Even my acupuncturist that works with them said they used to care about patients and since they expanded the only care about money. I had an extremely frustrating experience with this fertility clinic, primarily due to their billing practices and lack of communication regarding insurance coverage. I underwent three IUIs and one medicated treatment cycle with this clinic. My first IUI cycle was covered by insurance without issue. However, for the subsequent cycles, the office began submitting diagnosis codes that did not align with my actual medical situation. As a result, my insurance denied coverage -- despite previously approving treatment. Even more concerning, required prior authorizations were not obtained when they should have been. This directly impacted my insurance coverage. Instead of correcting the issue or taking accountability, the clinic is now attempting to charge me self-pay rates for treatments that should have been covered. I am even being threatened with collections. Fertility treatment is already emotionally and financially overwhelming. Patients trust clinics not only with their health but also with proper insurance handling. Unfortunately, my experience felt more focused on revenue than patient advocacy or transparency. I strongly recommend that anyone considering treatment here double- and triple-check insurance authorizations themselves and document everything. I wish I had known to be more proactive. Very disappointing experience.

I will begin by saying that , I've been an off and on again patient with IVFMD since 2011. In…read more2024, I decided to return and start treatment with Dr. Woods. I've had several interactions with Dr. Wood throughout the years. I will say she's professional; however, her delivery is not always the best. Nonetheless, I prefer professionalism over delivery. Ultrasounds for Dr. Woods are conducted by techs or Nurses. Therefore, if you have any medical questions you want to ask during the procedure she won't be in the room. There is no real direct contact with Dr. Woods, unless it's during your consultation and after labs are conducted to discuss results and a treatment plan. I didn't complete the trratment with the practice so I can't say how the interactions are with Dr. Woods after that point. However, I believe it's sparse and few. You may see her only again on the day of retrieval. The exam rooms are not the cleanest. I've seen dust throughout. Appointment wait times at IVFMD are ridiculous. Be prepared for extended wait times to be seen. I've waited over 1 hour to be called once and I was on time for my appointment. The clinic prematurely demands payment for services. I didn't even have my medications or obtained approval from Progny to start treatment. Yet they requested payment for Zymot. I also had ultrasound and lab tests, I believed that could've been billed through Progny. When I questioned check out about it they said Progny only covers treatment and the services provided were not treatment. I later found out through Progny that the services would've been covered if they utilized the appropriate billing codes. Long story short, my primary health insurance covered the diagnostic testing I paid for. The clinic processed a refund that took 3 months for me to receive via check. If you paid with a debit/credit card or cash, they will not refund you via the same payment method you provided. On a good note, the practice does offer, monthly IVF raffles to help those in need which is a great thing. They are great at communicating with patients promptly. They can call you if you request with no problem. The IVF Coordinator I was assigned was great. In conclusion, if you're looking for a practice where you do not feel like you're just another number in a factory, want more personalized services, a clean facility, the best treatment plan based on your circumstances and advance onsite laboratory services; IVFMD may not be for you.

I had previously been a patient of Dr. Maxson and had known many of the staff at this practice for nearly twenty years, so I trusted the care I would receive. During my initial consultation, Dr. Gualtieri assured me he would help determine the cause of my pain and, if necessary, perform a laparoscopy. After my first endometrial biopsy, I was diagnosed with endometritis, which I appreciated because no previous physician had considered that diagnosis. However, when I asked how we could confirm the infection had resolved after antibiotics, Dr. Gualtieri told me a culture would be sufficient. Because this conflicted with what I had read, I contacted another fertility clinic. After consulting with Dr. Chamoun, their nurse explained that a biopsy--not a culture--is required to confirm endometritis. I ultimately underwent three additional biopsies, yet my pain never improved. Dr. Gualtieri also told me that my HSG showed my fallopian tubes were patent. This conflicted with what Dr. Maxson had documented after my prior laparoscopy, when he informed me my tubes were severely damaged and could not be repaired. After I shared this history, Dr. Gualtieri suggested my tubes had "healed" because I had been eating well. My current fertility specialist advised that this is not medically possible and that the HSG images were too blurry to interpret reliably. As a result, I underwent unnecessary radiation exposure and paid for a diagnostic test that ultimately could not be used. At one point during my care, Dr. Gualtieri called and attempted to refer me to another surgeon. He did not explain why he no longer intended to perform the laparoscopy he had originally agreed to if it became necessary. I was left confused because his recommendation conflicted with the assurances he had given me at my initial consultation. During my last physical, which included a pelvic examination, I felt body-shamed by Dr. Gualtieri's conduct. While examining me, he shook his head. I interpreted this gesture as disapproving or judgmental. He then asked whether I had given birth to two children, even though my medical history reflected that I had two prior vaginal deliveries. I found this interaction upsetting and felt it lacked sensitivity and professionalism during a vulnerable medical examination. My nurse, Courtney, was present during the examination. Before my final consultation, I repeatedly requested another appointment through the patient portal, but my messages went unanswered for approximately two months. Distressed by the lack of communication, I called the office and requested to speak with a manager. At my subsequent appointment, Dr. Gualtieri appeared distant, maintained little meaningful communication, and stated he did not feel proficient performing laparoscopies and therefore could not help me. As I was leaving, he remarked, "I'm not just going to kick you to the curb." Combined with his earlier comment describing me as "matronly," these interactions left me feeling uncomfortable, diminished, and uncertain about continuing my care. After that visit, I sent Dr. Gualtieri a certified letter asking whether he still wanted me as a patient. Approximately one month later, he called and told me, "We want to help you." Although I later had to cancel several appointments because of my declining health, I cancelled each one in advance in accordance with office policy. When I attempted to reschedule my final cancelled appointment, I was first told I could not be rescheduled and was later informed that I had been dismissed from the practice for multiple missed appointments. This explanation was inconsistent with my records documenting that I had cancelled in advance. After approximately two and a half years as Dr. Gualtieri's patient, I was deeply disappointed to be dismissed under circumstances that I believe did not accurately reflect my attendance record. During this time, Dr. Gualtieri was aware that I had developed significant health problems that affected my ability to travel to appointments, yet no one from the practice contacted me to discuss my situation or explore whether another provider within the practice could continue my care. Instead, I felt excluded from a practice where I had placed my trust for many years, leaving me with the impression that compassion and continuity of care had been replaced by indifference.

They were also so unprofessional as to throw away my blood sample without my authorization because they didn't get my payment at the end of the visit. Are things so bad they cannot process a $15 blood test and bill me for it later or run it through the insurance I had provided them 3, actually 4 times if you count the copy I gave them while making my appointment, oh make that 5 as my husband also gave him his insurance information. I knew CynthiaB from a studio I had attended regularly pre-Covid and was excited that she had opened SHINE ON YOGA but I didn't have the confidence (with my vulnerable bronchia) to attend. Flash forward three years and the body of this late-60's gal has clearly paid the price for not continuing a 10-year practice. I knew I HAD to get my joints moving again and to regain the sense of calm and rhythm that yoga can bring to one's life. I needed the nurturing of my yogi-sisters again. I started by attending some of the on-line/remote classes in the privacy of my own home. This was an excellent place to begin as I am very self conscience of the weight I've gained and my lack of flexibility. No one to see me struggle, no one to see my pudgy gut. There are many styles of yoga offered at ShineOn and I have chosen to attend those classes that are "Low & Slow" (my term) so that I don't strain this old body of mine. I am partial to the Restorative/Yin class offered on-line on Monday mornings and the Yin/Restorative flow on Thursdays, both lead by Cynthia. Both of those classes are ideal for anyone who wants to stretch those muscles and get those joints fluid, so I encourage anyone who is a little out of shape to start there. As I get stronger and more confident again, I'll start attending the 'flow' classes regularly too. Ashtanga, VInyasa and Kundalini classes are offered as well - and even some classes in Spanish! But meanwhile I'll cautiously build my practice with the gentle and nurturing "Low & Slow" classes at ShineOn. And as a result, I'll be better at practicing patience with myself too as I transition.

The first time I met Dr.Bridgewater I was nervous and unsure of what to expect but he explained to me that his number one goal was to make me feel safe assuring me that me and my baby's health was his first priority, right then and there a connection was made. I even ran into him one day at Costco. He asked me how I was feeling and doing, proving that he builds relationships with his patients and genuinely cares for the patient inside and outside the clinic. He is approachable but yet still professional, knowledgeable and confident in his skills. His passion for his work is what really takes him over the top. He goes above and beyond to make sure your health is in perfect condition! In my case he sent me various times to get blood work done just to make sure everything was just the way it is suppose to be if he noticed anything elevated or out of the normal range. His tendency to always double check is one of the qualities I appreciate the most. Most doctors would just dismiss if it's something insignificant but Dr.Bridgewater does not. What really put him over the top was my C-section experience. To most first time moms this experience could be overwhelming and painful filled with many doubts and questions but with his help I was able to fly through the healing process. He prescribed me the adequate amount of medication, gave me advice in how I should be feeling and when to discontinue use of the medicine. Lastly, I'm currently 6 weeks postpartum and I have almost no scar!!! Thank you Dr.Bridgewater for such an amazing experience during my pregnancy I will be a life long patient of yours!

I was referred to this office as a high risk twin pregnancy patient via my regular OBGYN. At first,…read moreI was very impressed as the staff seemed to be nice and attentive. After months of being seen by them (Since July 2023) I was not made aware by anyone that my insurance had a limit for sonograms during my pregnancy. The day of my follow up appointment, I was contacted by the receptionist and was told that I would have to pay out of pocket to be seen. Unfortunately, at this point I'm 7.5 months pregnant and am not working, therefore paying out of pocket was not an option for me. I contacted my health insurance and they told me that if the doctors office sent over an authorization, that they could cover the remaining sonogram costs. I communicated this to Signature and have basically been playing the middle man to get the authorization approved for 2 weeks. Originally, I was told by signature that they have had past issues with other patients in which Medicaid did not end up paying for the sonograms. I am an adult and I understand that they must get paid for their time and labor somehow, as I do not expect anything to be free... my main issue is that I could already tell that they would make it difficult for the authorization process to work with my insurance. I immediately felt a lack of care as a patient upon being told about the past issues with Medicaid patients. It has been over a month that I have received a sonogram or have been attended by signature, and while playing middle man with my insurance and their office to try to speed things up, I ask for them to do a "peer to peer" phone call with my insurance which is where the doctor verbally explains the situation to a nurse as to why the authorization is necessary for my high risk pregnancy so that it can be approved quicker. As this process can be a bit daunting and time consuming, Signature has been slowly giving up on me as a high risk patient and have finally advised me that they will no longer attempt to deal with my insurance or try to finalize the authorization process. Signature called me today and provided me with 2 other doctors office phone numbers for me to seek treatment elsewhere, instead of signature trying to help me figure out the insurance issue in order for me to continue being seen by them up until I'm 38 weeks pregnant (AGAIN, I am 31 weeks pregnant currently) I am literally 7 weeks away from giving birth to my twins, and Signature has just decided to no longer deal with me due to insurance issues and lacking communication with the insurance. As a mother, I would love to just pay out of pocket for my remaining sonograms, but the lack of empathy and understanding from this office has left me: 1. Worried for me and my babies health. 2. Frustrated at the fact that I'm 31 weeks and have to start from ground zero to find high risk care for my babies and self. 3. Saddened to not be able to confirm the health of my babies at this point in my pregnancy. 4. Feeling discarded as a mother/human by a provider who lacked attention for their patient of over 3 months. I understand that it is not the easiest type of situation to deal with when it comes to finances, but as a doctors office whom "values" their patients, I would've expected a little more enthusiasm on trying to work together as a team with the patient to figure out the insurance issue instead of just giving up on me and sending me elsewhere. I'm just truly disappointed in the outcome of my experience at Signature perinatal with Dr. Sasha Davidson. I truly thought that she would be more understanding and would have a little more patience and tolerance with a high risk pregnancy patient. I am extremely dissatisfied with their service. I am not even the type to leave reviews but at this point I feel as if they are playing with my babies lives and I just feel utterly downright disrespected. To those with Medicaid, I would advise to confirm your sonogram limit, if any, prior to being seen here. I would also try to seek out a doctors office who actually cares about health more than money... ‍

The office staff was pleasant, the wait times were decent and her attention to detail and my questions were on point. As my pregnancy went along, the office and visits with her deteriorated. The office seemed to get busier and busier and our visits seems shorter and shorter. She always burst in with an air of urgency. I get it, you're super busy and work in a very busy office. Even so, it never seemed like she had interest in the progression of my pregnancy or a complication that could have potentially caused a miscarriage. They began rotating me to other staff, most of which I found to have a better beside manner than her. I understand that whoever's on call will deliver your baby if your dr is a part of a practice...and that's exactly what happened to me. A Nurse Practitioner (Barbara Peluso) delivered my baby. That wouldn't have been an issue for me except for the fact that while I was pushing, I was told to stop for 30 mins to wait for her to arrive. Because of this, it caused my baby to be distressed. Her heart rate dropped, I spiked a fever and she passed meconium in my womb. She wound up being in the NICU for 5 days all because of a lack of urgency during my labor. Just to add insult to injury, instead of letting me know my insurance only covers a set number of prenatal visits, they didn't notify me and at a postpartum checkup told me I have a bill of almost $1000 that would need to be paid before I see the doctor. The first time I was ever told of unpaid visits. I can absolutely not recommend her or the practice she works in (at Memorial Regional West in Hollywood, FL.) Side note: they lost their malpractice license and made everyone sign a waiver stating that they aren't liable and patients can't sue for any reason. Not a good sign.
