    Beef & Guiness hand pie

Pros: -Absolutely adorable exterior & interior vibe -outdoor seating -quick service -sweet and savory options I wished there was a chocolate pie option, but there were some other chocolate sweets available and I should have tried. The hand pie we tried had a delicious buttery & flaky dough and I think I preferred it to the apple pie. If I were back in the area I'd try another hand pie and one of the chocolate offerings!

I'm knocking one star off because I went at noon on a Wednesday and was told "we are completely out of pie ". This is not the first time it has happened. Which I suppose is a good thing. Their pie is in high demand. But it's a bummer when you get there and there is no pie to be had. Aside from that, they did have some delicious lunch options, including some pastries - so I had my fill. The place is impeccably clean. Including the bathroom. They have a very cute outside area that is quite spacious. It's a lovely and quite charming place that you should visit if you haven't been before or even if you have! There were plenty of friendly staff working and food was served quickly.

As a connoisseur of all types of pie, I eagerly awaited the chance to have a slice from the Florence Pie Bar. Was immediately disappointed that there was only takeout. On a hot summer day I did not picture having to eat my pie outside. Also- there were only three types of pie to choose from. I would've expected a place that calls them self a " pie bar" would have more than three choices??? I selected the cherry pie which was okay. Above average, but at $ 4.75 for a small-sized slice a disappointment. Not terrible, but not what I expected.

OMG PIE! We were exploring the area during this incredibly cold weekend and as we drove by, I proclaimed "oh my god a PIE BAR... I want pie!". So we found the safest corner to turn around, parked on a side street and briskly walked (no ran) to get delicious coffee and pie. The chocolate mint was to-die-for good. My french press coffee for-one was perfection. The warm-hearted local that shared her table with us made us feel all the more welcomed. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and I swear I experience cafe ecstasy on one of the last days of 2017. Go here. Do it. If you like quaint and tasty and PIE (and seriously, who doesn't love pie??) then this is the place for you. And me. Me me me. I'd buy a house in this neighborhood just to be near the Pie Bar. (Okay maybe not, but it was amazing!)

Cute little spot in Florence. Yummy sweet and savory pie options. They also have coffee, cider, and teas.

When we went in for a tasting, we had lunch first. The Bbq pork sandwich was one the best sandwiches I've ever had. We also got a tuna melt and a quiche which were both delicious. When Daisy came out with the cupcakes for us to try they were so helpful and I felt so confident that they would make everything run smoothly for delivery and set up at my venue. The cupcakes were beyond any expectation. The lavender cake was delicious, better than any other floral cake I've ever had. My fiancé who is a frosting critic couldn't get enough. I've tried a few other bakeries in the area and this cake blew them away. We are going back tomorrow to pick up more pastries to bring home. While the place itself is small, the staff was incredibly welcoming and it was a very comfortable lunch. Thank you Small Oven!!

The bread itself is average to above average depending on the loaf of the day. But its consistently troubling issue is the large amount of flour caked on and baked on the outside of the loaves. They use an extreme amount of flour on the raw dough as a release from their baking baskets, and after the bake they just leave it all stuck to the loaf. When I bring a loaf home I often spend a few minutes smacking it and scraping it over the sink where I dislodge so much raw flour from the outside of the bread. Sometimes there's a rind of undercooked flour cemented to the outside of the loaf. This is wildly unacceptable.

Took forever to take our drink order. After those finally came we tried to order dinner and they were out of a few things we wanted. That was annoying. We finally ordered and never saw our waiter again. My friend finally went to the bar herself to order us more drinks. Food took a long time to arrive. 3 people ordered the salmon. One was maybe a 6 ounce piece and one was about 3 ounces. The person who ordered it to be added to their risotto probs got 8 ounces. This was very frustrating. I'm sure they have an amount that they are suppose to serve. Food was bland and nothing special. Atmosphere is nice but I don't think I'd hurry back. Do better!

That dish is the whole reason that Yelp even exists. We just popped in for a tide-me-over bite with a late dinner planned later that evening. First impression of the space was that physically, it was a bit disjointed. You enter from the hotel lobby, and there are a few tables on either side of a transitional passageway area which is transected by access to stairways to the downstairs bar area to the left and stairs to the Wiggins Tavern on the right. At the bottom of the stairs to the bar, the bar is sort of tucked over to your left -which feels a bit odd, but whatever... once you settle in there, the service is friendly and the space is quite comfortable. As we sat at the bar, we thought it would be a great cozy spot to drab a bite while Christmas shopping on a snowy evening... We tried the French onion soup and the shrimp appetizer. The soup was fine, but the shrimp was a superstar... snappy texture... nice light ocean flavor (but not the chemical saltiness you sometimes get)... and spiced wonderfully, with a savory paprika like taste with a little spice. The sauce comes off more like the liquid from braised short ribs but with nice chunks of sweet peppers or sun dried tomatoes... the croutons were more bready BTW... perfect with the sauce! In what turned out to be a great two day trip to Northampton-which turned out to be a fantastic food town (we also ate at Homestead, Toasted, and Wiggins Tavern), this shrimp dish might have been the best single dish I had.
