So without a second opinion I agreed to a new crown. Her dental assistant talked me into a mouthguard which was ineffective for its purpose. Moreover, it caused damage to my existing dental work. The mouthguard was made of hard ridged material which is not recommended for people who have restorative dental work aka crowns and fillings. The pressure causes the bonding and cement to weaken and crack. Hence, I lost a crown and a filling. Dr. Prill refused to take responsibility for the damage caused by her inappropriate night guard, nor would she replace the night guard which did not fulfill its intended purpose. I am now facing thousands of dollars more of dental work discomfort, and time consuming appointments. When it comes to dental ethics, there is a term called malfeasance. This is when a doctor does more harm than good. I intend to file a complaint with the FLORIDA board of Dentistry. Here are some complaints made be other patients of Dr. Prill's. I had X-rays done here with no protective collar--I didn't even know I was supposed to have one until I looked it up online. That's unacceptable and unsafe. If they're cutting corners on basic protection, imagine what else they're skipping behind the scenes. I was highly disappointed in the services I received from this dentist. They advertise themselves like some high-end office, but it's nothing more than a money trap. They don't actually take discount insurance--you have to pay in full and "hope" they bill it correctly later. Once they've got your money, good luck seeing it again. The staff even complained about insurance and discount plans right in front of me, basically blaming patients for not being able to afford their inflated prices. $2,100 for one crown, $282 for a cleaning, $350 for two small fillings--outrageous. And no in-house financing, either. I came in with a chipped tooth and asked if they could fill it for now since I couldn't afford a crown. The dentist refused, calling it "unethical." What's really unethical is refusing to help someone in pain unless they pay top dollar. The whole experience was miserable. The X-rays were rushed and painful, one of the instruments smelled awful (which made me question their sanitation), and the assistant acted like she couldn't care less. I've also had a bad experience here before with a wisdom tooth extraction--it was terrible compared to Dr. Burns, who actually knows what he's doing. This place hides behind a fancy building and inflated prices while draining patients dry. If you value your safety, money, and basic respect, avoid this office at all cost.

My wife brings over 20 years of experience as an office manager, with a proven track record and multiple awards in both the banking and dental industries. She was actively recruited and encouraged--repeatedly--to join this practice. We have the messages to prove it. Unfortunately, the tone and treatment shifted within weeks of her starting, revealing a pattern of concerning behavior and mismanagement. To be direct: * Despite her extensive experience and reputation for professionalism, she has been accused--without justification--of mistreating patients. This is not only inaccurate, but frankly absurd given her history. * Payroll has been mishandled multiple times. I can personally account for at least five instances where she was paid late. * Payment methods have included informal transfers such as Zelle, raising legitimate concerns about proper payroll practices and tax reporting. * Excuses for late pay, including blaming holidays like Juneteenth, reflect poor planning and a lack of accountability--especially when other small businesses had no issue paying employees on time or even early. At its core, this is a failure of basic business responsibility. Employees work for two fundamental reasons: to be paid, and to be paid on time. When an employer cannot meet that standard, while simultaneously deflecting blame, it speaks volumes about how the business is being run. Based on what I have seen and the documentation available--including communications from multiple staff members--I will be pursuing formal complaints and requesting that this business be reviewed and investigated. There is a significant difference between leadership and control, and this practice clearly does not understand that distinction.
