If you concentrate on it, you can smell that it used to be a car showroom. They seem to have a good menu of baked goods and coffee. Be ready for some non-sustainable prices. 1/2 box of donuts is running over $20 - somewhat of a Ducks Donut model with different flavors and toppings - which are cake donuts made to order. There are some beverage and beer and wine sales too. Folks working behind the counter seemed nice and friendly. Overall good vibe for Leonardtown. Since there isn't a Duck Donuts locally, this is the closest thing to it, but be prepared to shell out more money for donuts than the new DD down the street. read more

This bakery just opened June 2023 and has delicious made to order donuts! They have many different flavor choices that begin with a vanilla or chocolate donut. The donuts are fried and prepared when you order, so it takes a little bit to get your order. The cashier was very friendly and helped us choose the flavor of lemonade and wanted. The counter and eating area was clean and cute. There are areas to seat, including tables and bar style tables at the windows. There is also an area with alcohol and sodas for sale. Today was a warm day and they had all the doors propped open to create a breeze. I could imagine enjoying a morning or afternoon working in there or visiting with friends. Doughnuts were so creative and delicious. The dough reminded me of the coating on a corndog, but sweeter. The staff was lovely and solicitous. It is the kind of comfy place you can sit down and spend unrushed time w friends or a first date. The space is light and bright. There were at least 20 different creative doughnuts. Joining the one and done community. I apparently should have read the reviews before stepping in and spending $32 on 6 donuts, 2 bagels and a cup of coffee. Donuts: wanna be duck donuts but bland and veryyy dry. The toppings weren't even very good. They have a large variety but out of my small sample size, I could not recommend any of them again. Bagels: stale and way overworked, tough to chew. Coffee: got a large cold brew that was mostly just a cup of ice with a splash of tasteless, bitter coffee. After coming here and google for reviews, I'm glad I didn't try any of the sandwiches or other desserts. Save yourself some money and go get Dunkin!! read more

We walked through town on Friday 10/18. We saw this place and hubby fell in love with the idea of a pumpkin pie latte; but I was 7pm so I nixed that. Sunday 10/20 we got up early to stop here for his pumpkin latte and pumpkin eclair. We ordered his and I got a chocolate latte and a blueberry scone. I asked the cashier several times and she repeated my order. 25 minutes later we're called and now we're running late and there's no eclair one of the main reasons we're there. Hubby was cranky and frustrated with the wait and others who were called for pick up after we ordered. We just left as we were now severely late. I took a sip of my "coffee" and spat it out. It was milky water with a hint of chocolate. I told hubby to swing around block and I'm going to exchange coffee for eclair. They did offer me to remake it but they don't use coffee. Cashier put an extra eclair in box and I reminded her yet again PUMPKIN. She exchanged it a 3rd time. She said she put an extra one to apologize. Now, perhaps it's because I'm from a city that knows what real food is, but these eclairs were disappointing. The pâte à choux was hard and dense. It was like day old bread. Pâte à choux is a LIGHT, FLAKY dough. This was so overworked dough it should have been used for a door stop. Hubby agreed the "coffee" was actually water. There's no coffee in his cup. He asked if they reused the grounds. The scone was ok, hence the 2 stars. The blueberries were large but only about 5 berries on the outside nothing on the inside. Came here pretty excited to try this staple local spot. They offer many different options from homemade bagels, pastries, and deli sandwiches as well. I had high hopes. My partner got a sausage breakfast sandwich on a toasted jalapeño bagel that came out with half raw sausage. They did remake it for us though so I'll give them points for that. I got a croissant bagel sandwich on a croissant and asked if it was homemade. They definitely seem like storebought which is okay but it came out cold with a slice of cold cheese on it and warm egg. They remade this as well but I could tell they just microwaved the croissant. We got an apple pie donut and that was good! The bagel on my partners sandwich was good too. Probably more of a donut and bagel stop for those coming in. I wouldn't venture to get the sandwiches again. read more

Went on a Sunday and it was quite busy. Service was friendly and it's a nice treat. Donuts were $3.75 each and a bagel with cream cheese was $3.50. Bagel was good but not mindblowing. It looked like people mostly came for the made to order donuts. It reminds me of Duck Donuts, but the donuts have a more homemade fried donut taste. Now there is another bakery a few doors down from this one but that one is worse... anyway.. The donuts are good, I like that it's baked and it tastes fresh and are made fresh. I think their donuts are the only good thing here. I've come here 4 times and the desserts in the case are nothing worth raving about. They're all either dry or not flavorful. And for the price or them, that's pretty dissapointing. Ordering online is your best bet at avoiding chance letdowns because of poor counter skills. Rating would have been higher without the unnecessary order mishap I experienced. Sandwiches and deli area is mediocre. Also, I have come into contact with an employee their multiple times. We have been here a few times to give it a chance. But I'm done and won't be returning. It's really expensive for everything and doesn't even taste very good. Prices aren't posted on chalkboards or in cases. Discovered that bagels are $3.50 each---absolutely ridiculous price, especially considering that they weren't fresh. We bought three different flavors of bagels. Two had to have been day-old or even older---completely stale. The third had a little bounce left in the dough but definitely wasn't fresh. Sandwiches (tuna salad, egg salad, etc.) are pre-made and wrapped in Saran Wrap in the case. They cost about $12.50 each---insane. Don't even get me started about the prices for whole loaves of bread, which all look generic and not home-baked. I am not sure if it was the owner I spoke to but, I went inside and asked to use the restroom. The lady who was by the door looked at me like I was insane, looked at me up and down and yelled in my face that there was no public restrooms but I can make an order if I wanted to. I made an order anyway as the employees were extremely kind. While I made the order I saw a sign right by the register that said "Restrooms"...that lady was rude and very openly racist in her behavior towards me and I was genuinely astounded that racism and rudeness like this still exists in 2024. Our first time here. We were referred to the kiosk ordering so we could see pictures of the donuts - they aren't on display as they are made (or frosted and topped) to order. We ordered the only 3 breakfast option that had - breakfast sandwich, bagel and donut. They were out of two, or I should say they were out of the bagel I ordered. Ok...guess we are only having donuts. I skipped the $5 coffee too, as it appears that they only have shelf stable coffee mate. I thought it was a bit steep and I'd prefer a $3 Dunkin coffee down the street. The donuts are ok. They only have vanilla or chocolate cake donuts, but then they cover them in frosting, drizzle and all sorts of toppings. They are large and messy, not suitable to grabbing on a road trip. The cake donut was fresh and had a nice little crispiness on the edges. The donut was not very sweet, but then had too much overly sweet toppings. My kids may want one on a rare occasion, but I doubt I'll get one again. FYI, the breakfast sandwich is only served on weekends. Odd, I thought, I mean I have time to make my own on a weekend. ‍ The dining area is large, very charming with a friendly staff (really the reasons I gave it 3 stars rather than the 2 I would give it based on our food experience this morning). the staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. i came in for a breakfast sandwich I got the bacon sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and the cost was only 2 dollars more then the generic garbage you get at Mac Donald's and was vastly better quality. the seating is varied with tables for groups and comfortable chairs to drink your coffee and relax for a bit. over all fantastic experience and I will be back. read more
