This is an overdue review. Last year, when we purchased a 60+ year-old house, they handled the entire 2000Sqft house rewiring, installed a new subpanel, and completed a tremendous amount of electrical work. In less than a month, all four of my library lights died, along with an outdoor light, and I also wanted to replace the lighting in my kitchen and dining area. Flores Electric was recommended to me by someone I trust so I gave them a call. I was glad I did. Before any work was done they sent one of their project managers to my home to see at first-hand the problem and what could be done. I advised I was not looking for repairs, but replacements and upgrade. We did a tour of the work and he made some suggestions for improvements that I hadn't thought of. Later, he forwarded links to various sites where I could look for the kind of fixtures I wanted in the kitchen and dining room. The fixtures came in, and the day arrived. The project manager and two crew arrived promptly and set to work. Ordinarily, I could spend hours watching other people work but I stayed out of the way and a good thing too: when work like this is done there does tend to be a mess. But it was worth it: when the lights were in and all was fixed I couldn't be happier. What I got was just what I wanted, hand's down. They did really good work and when they were done, they carefully cleaned up everything, like it never happened. We wanted to install an EV charging station, and Flores Electric quickly came out, assessed the (electrical) situation, and provided quotes for the next steps. They were competitive with other quotes we had obtained, but Rio stood out with how thoroughly he explained the work and answered questions. His quotes contain all the details too in case you forget after you've talked! They got the work done in a few days, and it took another month or so to get the permit. We recently had some issues with the EV charger tripping the breaker. Liz scheduled Rio to come back out within 48 hours, and he quickly came up with several hypotheses for what might be happening. Flores Electric gave us superb service in addressing several lighting issues in our house, including problem-solving circuitry problems, installing new light fixtures and installing new home security devices (doorbell camera and outdoor spotlight/ floodlights). They went above and beyond in the customer service, thoroughness and professionalism. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they stuck with their bid, even though the work took a little longer than they expected. They even comped small additions to the job. Part of the reason the job took a little longer than expected was because of the great care Anthony Jackson gave in explaining all of our options to us, making recommendations, personally finishing up on small leftover details (even on his weekend), and very patiently explaining how to operate the remote apps for the new security system. He was also very sensitive to our budget, recommending equipment that we could purchase ourselves at a discount compared to having the company provide them. Remarkably, he even went to Home Depot with us to help us select the equipment we wanted that would fit our budget and that would fit our specific electrical circuits. My project was to install recessed lighting in all rooms of my home - sizable project so I obtained three quotes. It was easy to schedule an initial visit, Rio stopped by as scheduled. His estimate was in the ball park of other estimates, and he spent lot of time during the visit to understand my preferences, make suggestions and answer all of my questions. We got quick service on two visits. The first time, I had a couple 20-amp lines installed for a sump and dehumidifier, but I chose the wrong location. Very rushed install of a new service panel. Instead of installing what was spec'd out they rushed through everything, cutting corners, trying to do everything as quickly and cheaply as possible. Didn't install the GFCI breakers that were listed as part of the job, first saying they would be too expensive (even though that's what was quoted), then saying none could be installed because of a shared neutral (they're not all shared). Installed tandem breakers instead of individual breakers for no reason, other than to be cheap I suppose... It's a new 200A panel with plenty of free spaces. Drilled multiple holes through my exterior wall without checking to see if it was in the correct location first, and then didn't bother to patch the hole in the wrong location. Put a nice gouge in the front of the brand new panel door, so that will probably rust. Made a mess of my yard with stucco residue everywhere, including my own ladder, which they used. Then they apparently ran out of stucco finish coat so half of the patch was white and matched my existing stucco, and half was grey. Didn't bother to try and match the grit of the existing stucco. Roofing where the new overhead goes in is also not professionally patched, with just some roofing cement slapped on there instead of flashing or shingles. read more

I had an electrical problem, breakers in my panel tripping almost daily, that was looked at by two other firms. Their estimates came in at around $7300-$8200 to replace an electrical panel and connect it to a subpanel. I may have agreed to this because I did not really understand the what and why of what they were offering. Then Rio from Flores Electric came and examined the problem. He diagnosed it as way too sensitive of AFCP breakers in my subpanel. He offered an alternative that he thought would work. It cost about $2700 and I have not had a breaker trip for over a month.
