In my experience everyone that works in this facility is honest, fair, they want to help people and they want them to be safe. This is the first and ONLY mechanic shop that I have been to as a woman where I wasn't treated like I was a dunce or less than. The employees here explain things in a way of informing you not persuading you or intimidating you with fear that if you don't complete the job something extraordinarily bad is going to happen. They give you realistic expectations on how much more you can drive until you need to really get it done which helps people that are on a budget. I think the prices are higher on average but the amount of service, attention, and thoroughness you get the price is very fair! I recommend this place to everyone I know especially women because I know how important it is to feel safe with mechanics and not like they are trying to get over on you! Some could not see me for days. While others wanted to charge me a $250 diagnostic (plug the meter and read the coded problems) fee. Carolina Auto Service said they would get the codes for free if I agreed to fix anything they would get compensated. I feel I was treated respectfully. I got to review to identified problems as well as sign off on the repairs with a known Fee amount. I will use this car care company for my future repair needs!

There are around 8-10 arcade cabinets and pinball machines lining the walls, all free to play, as well as retro consoles like an NES and Sega Dreamcast built into back hatch of a classic car. If you are just looking to relax, or get work done, there are couches, easy chairs, as well as a table with comfortable stools and chairs for working. Maybe best of all.. Free snacks. There was a basket of various chip and cookies bags, and a mini fridge of drinks. While all of that is NOT the main focus of why you are here, I appreciate the acknowledgement that, this part of life is not everyone's favorite thing. So making the customer as comfortable as possible while they wait, and not nickle and diming for things like playing a game or having a snack is a testament to that customer-centric focus. Anyway. Car stuff. You can tell these guys love working on cars, and that's the reason for them being here mainly while being able to make a living. The reason for my visit, is I had just recently bought a Volvo s60 PHEV and wanted an independent inspection before committing to keep it. Volvos, especially those with a hybrid system, require a trained eye so you can't trust just any shop to evaluate. Twin City Euro has at least 1 certified Volvo tech on staff, and were able to schedule me within my purchase window, so I came to them. They did a full evaluation of my car, and helped me notice a few relatively minor cosmetic things I had not seen at first (but didn't ultimately affect my purchase), including the most minute of windshield chips... which caught now can prevent a crack later (and be serviced by the place I purchased it free). Of course, they also took it for a drive and put it through it's paces mechanically, and checked for ongoing proper maintenance, ultimately giving it a clean bill of health. It put me at ease, and also made me know, I have found my shop of choice for when I need maintenance or repairs on this vehicle. I'll be back, and would recommend other European car owners look into them for their maintenance and repair needs.

These guys really saved the day. My car that I've had less than 6 months and already paid $1800 in…read morerepairs, decided to break down again...on my way to see my family for the holidays. After initially taking it to useless Flow Volkswagen (don't ever go there...for anything...), we took it to Twin City. And unlike Flow, who's mechanics must've trained on Tonka Toys, the guys at Twin City actually lifted the dern hood and actually put their hands on the engine. They were able to correctly diagnose the problem and sadly it was catastrophic engine failure. While disappointed, their owner offered a fair price for the car, and even told me he'd fix it up to help someone else out. Don't find many car shop owner willing to do that. Needless to say, the folks at Twin City won me over and I'll be bringing my newer used Volkswagen to them for it's regular oil change next month. My husband and daughter both took their cars there on a Sunday. Husband only needed a tune up and my daughter got a whole set of tires on hers. They always want to call not long after you've dropped the vehicle off with some type of upcharge. It's always you need this, that and then some. We get our vehicles serviced on the regular, so they shouldn't need more work done to them. There's a lot of new faces around, and it doesn't seem as if they know what they're doing. I was more confident when a manager name Jason used to be there, him and his crew were solid it seemed like. It's like you can't just drop it off for a regular oil change without them calling saying you need this and that done. Don't get me wrong, I understand certain services are needed, but every single time it's something else. They also don't go over the work that was done to your vehicle. Just hand you the bill and let you swipe your card. I will most definitely be looking elsewhere to have our vehicles serviced. This location has gone down hill from what we're used to.
