Is happy hour in the bar only or can you get the specials when dining as well?

    Are reservations needed?

No, they aren't "needed." I've gone before as a walk-in- But always better to have reservations ! You can make them on the Open Table app.

    Are they pet friendly here?

Yes but for outdoor dining only.

    Is the to-go packaging sustainable?

Yes, the majority of our to go containers, including utensils and bags, are certified compostable. We only use plastic containers on certain items, such as for very hot items or soup.

    Is there Mariachi during dinner?

    No unfortunately...

Where is the outdoor seating and can I bring my dog there?

There is a small outdoor patio and while we were dining inside we watched several people carry small dogs in or out of the patio. Don't know the policy regarding larger dogs as the patio entrance is through the dining area.

Do they have food to go?

Yes! And it's awesome to go as well.

The Niçoise salad is a beautiful and unexpected salad with a fusion of chimichurri, traditional flavors, delicious salmon, and deliciously cooked fingerling style potatoes. This salad was worth the trip and we'd return just for this! It was such an interesting and delicious fusion! We also had the fish and chips which was traditionally prepared with a side of delicious fries. The fries were not really British style of chips but a signature style for the restaurant which was very nice. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. The side of slaw was light, refreshing, and delicious on a bed of lettuce. Exactly what you'd want with the heavier fried fish. There are a few things that hold this place back and may ultimately seal its fate in closure. They have nothing to do with the food or service which was very good as noted above. This review if 5 yelp stars for good reason. But, if Bazille wants to survive and thrive it may want to consider some modifications in concert with the Nordstrom store itself. This isn't really about the prices. They were not out of line for local dining of similar far. However, in a department store setting you want the dining experience to be a loss leader / lead magnet to get shoppers in and keep them longer. And, inside there should be SOME link to the store. Why did no one offer to help me find the purse my wife was shopping for that day? Why was there not a thank you coupon for dining good only for this visit (kind of like parking validation but for shopping). We were not offered a coffee or tea. For the fee this would cost nearly nothing an make the upscale Nordstrom experience, which we LOVE, all the better. The franchise is leaving a lot off the table here and there's no reason economically. Why are the sales people on the floor not offering a free desert to try out the restaurant? I think you get my point by now. The experience is disconnected from the Nordstrom experience. Much more can be done. The experience, and it is meant to be an experience like the Nordstrom experience. It does fall a little short there. Look at Restoration Hardware's efforts. You literally sit in their furniture which you could purchase on the spot if you wanted; for example. You dine on their dishes... etc. Back to the prices. I could go to any restaurant nearby for similar prices and fare. So, subsidizing with accoutrements or just money would fill the seats. The place is nice. The staff is nice. It's just bolted on the side as an after thought and that may be its undoing over time. That would be a shame because the intent is clearly something more.

She was super accommodating and attentive without being overbearing. Once we told her what we liked, she immediately knew what to recommend and guided us through the menu perfectly. You can tell she knows her stuff. We came specifically for happy hour (we're definitely HH aficionados) and made it our mission to try everything on the menu. While the chips & dip were good, they're something you can find elsewhere, so not necessarily a standout. Everything else, though? OUTSTANDING! The hummus, whipped feta, and muhamarra were next-level--easily some of the best we've had. The CN burger sliders were also a hit--we had one each and they were so yummy that next time my husband is already planning on getting two. The drinks were on point. The espresso martinis absolutely fueled our afternoon in the best way, and we also tried the creamsicle cocktail and the shrimp Za'atar from the regular menu--both were super delicious in their own way. The ambiance was great, and the bartender was clearly on top of things, which always adds to the overall vibe. One thing worth noting: happy hour is now only offered Monday-Thursday, but Sydney was kind enough to honor it for us on Saturday since the website hadn't been updated yet. That level of service really sealed the deal for us. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish--great food, great drinks, and even better service. Easy five stars.

Lately, visits have been less successful. Bigger crowds and service snafus have impacted the experience. I love the success they are having, but a recent visit was so crowded, we had to involve the host just to find our waitress when some of our food didn't arrive. She never returned to check on us. It was a weekend, loud and full to capacity and we had fallen off her radar for over half an hour. It seems with the success, Corner Bar may be at a crossroads: deciding whether to focus on the high energy and crowds or on the great service and positive experiences that keep customers coming back.

While a few of the dishes we had heard about were gone from the menu (Mina specialties) they had a solid listing of staples and I understand they're working on formally relaunching the restaurant with a bunch of new dishes. The vibe is great (5Star) - good seating with each table having something fun to look at, be it the bar or the ocean, and the music was groovy for lack of a better word. Food was 4 stars but the steak, tipped me back into 5 star category. We had the spicy tuna roll which appeased our sushi desire, the Caesar salad for some greens, and the Delmonico Ribeye with carrots. The steak was phenomenal and I paired it with a Vesper Martini which was mixed expertly. Looking forward to coming back and seeing what the new owners do on the relaunch.

This was a nice way to spend a few hours. The space is neat. It's as small, somewhat dark ambiance with the windows blacked out. So, you do loose your sense of time a bit inside. That's actually nice as it feels like you went somewhere/somewhen else for a while. We had a Manhattan and a Kentucky Mule, and, additionally, we had three different shareable appetizers. First thought, we ordered and devoured a really exceptional cheese plate. I know cheese plates seem a little meh sometimes, but this was really good! I would absolutely order it again. In fact, I would definitely go there just to have the cheese plate again with a drink, a glass of wine. We also had the three tacos shareable. There were three tacos that were stunningly good. Lastly a dish with some little steak medallions and a shrimp. Each of these was about two bites and the flavor and texture was excellent. All three of the shareables and the drinks were exceptional. I have to call out that, with the cheese board, came a little loaf of bread. That bread was really good all on its own. I would definitely want to eat it. I can still taste it. It was really good, but my wife, she's gluten intolerant. They offered, because she couldn't eat the bread, they offered to also bring her out some gluten-free crackers, so she got to enjoy the cheese board just the same without the bread. They gave her the crackers, and do you know, they just gave her those extra. They didn't ask for something more. They didn't do anything. They just took care of her. I really appreciate that. I have to also give a shout out to the Jessica. I don't know how she did it, but she was taking care of the whole room of tables I think. Nice. We ordred all three shareables at the same time and she thoughtfully said, 'do you mind if I course these out for you?' We said yes and she did. I don't think anybody felt like they didn't have everything they needed, so a shout out to you, Jessica, really well done. We're grateful for the service and the high quality dining experience that you gave us on a moment's notice. I hope we can visit again soon. And, especially we want to check out The Boardroom soon. NOTE: This is in a kind of older looking strip mall. Don't be concerned about that at all! It threw us off a little at first and we did wonder when we pulled in though if we were in the right place. Happily, we were!

It's inside a mall, and I did not see any directories to point the way. Once we found it and sat down, I noticed the sign telling us to scan the QR code on the table to order. Honestly, that almost sent me right back out the door. I wanted an actual menu, not a tiny phone screen with lots of scrolling and submenus, especially since I had questions about the food. The atmosphere felt a bit impersonal at first, mostly because of the mall setting and the QR-code ordering system, but the friendly staff helped make it feel much more comfortable once we got settled. The two people working the front were both very pleasant, answered my questions, and made the whole experience feel much more welcoming. They had a decent IPA selection and a variety of bar foods (pizza, wings, appetizers). We ordered the arancini, fried cauliflower, and a pizza. The fried cauliflower was the surprise hit for me, especially with the garlic aioli. The arancini and pizza were also very good. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.
