With everything the bring to the table, there's something above average. For instance, the fish and chips is loaded with flavor. Maybe it's the starter sauce, or the fact the use some of their own beer in the batter. Maybe it's just that they use the best ingredients. The beef barley soup is pretty good in the same way. No complaints here! Co-worker and I stopped by for to-go orders during lunch to bring back to the office. I got the Kraft mac n cheese, which I didn't take seriously, but it was legit Kraft mac n cheese lol. It came with a huuuuge scoop of mashed potatoes as my side. Potatoes were creamy with enough salt and pepper that I didn't need to add any. I also got a pretzel, which was fine, but the dill mustard sauce it came with was bomb and the nacho cheese sauce had a nice kick. They also threw in a little handful of fries, which was super nice. The lady who took our orders was pleasant and efficient. Dunno about some of the complaints. I'm not white and didn't feel like I was treated in a discriminatory manner. As for the food, I tried out the all-star burger with bacon. It was huge for me but filling. The caramelized onions and garlic added to the flavor. They have indoor and outdoor seating and they're expectation is that you're there to eat a meal which is fine but we expected more of a casual brewery vibe due to the name. They have multiple large tv's with various sports on, live music on Saturdays 7p -9p, an open mic night, the food smelled great but we weren't there to eat so we didnt look at a menu. Great place to watch any sporting events- more lowkey compared to other bar and grill places so it is easier to grab a table. The food was larger than I thought so really a bang for your buck. It's been a while since I last had a meal here. I forgot how darn good their food and beer were. I had the large order of the Fish and Chips. It came with a hefty order of fries and an equal portion of their excellent coleslaw. You get three large pieces of fried fish. The batter was light and crispy. The fish was delicious. The fries were crispy and delicious. I doused them with malt vinegar. It also came with some delicious tartar sauce. I washed it down with a pint of their 25th Anniversary Golden Ale. It was perfect with a light balance of tart and sweet. It's been a while since I frequented the restaurant and wish I came here more often. It's well worth the trip from Warm Springs. I used to come here frequently and then I stopped coming and haven't been back in a while. Met up with some friends to catch some football. Place was packed but we were seated fairly quickly. We ordered some beers and a monster platter ( pictured* your choice of 4 appetizers) and some wings, everything came out super hot and was delicious. Jacks brew has been located in the Hub area of Fremont for quite some time. Just recently, we've visited here about 3 times the last two weeks. The place is very big and spacious. It is known to get really packed during the NBA warrior games and NFL niner games, (and possibly just possibly Raiser games lol). Nonetheless, for a pub the food is pretty spot on here. To date, I've tried the loaded quesadilla with steak, wings, and a bacon cheese burger. This place hands down has the best wings in Fremont and possibly the Tri-City area. Something about how they cook the wings here are different. They crisp up the outside to the max and the wings are perfectly moist in the inside. They make their own Buffalo sauce which is outstanding. The loaded steak quesadilla was also a hit. Sometime, you goto places and the steak is sometimes bland. But not here. It packed a punch of flavor and was delicious. For being a pun atmosphere the food is spot on. I hear the fish and chips are up to par also. I'll be trying that next. read more

I'm back in Fremont and decided to give Jacks another go round. I really wanted to hit a brewery I hadn't been to but none were nearby. Plus I always like to give a place a second try if possible when I review them low. It struck me reviewing my original review that I have a bad habit of not proofreading well. I make no guarantees this one will be better. Jacks hasn't changed at all in the 4 years since my last visit as far as I can tell. It still has that sports bar/locals vibe to it which I like. The decor has a very "Cheers West" kind of thing going. Yeah, I'm not sure exactly what that means either. Jacks IPA was pretty mild but had consistent hop flavor. Hardwood pale didn't really appeal to me. It had a bit of a flavor, likely from the hops which I couldn't place. It was one of the ones I liked on my last visit but wasn't a favorite this go round. Did the recipe change a little or did my palate? A little of both. No way to know. Crazy Hazy was definitely hazy unlike a lot of "hazys" you run across these days. Funny thing about this one. On first taste I didn't care for it but on my second, after having a bite of the very good onion rings, I really liked it. Don't let those wine snobs act like it's only wines that work with particular foods. Gridiron Amber was good. I didn't like it much last time around and wish I could do a side by side comparison. It's been four years, things progress. SWPFTD would happily drink this one. I ordered a peppered pastrami sandwich and onion rings and enjoyed both. They do have really good onion rings. Along with that I ordered a pint of the Gridiron amber. Overall I really liked Jacks. Again, the staff was excellent and the food was good. If I were local I could see myself hanging out here. The beers were good, better than my first visit I would say. The beers aren't at the top of my list but they are enjoyable and the staff, decor, and food make up for any shortfall. This is a good neighborhood spot (it's super conveniently located for me when I go to Fremont). I believe it's family owned and operated. I like to sit at the bar so I can socialize; everyone has been really friendly (staff and other patrons). The food is good! My favorite thing by far has been the Beef Barley soup..... i know soups seems really un-special but its so good! I've tasted a few of the salads and they were also good. Been coming here for years. It's a great place for the locals to come hang out and drink good beers and eat above average food.

I've must passed this place 1000 times in the last 18 years, nothing really attracted me to go in this place until my friend took me in, and it's the right reasons why it's so dead. I guess if you're just there to drink it's alright but the menu is very bleh. then last week they are serving for the Fremont Art festival, their pours are so inconsistent to the point even they had to repour, they're selling ten dollars for a 5 ounce pour and couldn't even pour the right amound consistently, basically selling their cheapest bottle at $50-60 bottle and can't even serve them at the right amount, won't spend the money with them ever again. read more

Ordered sour cream with the tacos and had to ask for it twice. By the time it came out the tacos were almost gone. Asked for salt for the fries.waited for that and eventually had to go get it ourselves. By then the fries were cold. Nobody checked on us after the food was delivered. A really chill place in town! The ladies working at the bar are extremely nice and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure my sister and I had a good time. First off, they get 4.5 stars New owners is what Yelp said and I used to love this place but then many visits of disappointment I gave up. Hearing they have new owners gave me a urge to go back and hope it was what I used to enjoy. Took the whole family and we all enjoyed it, even the very hard to please teenage daughter had not one criticism....which is rare! I got the bun less burger, doing low carb diet and it was great to see there was a choice for that. It was great, favor was there and everything was fresh. I did however have 2 of the beer battered onion rings, wow .... Awesome! Must Try! Our drinks never got empty. Server was great! The place was clean. Tv's all round. Love this place! It's one of the few places left with a "locals" vibe. A great place to hang out. There's nothing fancy or unusual on the menu, but everything is SUPER tasty (if you go for breakfast on Sunday be sure to try the biscuits and gravy!). Went here with my mom when she was visiting me in the area. I am a native Midwesterner and we take our beer very seriously. I only got the chance to try the "Jack'D IPA" and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lighter beer, with a decently high ABV at 8%. Definitely would have it again. The food was just alright. We split a salad with Salmon on top, and it wasn't anything special, however definitely not bad, if I were to go back, I would definitely try something more exciting. This is the first time in 15+ years visiting Jack's Brewing Co. I didn't expect to stay long but that turned out to be a relaxing 3 hours! I had a flight of four of their own beers, all good. My seatmates along with server Veronica and the girl whose name I didn't get, made great conversation, SORRY if you're reading this! I ordered their Peppered Pastrami with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut with a Dijon mustard sauce (otherwise mostly a Reuben) along with homemade onion rings. The sandwich was delicious and delectable. This is our third time here. First time the service and food was ok. The second time service was super slow. Today we gave them another chance. We walked in, there is a sign that says "wait to be seated". Another couple was there in front of us. A couple of minutes went by. No one came to greet and seat us. Finally a gal came out from the kitchen area. Saw us and the other couple but did not acknowledge both us and the other couple. She proceeded to take the order from a table. And disappeared again. So we grabbed a couple menus and sat ourselves. After a few more minutes. No one came to offer us drinks. She knew we were there but proceeded to take orders from another table. We looked at the other couple that walked in the same time as us and they weren't served either. We stood up and walked out. Thanks but no thanks to this very poor service.
