Where do these servers come from and better yet who hires them. We waited 20 minutes to get a warm beer and the server said it's not that warm. WHAT? It was warm and she finally said it was just put in the cooler. Food was just as bad except that after 40 minutes and watching her giggling with the bar customer guys, It was cold. I commented on that too and she said it's not that cold. WTH? No tip and bailed out. What a joke for a business. read more

As far as I'm concerned this is by far the best restaurant to go to in the Grand Rapids MN area. Log cabin ambiance, very clean. I have been there 5 times, since we recently moved here. Friendly helpful service, and if it does take a while to get your food it is because they are having a hard time getting help! My husband had the rib eye, it was cooked medium rare perfectly, daughter had chicken that was juicy and yummy. I had a burger , also cooked to my liking. I could go on and on but you get what I'm saying... it is an awesome restaurant but if you go on the weekend have patience the food is worth waiting for. read more

We were yelled at by a waitress because the cook doesn't allow special requests on Friday and Saturday and then the cook yelled us that we should be telling our server if someone has an allergy, which we did. For me this place is about the deep fried walleye. They do it amazing (tho a bit pricey). Try to hit the friday special a great fish meal!

Worst service ever by any restaurant that I've known. Never coming back here. I would rate this place even worse if I could. Here's my take on the place. We headed in at 6:07 we didn't see a waitress until 6:38 we had to flag one down to suggest to take our drink order. Other customers around us that came after us got served right away. She finally got us drinks 15 minutes later. She took our order but my dad stated that he allergic to cheese and he can't have it on his burger. She said that you can't make any changes to the burger on a Friday night. My dad said if he gets cheese on his burger he'll throw up. So then the waitress basically had a mini meeting. So then the other waitress came over and rudely told our family that she will get yelled at by the cook/owner because of the change to the burger (only a slice of cheese). My dad stated again that he's allergic to cheese and he might puke if eaten. So she starts raising her voice at us because they can't take off a slice of cheese my mom asked her why are you arguing with us then she got pissed off and told my dad why don't you order something else he didn't answer. Then she stormed off and told the cook/owner that some dude was going to puke all over his kitchen. My parents went up to the cook and told him that my dad is allergic. Then the waitress lied to the cook/owner and said he never said anything about being allergic. All of this could have been avoided if she just would have been nice and told the cook not to put cheese on. Worst service ever by any restaurant I've been to in my life. Never giving those rude ungrateful people my money again. 0/10 would never recommend this place to anyone. I've never wrote a bad review on a restaurant ever but the waitresses were so rude I had to. Taken here by a good friend while on vacation in the northland. It was surprisingly good and we all had a good time. The service was friendly and even with the place full we were treated to not being rushed nor hurried to leave our table. Standard beginning fare with nice, crisp dinner salads. I opted for the baked potato with my entrée, which was the blackened salmon. The same was moist, the blackening was spicy without being overwhelming, and it was very tasty. Others had the broiled salmon (also got good reviews) and a couple of burgers that looked very good -- and grilled as ordered. We did BYOB with a bottle of wine and the corkage was only $6.00 -- being from Chicago I was shocked! We passed on desserts since we were all full from our meals. A solid choice in this area and by far the best in Cohasset without a doubt and beats several of the places in neighboring Grand Rapids! I fully recommend! read more

Went out with my wife and had the chicken and ribs special with fries and it was really good the chicken was juicy and had a good batter the ribs were juicy and pulled off the bone. My wife had blackened salmon and we both loved it. We almost always share so we can see what each dish tastes like. The staff was friendly and attentive. We are going back on Saturday for the prime rib special. Ok went to the Saturday prime rib special and it was good my wife had a burger my daughter had the kids fish dinner and she's 7 and are it all( I really liked it). My son had chicken strips we all enjoyed our dinner. Good job we will be back. read more

Wont step foot in this place anymore and will make sure people know about it!!!! Haven't been back here for 6 months or so always call and make reservations. We had reservations at 6:30pm for Friday night fish fry, We didn't get served or even drinks for over an hour and there was empty seats. two couples came in sat down after us got drinks and served before we even seen a waitress. when the waitress finely came asked what we wanted to drink took 10min. or so to get them, we ordered , my husband told the waitress how disappointed we were and finally told her just to leave, Angie thinking she's so high and mighty comes over and tells us were not welcome there if we can't be good to our staff told her how long we had been waiting there she got mouthy so we did to, then The girl that's in the kitchen comes and starts in and says we told the waitress to F-off WE never did when I looked at the waitress I pointed at her and told her WE never said that, she said I didn't say that Angie did, Angie wouldn't come and face us and the Mouth from the kitchen says my staff don't lie to me You know what YES THEY DO But ok so I told her to F-off then, I will Never step foot back in there and when we did it was always over 100.00 dollars, and I'll make sure my friends know to shouldn't have to wait to get served 1 1/2 hours to busy talking and standing around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also a old couple at bar tried to say they heard us No they didn't but hey got them a free drink. Wed night shrimp is a regular thing in my family. So much so that my parents don't even get a menu anymore. My preference is the walleye sandwich... hands down BEST fish sandwich I've had and I have eaten it over and over. Sadly I ordered the reuben once... the meat was chopped up and pretty much just mixed in with the dressing and saurkraut... yuck! Huge disappointment... This is exactly what you would hope for in local bar/restaurant! Great food and service! My husband and I went there while on a resort vacation in the Grand Rapids area. They had expanded their outdoor seating after Covid and it was a beautiful evening to be outdoors. We visited with kind locals from safe distancing and the menu recommendations were spot on. Husband had walleye and I and I had the fried chicken and ribs special. Both were very good. Don't miss this place if you are in the area. The owners are on site and doing a great job. Went there on a Friday night and it was busy, as expected of a fish fry. Food was alright, though nothing great. Service though was fairly poor as none of the wait staff stopped by on their own we had to flag them down and even then they weren't very attentive. The food here is great! The at bar service is great as well.......however, the table service is progressively getting worse. This evening we were served by no less than three separate wait-people. As you can imagine, this led to poor service throughout! At one point I had to approach the bar for service as we had been waiting for 20 minutes with no check in. Compound this with the determination of who to tip, or are supposed to you tip all three at 20-25%??? In looking at the structure and layout of table assignments it seemed to be total chaos. My recommendation is to streamline and possibly 6-Sigma the current wait program.... read more
