I've never had my nails break as much as I have after this manicure. I went in on the 18th to get them done the first time. I went home and immediately noticed my left thumb nail was already popping off, so I returned on the 19th to get it redone and they fixed it for free. On the 22nd my ring finger snapped off, so I returned the next day and they fixed that for free as well. On the 24th my pinky snapped off and I had given up going back to get it fixed. And just a couple days ago on the 28th my thumb snapped off too. For a $120 manicure, I feel like this shouldn't be happening. read more

But despite all the changes, the service has not wavered. I've been fortunate enough to have my technician, Jon, remain throughout the changing of hands. My nails were bleeding by the time I walked out of there, the manager/owner (?) refused to give me the color I wanted for some inexplicable reason, so my nails were nearly white rather than pink. I come here more often than i Should tbh because the prices are a little overpriced for the quality of service. But today sent me over the roof!! Because Currently I'm in pain!! The lady who did my pedicure and manicure knicked , and poked where she shouldn't had been way too many times and my fingers and toes is sore. She also didn't give the mini massage they normally do when i came. Moving forward i paid and the lady up front Idk her name was chastising me about tipping more. Excuse me ? How about a "how was everything ?" Then i would've had the pleasure in letting her know how bad everything was. I'm not one to sit up and complain so i wanted to just pay and leave and TIP what i felt the mail Tech deserved. A TIP is deserved not REQUIRED and the amount isn't REQUIRED either. Once i told her what was going on and my bleeding finger then she wanted to rush me out the door and quiet me. I won't be going back here which is unfortunate because it's right downstairs from my apartment building but i don't tolerate being chastised or embarrassed in front of customers like i don't pay my tab. Since moving to this area I've tried 4 or 5 other nail places from Edgewater to Jersey City, all were good but none were the one-stop-shop, with a good balance between cost and extravagance, I was looking for. I noticed this place was across the street from my dry cleaner and since I haven't really found a place that felt right I figured I'd try them out. I came in about 4 on a Friday and got right in for a basic pedi and a gel mani. I was struggling with what colors to do since I have an emerald green gown for the wedding I'm attending this weekend and the young woman (Claudia) who did my pedi was very helpful in selecting a color. She grabbed several colors and having me try them on and giving me time to decide, which I much appreciated. Meanwhile also offering me tea or water! I ultimately went with a gel French on my fingernails. Now any time I've ever gotten a gel French, the white part has always been halfway up the nail and/or a few of the nails have been crooked. I'm not overly picky about it because whatever - its gel and better than I could ever do, but it is part of the reason I stopped getting French gel manis and went to colors a couple years ago. Tonight Hannah did a phenomenal job on my French gel mani. Not only is the white thin and even (she could have gone thicker or thinner what's in the pic is what I chose) but she also took the time to file out a tiny spot that most nail pros would have likely ignored. The gel doesn't feel to thick or thin and they look great. Thanks to these lovely ladies I can go to the wedding in style this weekend. I'd give more stars if I could - this place is a hidden gem and all the people there were very kind and helpful. Pro-tip: there is 3 hour retail parallel parking in front of the salon, which can be tough to nab during peak hour (especially sat afternoons) but there is a parking lot and a parking garage with 2 hour retail parking behind the Acme. read more

Like everyone said, it's overpriced, lumpy work, honestly it's nothing nonsense over there. This time around I went for a pedicure. Again it was an emergency!!!! I went with white gel nail polish. That nail polish started turning brown with 24 hours ... It has now been 3 days and I haven't don't ANYTHING in those 3 days except go to my workout it classes and go out to dinner in open toed heels... the nail polish is almost half brown. There is no reason for my nail polish to go from white to brown. I literally cannot even begin to imagine what they add to the nail polish that makes it change to ugly colors. Seriously Floris needs to be shut down and replaced with a real nail salon. This place is an actual joke. read more

I just moved to the area and hadn't found a new nail salon yet. My friend and I stopped in here on a Saturday after walking past. We both got pedicures and I got a gel manicure. The pedicures were okay, nothing special and felt very overpriced considering it only took about 20 minutes. My pedicure started chipping two days later, before I even left for vacation. Typically the polish from my pedicures doesn't chip at all, I have to take it off myself. My friend was also underwhelmed with hers as well. The gel manicure felt really rushed. There wasn't much done at all for cleaning up my cuticles. The polish application was sloppy, there was some on my skin that I had to remove on my own. After leaving I could see how uneven the polish was, with spots where you could see my natural nail through the color. Honestly, I've been doing a better job on my gel manicures at home. The place did seem clean, and they had a ton of color options. It's possible it was just an off day, but I won't be returning to find out. read more

They always had great professionals taking care of mani, pedi and massage, but the managers were not always very nice. I gave this place about 4 chances purely for convenience, but gave up. Find the lady at the front desk to be very rude and never feel very comfortable there. The place itself is nice and clean, and many nail techs so they actually stick to booking times unlike other places. But the price is very high for the level of service, I always just go for gel manicure but they always chipped within a week of having them done, sometimes less. They also filed my nails down so thin, they actually hurt! And then said I had very weak nails. Unfortunately won't be returning. read more

I've been here couple of times over the course of past year and a half but todays experience was uncomfortable to say the least. The lady who I usually get my mani pedi is no longer with the place so I made an appointment for the next available time slot. Jessica was the lady who took "care" of me today and made remarks throughout the process to which I was taken aback by. First I asked her for my regular pedi and callus removal to which she tried to upsell the spa pedicure. I am always open to recommendations so I said sure. She then went to grab the spa pedicure toolkit (which she told me to do btw) all frustrated and made remarks in a different language to which her coworkers reacted. I kept shut and finished the process. Then it was time for powder mani. I always get powder mani here but she took me to another customer, showed me her nails and said do this or something along the lines. I didn't grasp fully so I just said thank you I'll just do the powder mani. Again kept shut and let her do her craft. During the mani, she kept dragging my fingers and told me to relax it. Idk what I was to relax at that point, my bones? Lol. Idk man the person doing it usually takes control of the hand and fingers but gently so. She was nowhere close to gentle and at one point she slightly pushed it so i asked her genuinely why she is so angry. I wanted to understand if I was doing something wrong, although the whole time i was watching videos on my phone minding my own business. Once again, she laughed hysterically and decided to announce it to which her coworkers reacted, again. I was just there sitting uncomfortably for this whole process to finish. I paid my bill and paid her 20% tip that I would have done regardless of my experience today because I understand the work that comes with it. However after today, I have no intention of going back and anyone who is looking to relax and have a spa day, I'm not sure you're really in for a relaxation. read more

It's close to my apartment and that is the only reason I've given this place multiple chances (simply for my convenience). Today I paid $45 for a 20 minute pedicure because someone walked in the door at the same time as me and they were under-staffed. I was rushed out the door and if I'm being honest, my feet are in no better shape than they were when I walked in the salon. Past pedicures I've gotten my toes have chipped in 2 days, I won't trust these people to touch my acrylic nails. I completely understand places are understaffed due to the pandemic, but if I am paying and tipping on a service, I expect at least the bare minimum. OK! She did a decent job on removal and that's the only reason for the 2 stars. My gel manicure is so terrible that I'm annoyed about it 4 days later. Every single nail is not polished correctly; I had to also come home and file them myself even after clarifying how I preferred them. The cuticle?! The first time, they treated me like I had two head, but I won't use the obvious reason why this occurred. I felt so unwelcome, just wanted them to finish and walk right out.
