I am not sure how long this place will survive. Few reasons for my doubt. 1. This place is dead quiet even on a Friday evening. We sat for 45 mins and not a single customer walked in except for the 2 who were already there. The ambiance was dull and boring. 2. The place doesn't stand out when someone drives by. Inside looks very shabby. Some fresh paint would definitely help. What does it take to simply paint those doors and windows? 3. When I asked for a small taste of the beer, the guy gave me a small plastic cup full of froth. Beer is cheap unlike Whiskey, why can't you give me at least a sip? 4. Beers are all $10. Agree, other places also charge around the same but if they want customers, then there needs to be a reason for people to come. If this place charges $10 whereas FieldWorks also charges $10 or less for a pint, I wonder why I would drink here. read more

I spent the majority of my 20s drinking here. This was my first time back in probably 5 years. It was not as bustling as it once was which made me sad! It was practically empty on a Friday evening. The beer selection has gotten worse and the prices average $12 a pint!! I'm not sure what's going on with the management here but the vibe is not the same. I used to be very friendly with the bartenders and it just doesn't have the same inviting feeling it once did as your local watering hole. I'm glad they added patio chairs outside, but they need to be wiped down. They also used to have a food truck outside which wasn't there tonight. They still have decent cans Togo in the fridge. Is this place still open? Seems like I'm not the only one asking this question and the most recent review was 5 months ago. I came here before after a hike from Mission Peak with 2 friends about a couple years ago and I enjoyed their to-go selections from the fridges. Tap selection was decent but nothing super crazy. I tried to swing by this place again about a month ago and they weren't open? I checked every site possible, including their Facebook page, for their hours and confirmed that they should have been open (Was about 4:30PM.) Didn't bother getting out of the car, parked across the street and could see inside that it's dark and no one there. Kind of a shame because I wanted to give this place another try since it's only one of the few craft places in town with better selection than most grocery stores. read more

This is one of the only places open late in Fremont. Super chill place to hang out with your friends. I've had multiple celebrations here where my party and I occupied their side patio for FREE! I've had this place saved on my Yelp for awhile and finally went. It was a bit of a letdown. We came on a Saturday, late afternoon and it was pretty empty. We ordered a couple beers, the one I wanted unfortunately ran out as she went to pour it. The guy offered to grab a new keg from the back, very nice. So I waited. I was standing at our table with my wallet in hand, however at no point did the bartender update me on my order. No, "hey, here ya go" or "sorry, that one is all out can I offer you something else?" Which was the case when I returned to the bar. So I did get a different beer, which was a sour, served in a pint glass, which is apparently all they have. Always a cool spot to hang out and grab some good beer. California Craft Beer is one of the few places in the area that sells a wide selection of beer. When I say wide, I mean really wide. They have 16 beers on tap and a countless amounts more in the fridges. You can have a pint poured for you fresh, or you can get a bottle or can and crack a cold one with the boys. I've never been disappointed with their selection. They have everything ranging from lagers to ales to double IPAs to sours and sometimes even some very interesting ones. They allow one tasting per person, but if you're like me, just do a flight. The prices on the board are for a full pour or for a flight. Unfortunately flights can get very expensive depending on the beer. Still, I think it's pretty worth it to be able to try 4 different good beers. This place is really close to Ohlone College, so you get a lot of students coming from classes. On weekends, they normally have a food truck outside, so you can also get your grub on! Really close to Ohlone College, this place seemed like a drinking room. Apparently they had some foods, but I didn't see any being served. Saw a couple plates on tables in the room. Grabbed a Drake's Aroma Coma and the last available table. Actually had to snag a stool from another table because this last table only had one stool. Saw no food served while I was there. A couple people had food- I assumed they brought it in. Looks like they did tacos some day previous. Not tonight. They had an impressive looking cooler with all sorts of types of beer. May return. The left side of the shop offers a selection of beers that can be purchased by the bottle or in small packs. The place is located near Ohlone College and is pretty small and has a rustic homey feel to it. Every time I go here, I usually get a flight or two to really get a taste of everything before I fully commit. I mean 4 tastings for about $7.50 is pretty worth it for me. CCB is my go-to spot when I happen to be near Fremont and want to grab a beer with friends. Of course, you don't have too many other options in the area if you want a large variety of beers. The beer scene is still very much lacking in Fremont and in South Bay overall, and thus CCB is a gem by default. The tasting room itself leaves much to be desired - it's kind of dark inside, not much natural light can get in. I would SO love an outdoor patio or even just MORE WINDOWS. The beer is definitely the main reason to come here. They always have a good rotation of pale ales, unique stouts, hazy IPAs, and the like. Service is always fast, yet relaxed. I love this part of Fremont! It's so cute and quaint with the local shops. :) This place is no different and I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere here. I went here on a Sunday afternoon with a few friends while the Niners game was on. I don't see this place being a sports bar, so it wasn't exactly crowded. There were a decent amount of seats and I love the seats by the windows because the stools are shaped like kegs. The sofas by the TV also looked comfy as well! The bartender was nice enough to split our bill evenly on separate transactions (we ordered 4 flights to split between 3 girls)! Another worker who was just getting off her shift was also very friendly and helpful. On her way out she noticed we were debating on what to get and she stopped and gave us some suggestions. We ended up getting 4 flights- basically every drink on the menu. Haha. Flights are $6 each, so we ended up spending $8/person, what a steal! What a hidden gem of Fremont! I almost don't want to review it because I want to keep the whereabouts to myself because the place does fill up rather quickly in the evenings. I came here on a Friday after dinner around 8:30 and the seating was already pretty limited. The California beer selections on tap rotate ever so often. You can either choose to order a goblet of your selection, or opt for a beer flight of 4 tastings of your choosing for $6.50. I really enjoyed all of my tastings and for $6.50 it was a great way to try a variety of beers. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and will gladly offer you samples before you select your 4 choices. They also will offer a bowl of chips or pretzels with your beers which is a nice gesture :) If you don't see a beer on tap that you like, you can order a bottle and enjoy it on site too. If you do end up falling in love with one of the beers on tap that you try, you can most likely buy the bottle and take it home to enjoy later. read more

Finally they did, but couldn't tell me what kind of food truck they would have on the date I wanted to visit. FYI, if you come here after work in the middle of the work week, Mission Blvd. will be extremely crowded, as a lot of commuters will use this road as a shortcut while driving Northbound from I-680. This place is so great! We went her for my bf's bday and everything was great! We were able to get a table for our group very easily and there was plenty of parking too. The bartenders were super nice and friendly. They got us our beers very quickly and explained the different flavor profiles of each of the beers that we were interested in. It is hard to choose because they have so many beers. They even have beers to purchase to take home which is awesome also! The only thing I didn't like about the place was that it was so bright in there. I mean, its not a horrible thing, but still pretty bright. I still love the place so I will definitely be back!
