    Prime rib dinner
    Rich Q.

Lived in fremont for years now and have only tried this place out because a friend recommended their primerib nights on Wednesdays. Now I love primerib! So rating might be a little on the low end and mainly for the meal. Called for a Togo order. Gentleman answered and didn't really know about the prime rib dinner and had to ask someone. Nice guy and might've been new. Didn't ask for my name for the order but did tell me how long. About 10 mins. Wife went in and picked up food so I don't really know how the place looked like. Will update review once I come back and grab a few beers. Onto the meat! They actually forgot about the salads that came with our dinner but that's ok, sort of used to that nowadays and it's our fault for not inspecting the food prior to leaving. Mashed potatoes were decent and smooth with hardly any clumps and a well seasoned gravy. Vegetable mix was cooked well with a butter garlic sauce and seasoned nicely. However the meat was some what tough. Lacking a little more flavor and more on the fatty side. Meat was closer to medium well which I love it to be medium rare. However the person did warn us that it would be a toss up on how done our meat would be lol. Overall our dinner was decent. Most definitely not in my top 10 of prime rib dinners, but for $20 it's not bad at all. It's worth the $20 and you shouldn't expect much flavor wise with that price range. Will probably try again in house with some drinks to fully see how the place is. Don't mind my sons finger dipping into my dang potatoes hahaha

Ask the Community - Swiss Park Bar & Grille

Looking to rent the park there but what is the "main park" and "park annex"? are they different parks?

They are different spaces in the park area. The main is a large space with a stage and a small playground area. The park annex is a smaller space next to the main park.…

Do they have daily specials? And do they offer prime rib meals? Heard they used to. Is that still the case?

They do have daily specials Monday through Friday 4:00pm-9:00pm. The day for the prime rib special…

Is there handicap accessible parking near the indoor or outdoor spaces?

    Yes there is.

    Are there ghosts?

Not that I am aware of, but if there is one he or she is very friendly

How many people does the hall and/or park hold for a private event? And what is considered peak season? Are there requirements to rent.. like must use food from their place?

The amount of people in the hall depends on the set up. It can hold 500 people with no tables and chairs if you are having a concert and want dancing room only. You will need to ger a permit from the city and will need to hire security.…

Does the outside seating allow for drinking beer in the summer?

Absolutely! You can drink at the picnic tables. There is also an outside area in the park you can rent that allows drinking as well.

Is swiss park dog friendly? Can I bring my pooch to hang out in the outdoor area?

Swiss is pet friendly as far as it being okay to hang out at the picnic tables outside the bar area.…

I have to start by saying everything was perfect, Food was great etc. - until I was handed the check. The waitress had the nerve to add gratuity for 2 guest! On top of this, she had the nerve to rip the check and not provide a complete check. What she didn't know, is that I am a regular at BJs. I ALWAYS scan the barcode at the bottom of the check to pay. This way I receive my BJs rewards. Well, the waitress rushed off after handing my husband the check and never returned. I had to stop another waiter and ask him for his assistance. He indeed confirmed the check was not complete and he will have his manager take care of it. 15 minutes went by and the manager finally approached me. (didn't get his name, he is Indian) He hands me a copy of a complete check (since the one the waitress gave me was ripped in half) And he said - "Were you upset because she automatically applied the gratuity?" that pissed me off and I corrected him and said - Not only did she automatically apply the gratuity, she literally tore the bottom of the check so I couldn't see the complete check" What really upset me about the whole situation was - I WAS ABLE TO VIEW THE DIGITAL CHECK ON MY APP!!! I already knew what my total was. The manager tried his hardest to cover the issue the waitress caused but the damage was already done. I am highly upset the waitress did this! I ALWAYS tip over 20%. Because of this issue, I did not tip the thieving waitress. I ended up tipping the waiter who went to get his supervisor. He didn't even want the tip. Let me know he was just doing his job. I told him he was the only person who could tell me the truth! It was the waitress's fault. And because I'm a good human being - I forced him to take the tip!!! He tried to give me half of the tip back but I told him he deserved it!! Because of this situation, it ruined our date night. We couldn't stop talking about what just transpired. I am STILL highly upset! I really hope to hear from the other manager - Mad I don't know his name but he has Locs and he always takes care of my husband and I when we come to this location.

I was here for an art show last night, but honestly? The food ended up being the masterpiece. We essentially tried to defeat the menu and the menu won. 10/10, no notes. The Highlights: Hawaiian Sliders: Absolutely bomb. The perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm still thinking about them 24 hours later. Crispy Quesatacos with Chicken Tinga: Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. It's hard to find chicken Tinga in a crispy Quesataco this authentic in a pop-up setting, but they nailed it flavor bomb Pupusas & Tacos: My friend and I went in on these and they did not disappoint. The pupusa was thick, cheesy, and had that perfect crisp on the outside. The Verdict: There wasn't a single miss on the menu. I even grabbed an extra haul to take home to my husband--usually, "to-go" food loses its soul on the car ride home, but he was obsessed. I'm already checking their schedule to see where they'll be next. If you want to eat the best food in San Francisco right now, this is it.

I've probably ordered that exact combination over a thousand times, and Country Way in Fremont makes it better than anyone. The bacon is thick-cut, generously portioned, and cooked exactly the way I like it--crispy without being burnt. The country fried potatoes were outstanding--crispy and golden on the outside, yet soft and almost creamy on the inside. They're the kind of breakfast potatoes that are so good you end up finishing every last bite. The staff is warm and friendly, making the place feel like a neighborhood institution rather than just another breakfast spot. One thing I also love is the building itself. Country Way is housed in a wonderfully preserved vintage A-frame that feels like a trip back to a different era. Instead of chasing trendy, it embraces its history, and that charm is part of the experience. If you judge a breakfast restaurant by how well it executes the classics, Country Way absolutely nails it. Sometimes simple food, done exceptionally well, is the hardest thing to find

A Place I Keep Coming Back To…read more I've been to Texas Roadhouse many times over the years--I just never remembered to take photos until this visit. For me, Texas Roadhouse isn't about finding the most expensive or most luxurious steak. It's about getting together with family or friends, enjoying a cold beer, sharing great appetizers, and having a relaxed meal without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a classic American steakhouse. It's lively, energetic, and always feels welcoming. I also love the open kitchen and the hand-cut steak display when you walk in. Watching the staff prepare fresh steaks adds to the whole experience. One thing I miss is the old bucket of complimentary peanuts. They now come in individual bags, which is definitely cleaner and more hygienic, but I do miss that old-school Texas Roadhouse tradition. The warm fresh-baked rolls with cinnamon butter are still incredible. Honestly, I could probably eat an entire basket before my entrée arrives. My must-order items every single visit: Steak The steaks are consistently good. Are they premium steakhouse quality? No. But they're cooked well, seasoned properly, and offer excellent value for the price. That's exactly why I keep coming back. Cactus Blossom (The Giant Onion Appetizer) This is an absolute MUST. It's surprisingly difficult to find restaurants that serve an onion appetizer this size anymore. Most places either offer onion rings or a much smaller blooming onion. Texas Roadhouse's Cactus Blossom is enormous, beautifully presented, and fried to a perfect golden crisp. Every petal stays crunchy while the onion inside remains sweet and tender. Pair it with their signature dipping sauce, and it's the perfect appetizer to share over drinks. If you're visiting for the first time, don't skip it. It has become one of the signature dishes that keeps me ordering it every visit. Fried Catfish Another item I highly recommend. Crispy on the outside, moist and flaky inside, and surprisingly light. It goes perfectly with a cold beer and good conversation. Loaded Baked Potato Simple but done right--loaded with sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and butter. Comfort food at its best. One thing that deserves special recognition is the service. Every visit, the servers have been friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Drinks are refilled before you even have to ask, and they frequently check in without being intrusive. Great service makes a huge difference, and the staff here consistently delivers. They're absolutely the kind of servers who deserve a generous tip. At the end of the day, Texas Roadhouse isn't trying to compete with high-end steakhouses--and that's perfectly fine. It knows exactly what it is: a fun, casual American steakhouse where people gather to enjoy good food, cold beer, and great company. The steak is consistently good, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, and the overall experience keeps me coming back. I'll definitely be back again. Highly recommended.
