There are SO many many mexican places, how do you know which one is good? Well, we stumbled onto Mi Pueblo because it was on the way to where we were going and we are glad we came. First off, they have a full bar, and happy menu, so check that out. I got their macho burrito, which we had to ask what it was first. They said it had everything in it, so we said ok let's try. It ended up being a very Mexican-American burrito, which at first doesn't sound good and authentic, but they use fresh ingredients with all the correct mexican blends, which makes it taste more american but authentic at the same time. It's hard to explain. Imagine a wet burrito but with a bit more onions and cilantro. It was hearty, authentic and delicious. Their chips were also on point. Service was so friendly. read more

Mi Pueblo= Mi Stupido I ate there last night n had a young waiter wait on me who was apparently " brain dead" n had no common sense. I asked that he bring nuttier for my fajitas but he forgot . I had to have them reheated because they were cold when I got them. I got across the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, I made a decision to get off the freeway and hang out at the Northgate Mall. I was hungry and looking for a place to stop and eat. I frequent this location for lunch and they have quick take-out service as well as sit-down. You can order take-out online through their website or over the phone and it usually takes 10-20 minutes for your order to be ready. They have ample indoor seating and a dog friendly outdoor patio as well. They are always busy during lunch and dinner times. The service is always quick, I am able to sit down and eat my lunch in under 30 minutes. The prices are reasonable, the staff are all very friendly, and the food is always delicious. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so baffling that I feel obligated to. I stopped by to pick up a to-go order for a chorizo breakfast burrito and a fountain drink. I paid in full at the front kiosk, then filled my drink while waiting. A server later told me I needed to pay for the drink. I explained that I already had and even offered to show the receipt, but she looked at me like I was trying to get away with something. The whole interaction was awkward and left me feeling unwelcome. I could have overlooked the confusion and poor service if the food made up for it, but it didn't. The burrito was bland, greasy, and completely forgettable. Between the uncomfortable service and disappointing food, I will not be coming back. Mi Pueblo in Terra Linda does not have the meatball soup, so we ordered the tortilla soup instead. It had no flavor. They forgot to give us our side order of rice too. So I just found out that Mi Pueblo had a restaurant in the Northgate Plaza. I'm not a big mall person so dont bash me too hard lol. I've been missing out! I like this restaurant a LOT better than the downtown Novato location as it's easier to move around, it's got a full bar (Yeah!) and of course, the food is amazing. One thing that's really cool is that they have a fully stocked salsa bar. Many lesser restaurants have done away with any type of salsa bar due to the current climate. Well Mi Pueblo isn't having any of that and they're serving ALL their delicious salsa's!!! Be careful of the Orange Hot one. I love spicy food but you gotta give that one some respect lol. I got a taco salad when I went last and my wife got the Chicken Tortilla soup. I loved my Taco Salad but the soup was awesome! This is the Super Burrito de asada. Looks like dog food i can't tell what's beans and what's meat. When I do taste meat it's burnt to a crisp. About 3 months ago this place was a hit. Pricey but was okay with it since it was one of the few authentic Mexican restaurants in Marin. I don't know if it's because the mall is closing that they are being so cheap. Also would try this place only for dinner as I've heard the original cook from the san Anselmo location works at those times and there is a difference in quality.
