I especially appreciated how spotless the bathrooms were that definitely deserves a shoutout! And the food was an absolute 10/10! I had the curry with the fried tofu bites, along with a green juice, and everything was delicious. I honestly wanted to finish every last bite, but I was so full that I had to take the rest home to enjoy at work. I started off with Fresh Sprouts Rolls (2 for $8.99) and Basil Rolls (2 for $6.99). They were both wrapped in rice paper so you can really enjoy the tasty ingredients. Each came with a different dipping sauce. Then I went with the Portobella Noodle ($17.99). I'm happy to report that there were more fresh vegetable & mushrooms than noodles and included a savory sauce. With easily the largest vegan menu I've ever seen, lotus vegan doesn't disappoint. I went alone today and got the vegan wings and the Brussel sprout curry. The wings are so basic and delicious that my meat eating son would love them. Crispy and not spicy, they are a more delicious chicken tender. They come with a delicious ranch, but I used the house made chilis instead. The Brussel sprout curry, on the other hand, is original and amazing. Brussel sprouts, pineapple, great spice and soy protein, I left out the onions because I hate them, and the rice because I'm avoiding carbs, but she offered brown or white. Delicious and original. Menu selection is very extensive and there is something for everyone. Health food to soul food. Fresh rare vegetables, herbs, and spices. Had been going here for years when in town for work and many of my friends in the area order their takeout. It's always tasty. A little pricey but they are cruelty free which is awesome. The owner told me they don't serve wine by the glass because they don't believe alcohol to be healthy even in moderation. I respect that they claim to care about their patrons (humans) as well as animals. That's admirable and rare, but they serve sugary drinks and fried foods too which aren't necessarily healthy for their patrons. So... maybe they just don't have a liquor license. It was not overly sweet like the sauce other restaurants serve with their fried appetizer rolls. Seemed tasty but healthy. Spring rolls were also tasty. Salad rolled into rice paper; served with a good peanut sauce. Sesame ball is excellent. A chewy texture but very tasty and not too sweet. I tasted shredded coconut. Served hot. A great dessert. I ordered the fabulous pho- it came with the most realistic vegan beef I've ever had in my life! I really enjoyed the dish but I think the portion is a little smaller than what I expect with pho. My meat eating husband ordered the Pad Thai, he said it was a 7/10. It had a more red color to the sauce than regular non-vegan Pad Thai. On first approach the building is a bit unkempt. I had read great reviews about the food and I love Vietnamese, and wanted to give it a chance. Very clean when you walk in, no ambience. The server was nice but all the food brought to me ion paper plates and eating with cheap plastic utensils lessened my experience greatly. I was visiting from Orlando and had done my vegan research for the area... Lotus was practically the top of the list of places I wanted to visit. I took my mom for dinner and was surprised at the menu even having looked on Yelp and their website ahead of time. There was way more variety and dishes on the menu than I expected. A bunch of different Asian cuisine, raw foods, smoothies, breakfasts, all sorts of stuff. And of course, ALL VEGAN!! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, a favorite of mine and this one did not disappoint. Their house made tofu was awesome! And fried up perfectly. I really enjoyed it. But my mom? I was a little envious of her dish. She got the eggplant tofu with rice. (It was my second choice between that and the noodles and I think she got it to be nice since she knew I wanted both. LOL) And thank goodness she did, because it was phenomenal. She Chinese eggplant was cooked perfectly (nice and soft, but not fall apart mushy) and the house made tofu was again a great addition to the dish. The sauce was delicious and I had a hard time not finishing the entire plate when my mom got full. Oh, and we also started with the Spring Rolls. We got two massive rolls that were filled with veggies and tofu and a delicious peanut sauce. The s'mores dessert I took back to the hotel was too much for me. There was a ton of graham cracker crumbs and the chocolate may have just been Hershey's syrup. Wouldn't get that again, but there were other desserts that looked great too. The location itself appears to be in an old Pizza Hut and isn't exactly fine dining, but I have been to very few vegan places that are. And for my entree i got the vegan sushi which pretty basic but taste was exactly what i needed. So happy! It's a very calm and casual atmosphere, I wish it was closer to me so I could go more often! I was told this was a favorite vegan spot of a co-worker, so I had to check it out. I found it to be a very popular place as I watched constant customers come the whole time I was there. The place is set-up as a restaurant/store. You can eat in, take out or buy something for later. I chose Pad Thai for my dinner, and it was good. However, it was odd/different to be served on a paper plate in a restaurant. But I enjoyed my food nonetheless. I also had what they called a golden roll. Its like a vegetable roll. I also had homemade juice; they call sunlight juice. It had fresh organic apple, pineapple, orange and pomegranate juice. It was tasty, but had a frothy top to it. It's pretty mediocre food. I've been a vegan for 14 years and have eaten at some incredible vegan places. The wontons were cold when they came out, and pretty flavorless. The mangonada was decent but too much chammoy and not enough mango. The Thai tea however was one of the best tea's I've had in a long time. It was super sweet and vegan! The panini tasted awful being honest. I couldn't even get through half of a half; but the fries were yummy! The service was slow but I can't blame them, they had 3 people running the entire shop. It's pretty run down and dirty, but they tried to spice it up a little. It has a cute little shop to get oriental things! Awesome vegan restaurant with great prices and something for everyone. A lot of the food you can't even tell is vegan. It's super quick service, you can order over the phone and it'll be ready in like 10 minutes. Seating is very casual and they have a buffet every 3rd Saturday of the month. I got golden rolls and crispy tofu, both did not disappoint. I highly recommend the crispy noodle (#51) The sauce is really good and they load it up with broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms, among other veggies, tofu and another soy protein.
