The instructors really take their time to get to know their students and just as important they take their time to ensure all students understand the technique. Some gyms don't have enough instructors or staff to ensure you're getting the basics and the techniques. At this gym there is always someone to help you understand what you're doing whether it be another student or an instructor. Shout outs to the great instructors that show up for us, and the higher level belts that are always great sparring partners! I've only attended classes instructed by Chris, Noah, Jake, and Junior but there is plenty of knowledge to go around in the gym. And a big plus for me is they're military friendly and there are plenty of other students that are veterans.

The core group of guys that train regularly can and will roll with anyone without being meat heads smashing the new comers its an etiquette that some places need to adopt, in order to make the experience more enjoyable. Its an unwritten rule to not be harsh to the point of being brutish on any newcomer that is reinforced by everyone who trains here. The primary instructor Fernando does an excellent job teaching the basics to master the building blocks in this discipline, and is regularly sweating it out on the mats with all his students every single day that to me proves two facts which are hard to find in most martial art schools: humility and dedication to ones craft.
