    Ceviche

Love the ceviche here - great portion and the freshness is unmatched. Everyone at my table was jealous of my order! Appetizer size is enough to share or very filling as a main. Nachos and the burrito bowl were also solid choices. Their carnitas are really flavorful and not dry.

Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant is a solid pick for Mexican food when you're shopping at or around Northgate. It's fast-paced, casual, and the staff is really nice and welcoming, which goes a long way. The complimentary chips and salsa were particularly good and set a strong first impression. I ordered a chicken enchilada and a crunchy steak taco with pinto rice and beans. The enchilada was the better of the two--flavorful and satisfying--while the taco shell seemed a little stale and the meat in both dishes was on the dry side. Good, but not standout. My lady had the chicken fajitas, which were tasty, and the accompaniments were solid as well. It was also nice to see the menu recently revamped with options like burrito bowls and tofu, which adds some variety. Overall, it's a dependable place to eat when you're in the area. Not the best Mexican food around, but it definitely gets the job done--and it's a much better choice than the Chipotle a few doors away.

    Wet macho burrito

There are SO many many mexican places, how do you know which one is good? Well, we stumbled onto Mi Pueblo because it was on the way to where we were going and we are glad we came. First off, they have a full bar, and happy menu, so check that out. I got their macho burrito, which we had to ask what it was first. They said it had everything in it, so we said ok let's try. It ended up being a very Mexican-American burrito, which at first doesn't sound good and authentic, but they use fresh ingredients with all the correct mexican blends, which makes it taste more american but authentic at the same time. It's hard to explain. Imagine a wet burrito but with a bit more onions and cilantro. It was hearty, authentic and delicious. Their chips were also on point. Service was so friendly.

I am just going to say Mango Habenaro Margarita is keyword for delicious. Not overly sweet or think...blended well with Light spice. Nice Service was nice Friendly [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean space and smelled like some seasoned good evening through I didn't eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Mole burrito

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a full bar with a happy hour and daily wine specials. I have only had the mole burrito. It wasn't anything special. The mole was tasty. The burrito lacked flavor. The salas were rellay good. Would go back and try more items

Chicken Enchilada with whole beans & rice!

It was a Friday evening coming from my mom's house, the traffic home was heavy. I got across the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, I made a decision to get off the freeway and hang out at the Northgate Mall. I was hungry and looking for a place to stop and eat. Mi Pueblo is one of favorite Mexican restaurants in Rohnert Park. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice and whole beans. I requested for it to be packed to go, I wanted to dig in a little before my departure with the tortilla chips. This really hit the spot, timing is everything.

Street tacos, side of rice and beans and a regular burrito

I've been here a few times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an "everything" cafe here - bar with TV's for sports (no hard alcohol so they use Korean soju for margaritas), tables inside and out and quick service including takeout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This trip I had their Happy Hour street tacos 3/$7.99 (or close to that). Carnitas were decent, bartender attentive and my friend's burrito was huge! Her complaint was that the carne asada was overpowered by the beans though I had her leftover and they were all right. I also had a side of rice and beans which were full plates too. Maybe a kids order next time? My neighbor's nachos looked pretty fantastic so I'll go that direction next. I've had a "Bowl-ritto" before which was enough for two meals and pretty good. Conclusion? A solid Mexican restaurant, nicer than a taqueria. I'll be back.

I like this location the best of all Mi Pueblo restaurants and probably visit a couple times a month. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Easy freeway access, lots of parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and most of all the food is consistent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came in for a no meat tostada which was delicious and satisfying. Chips and salsa are always fresh, and service is great. What's not to love?

We had a reservation for Father's Day and waited about 10 minutes for a table to open, as it was the busiest I have seen. The table was nice, big enough for the five of us, and the ambiance is always great here as well. We were quickly greeted by our server, Eli, who provided chips and salsas to whet our appetites, and we soon narrowed our focus to the food and drink menus. We ultimately decided on some El Jefe Tacos, a shrimp and crab enchilada, a three-item combo with two chile rellenos and a cheese enchilada with green sauce, a carne asada taco, and the volcanic Molcajete (served in a warm stone bowl with grilled steak, chicken, and prawns. Covered with a red chile, roasted tomato sauce). For libations, we went with a mojito and a new drink - for us at least - the pineapple mezcal mule! The food came in a timely manner, and the molcajete was still bubbling! Hence, the volcano nickname! The mojito was very minty and refreshing, and the pineapple mezcal mule was an acquired taste for some of the group - I enjoyed the smoky earthiness of the mezcal, but it's not your run-of-the-mill tequila, so if you are new to mezcal, be aware of the difference. The food last time was a bit spicy, but this time it was not an issue. Still spicy, but not to the point of being overpowering. Even the salsas were not as extreme. Good for some of us! All the food was delicious, and the three-item combo was great to look at as well. As we say, "the eyes eat first," and indeed my eyes were little piggies that meal! Overall, the service was great, the food great, and the entertainment a perfect background for what would have been just a noisy bunch of chatter. Overall a great Father's Day lunch.

That said, I've been here twice and unfortunately had the same experience both times. The first visit, I ordered a regular chicken burrito, and it was pretty bland. I figured it might have just been an off day, so I gave them another try and ordered a super burrito the second time. Sadly, it was also bland--even with sour cream and guacamole, which I didn't really see or taste. Their burritos are long but not very thick, and flavor-wise they just didn't hit for me. I was hoping for something more seasoned and bold. I truly hope this is taken as constructive feedback, because I do want local spots like this to succeed. The service is good, and the people are kind--it's just the food that needs more flavor. Unfortunately, based on my experiences, I can't recommend it and probably won't be returning, but I wish them the best and hope they continue improving.

This spot seems more of a tequila bar that serves food rather than a restaurant setting. For food, we ordered the fish tacos, shrimp ceviche and taquitos. Their fish tacos were good!
