The Goodfella sandwich from Good Fellas Bagel Deli in Lansing, MI. I'm usually not a breakfast person but this was pretty dang good. Sausage, egg, hatch chile, Havarti cheese, and avocado cream cheese on a bagel. Definitely fills you up and cures any hangover or hangry person . If you're in the area check em out! #eatlikejed #goodfellasbageldeli #goodfellasandwich #mieats #goodeats #instafood #foodie #latergram #bagel #breakfast

Yummy bagels ordered via DoorDash, I ordered the night before so they would be delivered to my hotel room right when waking up. Ordered the Cosa Nostra salmon and the Godfather which were both very delicious. One came hot and the other came cold just how I ordered them. Next time I will order in their restaurant when it isn't so cold outside. LOL

If you're confused about where exactly this is located, it's inside the Capital City Market. I was hungry after working an overnight shift and this was the first place that came up when I looked up bagel on Yelp. When it comes to bagels I have pretty high expectations since I think NY/NJ bagels are the best. I got the bada bing sandwich (chorizo, egg, bacon, tomato, avocado) on a jalepeño bagel which honestly was pretty good. The chorizo definitely is what made the sandwich really good. The bagel itself was average. Overall, I think if you're looking for a good bagel sandwich this place will certainly satisfy you!

I'm pretty bummed because I've read great things about this place. But sadly I didn't feel it was worth the time. We ordered 3 bagel sandwiches and a vanilla latte on our way to Lansing, about 40 minutes in advance (scheduled order said ready by 10:30). Unfortunately, once we arrived at 10:15 we had to wait an additional hour for the order to be ready. This happens at popular places I just wish we would have known and would have ordered farther in advance! If it was an exceptional bagel, then it's worth waiting! But sadly it was very mediocre and honestly would recommend going to a Brueggers bagels or Panera for your bagel fix because you'll get the same time thing but not have to wait an hour. To top it off, the coffee I ordered was just a can, which I can buy at Trader Joe's. Feedback for restaurant: Put the expected wait time on the website when people are ordering in advance! Also, please don't use styrofoam because it's bad for the environment. If you wrap the sandwich well, you don't need the extra container (I saw everyone just instantly trash their styrofoam box as they were eating)

I was craving a lox bagel sandwich and came across Goodfella's Bagels on Yelp. Placed a Grubhub order for a Cosa Nostra on an everything bagel and the house fries and was on my way. When I arrived they were pretty busy, but my food came out hot and smelled delicious! The bagel was a little over cooked but it all tasted delicious! The house fries were awesome, love the chipotle aioli dipping sauce, it brought some heat. Definitely going back to try the other bagel sandwiches!

This place is AWESOME! Delicious menu with an option for everyone (including vegetarian bagel sandwich with black bean patty) and they are affordable and fast. Tried the Beca Blanco today and definitely coming back soon for more!

This is the spot for all your breakfast needs. I love this place and am so happy I stumbled upon it one Sunday since it was one of the few places open! This is a newer business but they work as if they've been doing this for years, I'm never shocked with how long the wait is because everyone is going here with good reason to! I call in my order of the Bada Bing sandwich and "house fries" (they just added to their menu) which are cheesy, bacon covered potatoes with a side chipotle aioli.. my mouth is watering just thinking about it again.

Excellent bagel sandwiches with fresh tasty toppings. Give this place a try! I recommend The Godfather.

You have to order/pay inside but you can wait outside for your food.

Bagel shop with a cool theme. Delicious and fresh! Friendly and efficient staff. Everything was made to order with the great ingredients sourced from Michigan so supporting local is something they do. The bagels were soft and not too chewy. Everything was cooked to perfection. Tons of flavor. Definitely will go back when I'm in town again.

A welcoming little joint right on the corner. The food was fantastic. I had the Bada Bing, and it brought the Bada Boom.

I also liked the mismatched mugs. They seemed seriously understaffed, and service was very slow. We ordered drinks, and waited long enough for someone to come back to take our food order that we were starting to wonder if they thought we were only getting drinks. There was another long wait for our food. When it arrived, it arrived in batches. One person ordered three tacos, but the order was entered wrong, so they only got one to start, and they had to wait quite a while for the other two. The food was good overall, but the portions were quite small. I did like the Bourbon Street French toast, particularly the caramel sauce. It could have used more bananas though. The fried pickles were good, as were the spicy mozzarella sticks. The steak omelet's sauce was odd. The nachos were good. The coffee and lattes were good. The regular orange juice had less juice than one poured for our toddler. Overall it was alright, but I don't know that I'd go back.

The Kevin Bacon LT was one of their many varieties of avocado toast which tasted very fresh and clean. Came in on a Sunday morning in August and the wait was 20 minutes, which is normally not an issue but the restaurant was only about 75% full. Service was a little slow but did not alter our positive experience. We will definitely be coming back to try more things on the menu.

Batter Up Bistro reminds me of several places I've visited in New Orleans with a jazz trio playing ragtime as I enjoyed brunch and maybe a midday Hurricane cocktail. The interior is rustic chic while still being warm and inviting and I really enjoyed the beverages I ordered. The Apple Crisp Latte ($8) I ordered for my breakfast visit was hot and made me feel even more cozy. Apple simple syrup paired with house coffee blend and oat milk with notes of cinnamon was very pleasing to the palette without been blown away by apple flavor. The Baron ($15) was a pre-dinner cocktail with whiskey, ginger beer & liquor, almond bitters, and a hickory smoked finish. It was strong, but not breathtaking, a well-balanced flavor profile. What's Really Good Dinner service was suitable even if a bit slow, especially given the few diners that were also in attendance that evening. The bar tender was also waiting tables and while he was capable and hospitable, he clearly had too much on his plate running the front of house solo. I started with the Sea Scallop appetizer ($17). Three substantial scallops with a dill forward dusting sit atop a lovely, creamy parsnip puree. The puree was slightly sweet and the microgreens that were likely intended more as a garnish offered a nice textural note. The scallops were cooked uneven if I'm being honest where only one out of the three had a desirable brown crust and the other two were grayer. Dinner went up several notches with the Pan-seared Salmon ($32) which I ordered blackened. The fish was tender and flaky, and the blackened seasoning was right on target. The salmon paired quite well with the roasted Brussels sprouts, which themselves had a lovely char, and the wild rice. I also appreciated the accompanying blackberries which offered a touch of sweetness without compromising earthiness. Best Bite My first visit was a bit lonely as I was the only patron dining on a Thursday mid-morning. Perhaps the previous day's snowfall had scared others away, but I was itching to get out and about finding the breakfast selections a respite from winter's doldrums. I ordered the Eggs Benny ($20) with perfectly poached eggs atop their delightful house baked toast which was dense enough to hold up the thinly sliced ham, eggs, microgreens, and herbaceous hollandaise sauce. The sauce was rich and creamy with a pleasant punch of lemon and dill. The dish is served with garlic and herbed red skin breakfast potatoes and they were a hit. Also, a star was the side of thick cut bacon ($8) which was smokey and a perfect medium cook. Chef Cari came out to express her gratitude for my visit, which only made me wish more folks had joined me that day.
