"Half-baked cookies in the oven Half-baked people on the…read morebus" (Jimmy Buffet) Wandering around Shelburne Falls, we decided to stop somewhere for a coffee or a snack. We ended up finding both at Baked. When we walked in, we saw a few big bakery cases filled with pastries, muffins, and all sorts of baked goods. A little further into the space, we saw a reception stand for their full service, sit-down restaurant. We just wanted a beverage and a bakery treat, so that meant we couldn't sit in the restaurant, but luckily, we grabbed the only table in front of the bakery cases. It was quite a chore narrowing down our order from their many drinks and baked goods, but eventually we decided on a Cold Vanilla Blueberry Latte ($6), a Hot Banana Bread Latte ($5), a Macaroon ($3.75), and an Orange Cranberry Scone ($4). The cold latte and scone were mine and I enjoyed both a lot. The latte had great blueberry flavor and the scone was fantastic. We shared the baked treats, and the macaroon was great too, with plenty of chocolate chips, and a freshly made gooey consistency. We both noted how fresh everything was. All in all, their quality, prices and value were excellent. Well done, Baked... we loved our visit.

Never had a rye waffle before, but it was very flavorful and had great texture. Salad (6.5/10): Salad tasted fresh. Felt like it was missing something in terms of taste, but not bad at all. I liked the addition of the chive flowers. House Soda (8/10): Strawberry buttermilk. Tasted fantastic! Service was great. Bakery was sold out by 1pm on Sunday. Menu is short and simple.

Between the apple cider rye waffle with a luxurious smear of butter topped with flaky salt and real maple syrup close at hand, fresh and flavorful sausage patty, and home fries topped with their green jalapeño hot sauce, I ended my meal satisfied. Good quality ingredients shine, and the waffle and sausage in particular were a testament to that. My partner gave the brewed coffee a thumbs up as well. Parking was at capacity when we arrived around 11am on a Sunday but it wasn't long before a spot opened up. Once inside, we were able to be seated right away. The mood was chill and staff working both capable and laid back. There wasn't any rush and plenty of space to soak up the morning. The artwork in the bathroom and predominantly native plantings along the rear parking strip, which were replete with visiting butterflies were icing on the cake.

After reviewing their large menu, you order at the counter. Everything is made fresh to order. There is also a wonderful selection of fresh pastry tempting you at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We ordered the primal bowl, maple bacon burrito and a raspberry lemon blondie. Everything was so fresh and delicious! You are expected to bus your own table, which we did not mind. Overall, prices were fair, maybe a little higher than one would expect for a burrito but their slightly higher prices allow them to pay staff a living wage rather than waitress wage. Because of this, they are a 'tip free' establishment. However, if you choose to do so, it goes to a community meal fund for locals which I think really sets them apart! Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area!

It's based on service/quality and is EARNED.. every place that I've gone where gratuity is automatically added The service has been terrible however, when I've eaten that places where that doesn't happen, service is great because people know they have to work for their tips. I walked in a little after they opened. Nobody was there in terms of customers... I wasn't greeted. I sat at the counter. The staff continued to just chat. I felt like the staff had no interest in having a customer. I had to go over get a menu. I was looking at it. They looked at me as I was reading said menu never offering a coffee nothing I waited about 10 minutes and then I walked out put the menu back and said I gotta go. I consider myself very knowledgeable about the restaurant industry as my family has been in it for over 50 years and I have worked in it for 30 years
