Came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty easy, in and out. I only had about 1 trash bag full of plastic bottles, 2 grocery bags of cans, and 2 glass bottles. The lady took my bags and weighed them, so no need for getting dirty that some people have mentioned in reviews of other places. I've been saving these containers for 5 months and I made $2.80! haha Oh well, I don't drink out of those types of bottles very often. read more

First time I came here and the gentleman was so nice. He explained what he could accept and what he couldn't. I was surprised he could accept laundry bottles. We will for sure he back and think everyone should at least return bottles or donate them to be returned. read more

I GIVE FLORES RECYCLING 5 STARS... ...When I went for the first time, I was greeted at my vehicle with recycling baskets in hand, I didn't have to go get them, he asked me if I would like some assistance with transferring my recycles into the baskets, so I gladly accepted. He was very "Customer Savvy". I take "customer service" very serious, because I don't like to be treated like I'm bothering the workers, like at the Allen Recycling center, they are very rude, and they have stupid rules. Every person working at Flores Recycling is down to earth, very nice and very professional. They know how to treat their customers...I felt very comfortable with them and they pay really good for your recycles. Keep up the good professionalism, I felt like we had all been friends for years. I will never go to this recycling center again after an overweight employee followed me to my car as I was leaving and asked what my name was which was none of his business since I already completed my transaction with another employee. I asked him why and he said I look like this other girl who was a stripper and would come in with her kid. This to me is not the way an employee should speak to a customer it's inappropriate, unprofessional, and sounds like sexual harassment. read more

My husband and I have gone here a few times and have noticed that they do tend to scam you out of money. For example, removing glass bottles that are in question, talking about them, taking the weight while talking about them, then putting them back in there but not remeasuring the weight. Also had it happen once where the kid there took the weight, said it out loud, and the mother (?) repeated it back, but a much lower number. So! Screw it! We got to the Vermont/Hollywood place now. The good thing about Flores is they have a sorter machine which speeds things up a bit, and a sink for washing sticky Trader Joe's juice off your hands..! Still though, I'd go elsewhere. :-/ Honesty is the best policy. read more

I will not support a company that participates in animal cruelty. The facilities' animals have not been fed in a week and doubtful there is water behind those gates. Speaking of those gates, the owner has the gates propped up just enough so that the dogs head can stick out underneath. I witnessed the dogs head get stuck in between the gate and the ground causing this dog to choke. I am also spoken with a number of neighboring people in the area who feel the same way & this should NOT be tolerated anymore! read more

Flores Recycling seems like a good and straightforward place -- I've never had a problem with them. The facility isn't pristine, but I think that's natural for a recycling place. Sometimes it gets busy at the end of the day and you have to wait for a few minutes to do your recycling. I think that on weekdays this summer the place closes at 4pm, not 5pm as it says on Yelp. read more

This is quite a dirty and gross establishment and the guy in charge is a little rough around the edges but some of the other employees are really nice and helpful, they have helped me sort bottles and glass and cans before and have even showed me some tricks with sorting that make you not have to bend down too much. Overall they get you and out super quick and I think are reasonable with how much money they give you, just be prepared for interactions with a lot of homeless people, rude people and be prepared to get a little dirty. Also their are certain colored bins for Plastic/Cans and certain colored bins for glass. Make sure you divide the types of plastic and glass if you have a lot. read more

Refused to take 50 bottles (clean and in 6 pk. carriers) after previous load of bottles weighed and paid. He told me I can bring up to 50 count and the rest needs to be weighed. I did what he said and he told me to leave, come back tomorrow. This is my first time using a recycling center and I needed a little info. on what to do. Flores was very rood and kicked me out! I also had to separate clear and brown class. I went to another recycling center and they paid me and were happy to weigh/count additional loads and thanked me for my business. I would not recommend Flores Recycling (2517 W Sunset Blvd., Echo Park) to anyone. read more

The recycling place is very convenient, lots of parking and friendly overall. The service was pretty quick despite the long line it has at times. Usually i make $15-20 because of the variety of materials i bring in but i never have issues with their service. Some people bring in a little and expect to make $10,000 i guess lol! but i recycle to help the environment. I recommend this place very strongly. I am filipina and see lots of asians comming into the place. They treat the asian community very well i must say. read more

For a green community like Silverlake (i think), it was so darn hard to find a recycle center! Keep your eyes peeled because you will miss this joint on your first try on this busy Sunset Blvd. It's in the same lot as the Circle H Markets and Liquor. Needless to say, this adventure happened on a lonely Saturday around 3pm when the pad was just overcrowded by all the beer bottles and etc. No lines as someone just got done getting paid...time to cash out! The two men working were definitely friendly and explained clearly where each type of recyclable goes. I was hopping for enough cash to buy me another 6 pack or more after hauling over just about 60 beer bottles and etc. While scoping out the place reading various signs in spanish and english, I found a compensation chart. $0.106308 (or something similar) per pound for glass. Long story short.. I walked away with just under 5 bux for all the hard work downing those beers. I guess blue bin for me in the future... read more

This is where I take my CRV recycling. I used to go to the place at Vermont/Hollywood, but they pointed me down the road to Flores last year when they had to shut down early because they ran out of cash. Flores is always much quicker and cleaner so I remain a customer of Flores. read more
