This place is amazing!! Pie was out of this world. We got the mocha cream pie. The chocolate filling was delicious. Rich. Not an overpowering mocha flavor. . Fresh whipped cream that wasn't too sweet. And the true test of a good pie or not. The crust. And this was spot on. It was buttery. Crispy. Not greasy tasting like so many crusts are. Finally got around to coming here, so happy I did. My boyfriend and I shared a piece of scallion, ham, & cheddar quiche, and also some other savory pie with spinach. Neither us could decide which one we liked better! We liked them so much we had to try another. Split a sesame ginger pork hand pie....oh god. So good. Kinda tasted like a big flaky pork dumpling. Ambiance is a little too hippy dippy but damn those savory pies are good. read more

What a wonderful find! I was working in the area and found this adorable place with such kind staff. Immediately upon spotting I thought of my grandmother and her pie making tradition. Once inside I noticed the wonderful smells of fresh coffee and fresh pies! I bought a pear tart, whiskey walnut pie, and two smaller tarts. All of the pies and pastries were wonderful - my friends all were impressed with flavor and freshness. Definitely a great find on a snowy Saturday morning ! read more

Amazing treats! Not just the pies, but the cookies, pastries, coffee-- can't go wrong. Had a chicken and a mushroom hand pie and was SO glad we tried the savory pastries! They've had great COVID precautions this entire time-- we just walked up to the window and ordered and had quick and kind service from Chloe. It makes it feel like a safe trip for customers and employees-- even during a pandemic! Delicious food, warm staff, one of my favorite bakeries in the Valley. I passed this on the way to pick up a friend for a meeting and needed to give it a try on my way home. She lives in the area, but said she wasn't impressed with the pies as the slices are small for $4.50 and the pies are average. I have to agree. The flavor of the blackbottom pie was good, but it wasn't anything amazing. If all a place sells is pie, it had better be fabulous pie. I didn't find that to be the case. My friend had a peanut butter pie and felt the same way. Okay, but not anything we'd go back for. I took an everything scone home and my partner raved about it, so apparently the scones outdo the pies. They also sell cookies and such but cannot speak to them. It is beyond adorable inside and has a nice table outside to sit at, so the ambiance is great. I might try another kind of pie in the future. read more

Lines to the door...no baked goods in the case....Saturday out of everything but you don't know what everything is since you did not know what they offered for pies or goods that day. No Menus...chalk board with general information about what they sell like pies but not what kind. Second Saturday with pies sold out except for blueberry and key lime pie as well as whatever else they were selling . Open only until 4p during the week so if you work out of town only time to go to the Pie Bar is on Saturdays. Forget about ordering for Thanksgiving will never get there before 4:00PM to get your pie (s) and the cost would be outrageous for more than 1 pie. Poor planning, disorganized in the front...one person to ring and one person to serve. You would think this would flow correctly but it does not....wait is 15 minutes or longer from start to finish. Don't eat there since you have lines of customers next to you sneezing and coughing! And you have to wait for whatever you order. You pay for your order then wait to get it! Owner is over their head...can tell has not run a business before. Don't waste your time...a slice of pie if you can get one - $4.75 for fruit...small piece looks like there are 8 pieces per pie. Want a whole pie kick up $20.00 for a fruit pie...normal cost for the same in this area is $14.00 - $15.00. If you think of calling a head for an order - will still wait in line. No parking - 3 spaces in the front and one of these is handicap. As I left so did 3 other customers and I don't think they will be back either. read more

Where to start. Key lime pie too salty to eat. Apple pie too salty to eat plus the apples actually crunched in your mouth. Smallest portions outside of a five star in NYC, with prices to match. I called to ask about the salt content to match a cow lick, maybe there was a mix up in ingredients....no one called back. Poor customer service to say the least. Being sold out of pie isn't grounds for a poor review. In fact, it usually indicates that a new restaurant is doing very well. In this case the majority of critics are impatient, pie-less, and hangry. I understand! I feel your pain. I understand what it's like to dream of pie utopia (pie topia) and be disappointed. I went to pie bar on Saturday around 2pm. I made a blunder but was fortunate to snag some delicious sweet potato pie. While I do not want to antagonize the pie-less, it was just the right amount of sweet with a flaky crust baked to perfection. The coffee was good as well. I asked about the pie situation and a very nice pie barista informed me that on a Saturday you need to be outside and in line when they open 8am. If this isn't your thing, try your chances Tuesday-Friday. I was informed that this would greatly improve your chances and your trip wouldn't end up pie-less, lonely, and hungry. The pie bar deserves at least four stars: good pie, good people, good coffee, and a great concept. I will wait until I have tried more of their pies before I consider that 5th star. Check it out. Everything about the Pie Bar has been thoughtfully crafted and designed. The atmosphere is cozy, charming and beautiful. The staff is generous with their time and clearly cares about the food. And then the pie!!! Everything I've tried has been unbelievable, favorites include - salted chocolate pie, rhubarb pie, cherry pie, maple cream, matcha pie, block bottom oat... they really do it all. Friends of mine had them cater the dessert at their wedding. The pie was so much fun, displayed really beautifully and was a huge hit I think everyone had 2 pieces of pie!! Other things to know: no gluten free or vegan options. No WiFi. Not a place to come work on computer but definitely a place to come on a date :) read more

Students beware: Pie Bar has no wi-fi. The first time I was there they said they were working on getting wi-fi soon. I come in 3-4 months later, and the owner says they just straight up don't have wi-fi. This is after I ordered $10 worth of food (plus the tip). Pie Bar is small. I get why they wouldn't want students camping out there to study, but I'd rather see time limits imposed on the tables than a cafe without any wi-fi. Put a sign on the table asking customers to limit their stay to 30 minutes or something, but don't open a cafe without wi-fi. This isn't 1980. Also, one star because both times I was in their pies were undercooked and the filling was runny, and the owner is also condescending and annoying. I had to sit there and listen to him interact with people the entire time I was there. What else was I going to do? I had no wi-fi. read more

Trying to a get a pie here is like winning the lottery. I visited the location a few times when it first opened and the pies were sold out. However, when I did finally locate a pie, I have to say it was worth the wait. It's a pie place that does pie right. I'm finally reviewing because I think of this instance every time I see their advertising. I took my mom there, who is lactose-intolerant. Being in the valley I thought they would have several vegan options but they did not. The counter help acted annoyed at all the dietary questions, like we were holding up the line. She got nothing and so I ordered a slice and a cup of joe. The coffee was bitter and stone cold. I let the person know it was cold and asked for hot coffee- and she proceeded to microwave my cup!! I didn't say anything because I was stunned. I never even microwaved old coffee when I worked in fast food, I always made it fresh. The pie was just decent but nothing impressive. With so many better options in the area for good service and better food, I wouldn't go back. read more

I went for the first time here while in town for the holidays. In Texas we have a "pie bar" but it is very different. I didn't try any of their pie slices but instead dined on a delectable chicken curry hand pie. Yum Yum. It was delicious and just the right size. I did try a bite of the bacon, mushroom, horseradish soup and that was delicious too. The coffee was brewed just right and was very tasty. However, I think it was PT's coffee out of Kansas so really?! We have some the best local coffee here in the valley something local would be great. Also, I did think it was very pricey although , this is the valley, if you are excepting economical prices in the valley, look elsewhere. I'd go again, probably not often due to my limited budget (and the fact that I normally reside in Texas) but considering the amount of people frequenting this place they are doing something right. read more

Florence Pie Bar provided pies for my wedding this past weekend. We cannot say enough nice things about them. They were responsive, collaborative, sensitive to our allergy needs, and able to keep prices very reasonable. We got many many compliments on the pie for our wedding and were consistently impressed with the service we received from the staff. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but I found 2 different pie slices to be inedible. First, I had a slice of the Salted Caramel Chocolate pie and it was way too salty and dark for my taste, but I thought it could be just my personal taste so I went back a few weeks later and had the coconut cream pie. I was even more disappointed. I usually have nothing negative to say about pie, but the crust on this pie was very hard to bite, chew, and swallow. The texture of the crust was like stringy cardboard and it had no flavor. It was even hard to cut with a knife. There was whipped cream on top of the pie, which I thought could be its saving grace, but even that had a flavor that was off and unappetizing. I usually love pie and hated to waste it, but did find it inedible. I really do hope that they get it together and start selling tasty pie or even mediocre pie because the atmosphere and design of the place is fantastic inside and out and I love the idea of stopping in town for a slice! read more

I found the Pie Bar to be charming and the pie tasty enough, but I don't know if it lives up to the hype. The decor is the appropriate amount of rustic and hipster, if there can be such a thing. There were fresh flowers and potted plants throughout the sunny space, and when we were served our pie it was with a glass milk bottle of full of water and two glass goblets. We ordered a slice each of the apple tart and the chocolate oat, as well as a rolled pastry stuffed with ham and cheese. I wish we had either been offered to have all three warmed or requested it, because I feel like it would have taken the pie and pastry from decent to good or even great. The apple tart lived up to its name; it was slightly tart with a more pastry-like crust. The chocolate oat had a great chewy filling, but again, would have been so much better had it not been served at room temperature. I decided to come back after finding them all run out of pie on Pi Day. I had been excited to try this place, but was wary after my first visit. They had run out of pie, but I was still considering getting something else. However, the person behind the counter ignored us and carried on with their conversation, even as we were staring at the menu and wondering out loud what kinds of soup they had. The service this time around was much better. The guy working was friendly and as we were bussing our dishes, asked us how our pie was. I'm still not sure whether I will be back, at least on a regular basis; this seems more like an every-now-and-then place. There are two parking spots in front of the building, one of which is labeled as being accessible parking OR for pick-up -- there should really be a spot reserved solely for accessible parking. read more

We visited for the first time today and the place itself is super cute. It is small on the inside but they did have a few tables outside to eat at. I had a piece of pecan pie that was absolutely delicious. However good the pie was, it was $5.08 (with tax) for a tiny sliver of pie. For that price, I just wanted a bit bigger piece, more bang for our buck. I was also expecting a wide variety of pies but there were sadly only 4 to choose from. It was certainly good to try once, but I am not sure if I will make the trek back. read more

Super cute little Shop on the corner - we saw the sign "Pie Bar" and had to turn around the car to find out about it. Daily selections were delicious -fruit pies, savory and sweet options too. Lemon chess was simply fantastic. Beef and caramalized onion hand pies, fresh cookies, tea, coffee. Even the coffee mugs were perfectly waiting and curve in the palm of your hand. Menu showed homemade soups with bread, and quiche, though we didn't try them. Downside is there are only 2 parking spots, and one is for pick up customers. Seems most people eat and go quickly since it's a small meal or dessert, so there must be good turnover for parking. Park half a block away and walk - worth your energy. read more

I had the coconut lime pie. It was pretty good. The only thing that would keep me from going back, is the price. Almost $7 dollars for a smallish piece of pie and coffee. While it was tasty, the people were super nice, and it was a nice place inside... I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again at that price. read more

Pies are small for price. I haven't been impressed with any of their fruit pies, but thoroughly enjoyed their salted chocolate and key lime. The blueberry was running with too much cinnamon. Their apple crumb had way too much crumb...and it was more like a serving of granola on top rather than a true crumb. It wasn't bad, just not a traditional apple pie which is what I would rather, yet haven't had the opportunity to try theirs yet. Not sure they make one? read more

The pie bar left me disappointed and hungry! After trying to get pie on 4 different occasions in which they were sold out, I was finally able to get a piece of the pie. I waited in line for an absorbent amount of time while the gentlemen serving took his time chatting extensively with every customer. When I got to the front of the line there was one slice of chocolate pie left and after paying $5 for it, I walked out with the tiniest piece of pie I have ever seen. despite the size and wait I was excited to dig into my teeny tiny slice hoping for rich in flavor but just found it was rich in price. I wanted so bad for it to taste so good but all in all I was disappointed with this place from a business sand taste standpoint. read more

Ok I haven't actually been to Pie Bar, but my husband brought home a slice of their apple pie and chocolate pie. They are absolutely delicious!!!! He did say the place was very crowded, but not to the point where he couldn't tolerate the wait (this was 2:45 on a Tuesday afternoon). The only issue I had, as the previous reviewer mentioned, is that the slices really are teeny-tiny and for over $4, I probably won't go there all that much. For just a couple bucks more I can make a fantastic pie at home. But I'm happy that they're doing well upon opening. Time will tell how much of a sustained following there'll be. read more

Some friends came over for dinner recently and were kind enough to bring a maple cream pie from the Pie Bar for dessert. I had been meaning to check out the Pie Bar myself but had never gotten around to it, so I was looking forward to finally getting a chance to sample its wares. Sorry to say, the pie wasn't as good as I expected. The filling, a layer of a rich, maple-flavored pastry cream topped by a drift of lightly sweetened whipped cream, was fine. The crust, however, was surprisingly bad. Although it had a decent flavor, it was overly thick and hard as a rock -- so hard it was difficult to cut with a fork. Flaky it was not. Inexperienced pie bakers often have trouble with the crust, and this struck me as a pie made by a novice -- maybe a new employee or an apprentice? I think the Pie Bar needs better quality control. read more
