I've never had my nails break as much as I have after this manicure. I went in on the 18th to get them done the first time. I went home and immediately noticed my left thumb nail was already popping off, so I returned on the 19th to get it redone and they fixed it for free. On the 22nd my ring finger snapped off, so I returned the next day and they fixed that for free as well. On the 24th my pinky snapped off and I had given up going back to get it fixed. And just a couple days ago on the 28th my thumb snapped off too. For a $120 manicure, I feel like this shouldn't be happening.

    Joy did my manicure!

thank you for my cute nails! I've been coming here for 4 years now. it's best to call in advance. Slow hours are in the morning time usually really busy after 3pm.

My daughter went here and they're way over priced and they also had the nerve to tell her gratuity is included in the price which is why it's so much. She paid $120 for these basic nails. As she was leaving She said the lady ran after her grabbed her by the shoulder outside and told her that she needed to tip in cash as well! The nerve of these people.

Polish is not smooth very lumpy.

Made an appointment for a mani/pedi - I have been going for a couple of years and they know I needed a fill in. Then they complete the pedicure and sit me at a station only to say they can't do the manicure because it's too late. Last manicure was not good and the polish was lumpy. I think this place is subpar.

I have been here multiple times. Kathy is extremely detailed and always attentive to my requests. The manicures and pedicures last FOREVER. So glad to have found this spot

    Thumb still bleeding hours later

EXTREMELY overpriced for the worst manicure experience of my life. My nails were bleeding by the time I walked out of there, the manager/owner (?) refused to give me the color I wanted for some inexplicable reason, so my nails were nearly white rather than pink. The pedicure was done in under 15 minutes, and for this service I paid $155, and the nail tech stood over me while I paid and asked me for a tip. I wish more than anything that I'd listened to the bad reviews. I truly cannot believe what I just paid for all that pain.

Tiffany is also great. She does great designs and is so friendly. She always makes sure my Nails are perfect and she knows exactly the length I like. Thanks Tiffany!!!

It's a shame that I have to leave a bad review because Carlos was a fantastic massage therapist…read more He is truly a healer. The reason I am leaving not a favorable review is for a couple of reasons: I made appt. with Carlos. I showed up 5 minutes before my appointment, the lights were on in the spa, but no one was there. I called the number of the spa and the owner said let me call Carlos. She said, he was delayed and wouldn't be able to make the appt. I knew this couldn't be true because Carlos is very responsible. Then, the owner said, she had a family emergency which is understandable, but there was no sign on the window saying she had to leave due to a family emergency. Then, she she changed her excuse a third time. I have been going to spas for 30 years and I never had no one showed up. I understand if there was a true emergency, life happens, but this was not the case. She did leave a message to apologize and said she would give me a substantial discount on my next massage. When I called her back, she said she would give me 15% off which I did not think was fair. She said, she would think about offering me a larger discount, but never called me back. I have been a loyal customer and always tipped generously. This is not good business and hence I will never go back there again. Also, be very careful with the woman owner because she tried to charge me for a 1 1/2 hour massage and I only had a 1 hour massage which Carlos had to confirm with her. One more thing, my husband bought me a gift certificate and I lost the gift certificate. I asked if her I could still use it, she said no because she has no record of the gift certificates that were purchased.

Two, they are very hospitable meaning that they serve you tea or water while you wait for your facials. All organic of course. It was to the point where I called twice before the lady told me. That was my only problem. 3/5: Would go again but this time, I would just try with someone else.

Rating: 4.4 Decided…read moreto visit on the past day before going back home. We intentionally planned so that this will be last so that we can take the day to relax and rest our body to go back home to our daily lives after busy day in NYC. We did some research and made sure to come on weekday earlier in the morning so that it's not too congested. We got there at 10:00am on Monday morning as which was perfect time. They have valet parking but it cost additional money so we just used their free parking lot which is located a block away from the main building on the same side. Once we got there we checked in and were guided through with instruction on what to expect and rules. Once you check in your bag gets checked. Be aware that you cannot bring any outside food or drink. You can bring empty water bottle/container which is highly recommended. After the bag check you take your shoes off and drop them off at the shoe locker which is guided by the staff. After that you enter the inner zone. It's recommended to start at floor 4 so that you can go to the main locker to drop off your other luggage and change into swimwear if not already. It's also recommended to take a quick shower before going into the pools and baths which you may want to do once you go to the bathroom. Once you are settled you can put your robe and go on your way to the amenities. We started our experience on the 4th floor at the outdoor bath. Started on foot bath with stones, silk bath, carbon bath, and hinoki bath which were nice and relaxing. We then went to Dry sauna and ganbanyoku which is hot stone sauna. Hot stone sauce had few different type of stone you can lay on so we decided to try all of them. Once we were done we went into the cold bath with waterfall to cool ourselves and went to try the bath with water jets/hydrotherapy. There were few different types that target your back, neck, foot, ...etc. we basically tried them all. They feel pretty nice and some are pretty strong almost like S massage. Once we were done with 4th floor we registered for volcanic sand bath which is an extra charge $20 experience per person. We scheduled a time and went up to 6th floor for our session. Once they are ready they go over some information and precautions and get you changed to yukata. They do recommend to go naked under for full experience and i do recommend it as well. Once you are ready the staff will take you to a spot and have you lay down and start to cover you in volcanic sand from Japan. Once you are covered you lay there and enjoy the experience. It's like you are laying in the sand at the beach that are hot and heavy. Its feels very nice and relaxing. They will leave you about 10 minutes and will give you some cold towel on your head which feels great. You will start to feel some sweat dripping from your body and your face. Once it's about 15minutes the staff will come and direct you to get up and give you some water to hydrate. They will make sure you feel ok before directing you to go to the shower to wash yourself up before changing back to your Swimsuit. It's a good idea to go full naked under because sand will get under everywhere and you can clean them off during the shower. Once you are cleaned up we took a quick break and had lunch at the food court which is directly next to the volcanic sand bath on 6th floor. We got bulgogi with rice and fries to share which was ok. Bit expensive but to be expected with facility of this kind. Once we were done eating we went down to 5th floor to enjoy the saunas. We tried pretty much all of the saunas including salt, charcoal, red brick, infrared, stone, and clay. We took a quick break in ice room and once we finished the sauna we took a quick break at the relaxation area and lay down for a bit. Once we were relaxed we went up to the 7th floor and enjoyed the infinity pool. You can see the skyline of NYC across the hudson river. Took some photos of the gorgeous view. We lay down for a bit to relax and went back down to finish the day with foot bath as we were cold coming out of the pool. We went back to the 4th floor to change and check out. Got our shoes and walked back to the parking lot yo head out. Overall i liked the experience that was offered at sojo spa club. I can see that our experience may have been different if it was on weekends and or if the weather was not good but we planned well and was also lucky with the weather so we were able to enjoy the facility to its full extent and i liked it. Service was good and a lot of the process was stream lined so that our time waiting was minimized. Would come back again.

BEWARE!! $90 + non-optional "25% + TIP" with 2-way lock (PRISON)...will hold you hostage if you…read moredon't generously "OPTIONALLY TIP" !! (I was offered a happy ending, but declined.) This is what I would call a "middle-of-the-road" place, pretends to be a spa but is somewhere between a $60 NYC massage parlor and outright rub-and-tug swindle joint. There is no "$90 tip included" massage (whomever planted that review is either female, or one of the staff/friend of the place). Expect to pay $90 plus be extorted for a generous "tip" that is NOT optional. They intentionally have a 2-way lock installed on the door that is controlled from the 2nd floor, so they can literally LOCK YOU INSIDE if you refuse to leave a "generous tip" (OVER 20%). They have a sign saying "suggested 20% tip" which is a JOKE. For a $90 massage, I asked to tip $15 and the woman basically refused to give me change, then rudely took a phone call while talking LOUDLY in (Thai/Chinese?), clearly saying "Eff You". I demanded change and was lucky to be let out of this prison. While the massage itself was good, I will not tolerate being HUSTLED and SCAMMED by basically sex workers who pretend to be a normal / semi-upscale massage/spa, and then hold you ransom if you don't PAY UP. [There is a word for this type of scam in Japan... These people are definitely not Japanese, but it's right up there with that level of shadiness.] Nice, relaxing massage RUINED by the scammer sex-worker "pay more or else we'll lock you inside and talk rudely on the phone while ignoring you while you ask for change" vibe. Generally, a run down "spa" that is just sex workers in disguise. BTW, get a new plumber, because your sad excuse for "tile work" where your lame "handy-man" basically slapped a bunch of grout and glue all over the wall all around the faucets while replacing your failed plumbing -- essentially ruining what was once a nice original tile job from the early 2000's -- is outright ghetto. At least for way you're hustling customers, it's reassuring to know you got scammed by a sad wanna-be plumber (probably your family member), who doesn't know WTF they're doing and destroyed your entire 400sf "sauna" tile shower with shoddy, horrid looking workmanship that looks like it was done by a 4th grader.

I made an appointment ahead of time for 11 am on a Monday. I was looking for a no frills, no thrills, cheap massage place just to get all the knots out, and this fit the bill. An hour body massage is $50. There was a Yelp check-in deal for $89.99 one hour couples massage, but when I showed them, they said it was old, and they didn't honor it. They also advertise several different types of massages (ie. Swedish, deep tissue, Shiatsu) but no one asked what type we wanted. It ended up being fine. My masseuse asked several times about the pressure just to make sure I was okay. Overall, the massage helped me relax but I probably won't be back, just because I don't live that close by, and traffic can be kind of crazy in that area. Tip - there's a parking lot but it can get a bit cramped since there are other shops in the same lot.
