They were out of limoncello on Saturday evening, so we ended up getting The Mahoney, Viva, and a gin martini. The specialty cocktails were pretty good, especially the Viva. The bartender also gave us free shots of martell cognac before we left.

When planning our wedding, we wanted an outdoor space where we could bring our own food and desserts, but still have drinks for everyone--so Birdhaus made sense. Having the place private for our wedding was great, and they let us transform the space so we could make our setup happen. The drinks were a hit with everyone--the sake slushies, mimosas, and micheladas went down so easy, plus they have a rotating beer tap list. If you want a nice place to chill with friends outside over bomb food and killer drinks, especially on a nice summer day, then this is the spot!

Not only beer, they do have a few drinks for kids They have restroom porter potties out back but there is a single restroom in front inside. A few tables inside as well where you order food. The usual hangout is the outdoor area. Sometimes they have small vendors that sell food but my second time there, there wasn't. We came on a Saturday between 2-6p. My friend was DJing Fun times!! I would love to come back again during the evenings just to see how they look at night but I had only visited them during the afternoons. They don't close late though so when the nights get darker earlier, I will definitely make my way back, invite all my friends and post more pictures.

Found a spot near the back to watch the Packers game. Most of the TVs were playing the Raiders game with the audio on for the Raiders, the "local team". We stayed for the whole game and had two servers. First server was friendly and patient. Second server was friendly enough. Never had any issues ordering drinks or getting food and we put in 3 separate orders. Shout out to the bartender, who was a Packers fan and came over to high five us whenever the Packers scored. It's always fun when there's more camaraderie! We still haven't found a Packers bar in South Bay, so check this place out if you're a Packers fan and you'll at least have one buddy at the bar. The Packers collapsed in typical recent Packer fashion, but I digress... The food: Buffalo Wings - Pretty happy with this. Nice crust and sauce. Comes with celery, carrots, and ranch. Some places don't even give this out anymore (sadness). Half Order Nachos with Carnitas - This was a good portion for our group. Carnitas was tasty. Bourbon Brussels - Brussels sprouts with bacon bourbon garlic and onion maple sauce. This sauce is boss. Thought the sprouts were fried a tad too long, but this was tasty. Lemon Pepper Wings - Good flavor, but our order got way over salted. Either that or Lemon Pepper sauce had too much salt. Still edible, but not my preference. Tacos - this was the only fail for the items we ordered. The tortillas were ok. The steak was really dry (avoid carne asada). Got some pickled vegetables but this could have used some salsa. Everyday happy hour from 4-6:30 PM with discounted drinks and appetizers. All their food options are listed on their website. They had 14 beers on tap with a couple of canned options as well. It's a full bar, so they also had wine and cocktails. Non alcoholic options available as well. Great place to watch a full game. Never felt rushed and the other patrons are polite.

We decided to do the mini golf and darts combo and we had so much fun! Food wasn't available just yet but the bar was open and both of our drinks (we ordered from the signature cocktail menu) were well balanced and tasty. We're so excited to have a place like this in town where you can get together with friends or have a fun date night. We highly recommend coming by and trying out the games over a couple of drinks. Games: We started our axe throwing and our guide, Aaron, was top notch! I have never EVER been able to hit the target while axe throwing, but not only did Aaron's knowledge and guidance help me land my first axe ever, I went on to defeat my boyfriend in almost every game we played (thank you for that Aaron!) Next we went to the mini golf where Teo gave us a great run down of the process. He had great energy and gave us a great demonstration before we started, which just set us off on such a great journey with the game. And WOW was the mini golf fun! The digital, time-based format is very unlike traditonal mini-golf so if you have a golf skeptic, take them here and I think they will have a fun time. Finally, we decided to check out Crazy Darts, which was steel tip darts thrown at a projected screen with fun games. The games were incredibly unique and engaging, and Matthew was such a great game attendant! He gave us great reccomendations and was our hype man throughout the whole time we were there. Drinks: AI started with an espresso martini which was good but then I got the Woodsman which was a pleasant surprise! I am not a whiskey/bourbon girl ever but I really loved the slightly sweet and smokey taste. My partner got the Teed Off (or Up?) which was both citrusy and banana-y and he really enjoyed that too. Overall this was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE and I cannot reccomend it enough. My partner and I are already excited for our next trip!

My friends and I come here every Monday for their golf simulator, but they have so many things like an arcade, bouldering, rock climbing, badminton and volleyball courts, as well as a full bar that serves food. My cousin loves their golf simulator which is in the back and you have to reserve it. There's 2 of them in the back room so multiple parties can be on the simulator. $20 per person for an hour which isn't bad. Since I don't use the simulator, I don't have to pay, I just hang out with my friends. I usually just order a drink and hang out. You order at the bar and they will bring the food right to you. They also have a bunch of tvs around that has all the sports channels on. There's so much to do and all of the workers are friendly and helpful. Love this spot so much to a point where we come here pretty much every Monday to hang out after work.
