It was pretty good price at $4.50 for two large pieces of pork floss cake. Taste is not bad, very light flavor. The cake itself is very light. Unfortunately, I think they really skimped on the pork floss and the cream/mayo filling on the inside. There's just not enough pork floss for the amount of cake. It's still good but nothing amazing where would I buy again.

It's been a year since my last review, and I think they improved the black sesame flavor. A full Swiss roll was $28 and so worth it. The durian cream puffs has a chunk of durian in it and the choux was crisp. Durian cream puffs sell out often. The chestnut mini cake is super cute, and honestly, it's hard to find chestnut flavored things here anymore. If I had to label this bakery anything, it would be the Chinese bakery that has all the nostalgic flavors with modern takes. Most Chinese bakeries by here don't do black sesame, durian or chestnut anymore. And this place does it well, and they're nice. NOTE: to order, they prefer WeChat. The texture reminded me of the amazing cakes I've had in China, and I haven't found anything like it here until now. Each of us purchased at least $30 worth of bread and pastries, and I also spent about $20 on desserts and drinks. Our total purchase was well over $100. After sitting in the bakery for about ten minutes, one of my friends still had half of her pastry left. Unfortunately, we had already thrown away our utensils. She politely asked an employee for a plastic fork so she could finish the pastry on the way home. The employee responded in a very unfriendly manner and said that forks are not provided for takeout orders. We explained that the pastry had originally been eaten in the bakery and was simply unfinished, and that we had all purchased a large amount of food to take home. Nevertheless, she refused to provide even a single fork. What disappointed us most was not the fork itself, but the attitude. After spending more than $100, it was surprising to be denied a simple plastic fork and treated with such inflexibility and lack of courtesy. We have always enjoyed Wheatfield Bakery's products, but customer service is just as important as good food. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and remind staff that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in a customer's experience. A plastic fork costs only a few cents, but good customer service is priceless. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unappreciated as customers. The pineapple bun was fresh so the texture of the bread was very good. BUT that's not the best part, the texture from the loaf of white bread and the loaf of potato bread was something that I don't think I've had before from this type of bread. I've eaten this growing up, but I don't think I've ever gotten this texture out of the bread. My father said it reminded him of a bread he ate at hotel in Guangzhou 20 years ago. If this bread can bring back a memory of my fathers from 20 years ago, you know its good.
