I used this florist twice, and both times were HORRIBLE experiences. First time I ordered flowers for a funeral. I specifically requested the flowers be deliver on a FRIDAY. They ended up delivering the flowers on a WEDNESDAY. I was unable to correct this error because I was flying in from out of state. So by the day of the funeral on Sunday, we had to pull out at least a third of the wilted, dying flowers. Against my better judgement, I ordered a second arrangement for a birthday a few months later. I went with a particular arrangement because it showed on the shop's website several peonies included. What I actually received was nowhere close. The arrangement had ONE peony that was wilted and brown on several of the petals. There are several other florists in the Fullerton area. I hired Flower Allie for my wedding, after they did my sister's wedding a couple years prior. I thought I would receive excellent service seeing as how our family was a repeat customer and my floral budget was a little larger than average. I was planning my wedding from New York at the time, and there were several red flags I wish I would have picked up on before signing the contract and paying the deposit (from a rude sales associate to difficulty scheduling an appointment with Allison to receiving another's bride quote and contract by accident). Once I paid the deposit and went forward with the planning phase, I was happy and really thought Allison understood the vision for my wedding. Then I had an appointment with her to go over all mock-ups and she missed it completely after confirming both via phone and email. I flew all the way from New York to go to this appointment and one other fitting for my dress, and Allison missed it completely due to personal reasons. Once I spoke with her, I understood the situation and of course said it was fine that we couldn't meet in person after all - even though the way it was handled was completely unprofessional. Then covid hit. Totally ruined my wedding and I know ruined so many wedding businesses, but Allison was the only vendor who would not work with me. She emailed me once to tell me the new date I was trying to pick was already taken. She was very rude and not understanding at all. I decided to cancel and go with another florist (who is an absolute dream to work with and so professional btw!! So blessing in disguise I guess). When I tried to contact with Allison, she completely ghosted me. Won't return my calls or emails. Won't let me know if I could use the $400 deposit towards other flowers for my bridal shower. Nothing. No response whatsoever. I'm just so sad I was treated this way even after Allison worked with my mom and sister at her wedding. While I know COVID had to hit her business hard, it also hit all of us brides really hard who have poured their time and savings into planning their special day. She got all my design ideas from me, had me email her my pinterest and ideas and was super nice. Then my work got crazy busy (and my wedding was over a year away) so I focused on other things for a short time and got an email that my Quote and Account with them was being deleted because they assumed I went with someone else. Our wedding process was a long one: We hired Allison back in 2019 with an original wedding date in the Spring of 2020. Through multiple date changes, pandemic, and brush fire scares, we finally settled on a date in late August of 2021. Allison was flexible in adjusting her availability every time we wearily asked again. After two years of having her "booked", it was finally time to start discussing preferences, requests, ideas, etc. I have to be honest: I was pleasantly surprised when I sat down with Allison for our mock trial. I was ready to start declining add ons or 'upsells', but Allison never even went there. In fact, she removed a few of the original items on the initial contract because she knew our venue was already lush in greenery and flowers. She would say "you don't need it, unless you want it" and I totally agreed! It is not often that a vendor reduces their fees by being honest in their opinions. I really appreciated and admired this about Allison. When the big day finally arrived, we honestly did not know what to expect when we arrived at the venue. Would the arch be full enough? Would the grounded florals for ceremony transition well to centerpieces for reception? Were the bridesmaids bouquets big enough? When we arrived the afternoon of the wedding, we were shocked at how beautiful everything already looked and it was not even 100% complete yet. We were delighted to see the ceremony set up, the arrangements neatly placed in our bridal quarters and grooms den, the cocktail hour tables, etc. It was beautiful! BUT we still didn't know how all of that would be flipped from ceremony to reception during cocktail hour without guests noticing... but it was done without a hitch! WE did not even notice the team flipping the space from one beautiful set up to the next! Allison and team are experts at their craft and our vision for clean, whites and greens everywhere were in full effect! It was exactly as we hoped for! Prior to signing our contract, everything was done via phone conference and emails. The contract she drew up even had our pinterest photos on it to indicate exactly what we wanted. When it came time to see our "mock up" in person at her store, we knew we picked the right florist. At our mock up of the large centerpiece and arrangements for the table, we saw how Allie and Jenny just got our vision right away. Both of them were very accommodating and helpful. She went as far as ordering the exact flowers we liked, which some of them had to be shipped from New Zealand because this time of year (autumn), it is hard to find these white and black anemone flowers in California. She also helped us save money in various ways: re-purposing florals from ceremony to the reception, and also being able to use her wonderful floating candles, votives, and lanterns. We did not have to pay extra for these things. We are so grateful to have had the chance to work with Allie and her team. If it's too good to be true, it probably is. I was over the moon when I had found a florist who was willing to design flowers for my wedding that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I had met with Allison early on in my planning process since I am planning from out of town and multiple times, she had assured me that my date was reserved on her calendar (I had asked several times if I needed to sign something to book her, but she said not to worry about it). However, 4 months after our initial meeting, when calling to follow up on my unanswered emails and unreturned messages I left, Allison tells us that she's booked our date with someone else. Her reason? There was too much back and forth and that she isn't good with paper/emails so we weren't a good fit and then abruptly hung up. 1) Most of the back and forth was really me chasing after her on email or calling her shop after she didn't return my calls for weeks. All I wanted was a contract to review and sign. 2) After receiving the contract, I only wanted one correction made which was to have the total added correctly (it was over what it should be) and she couldn't handle that (back to not good with paper comment). 3) Had she warned me about not being good on paper in the beginning, I would have adjusted and found a way to best communicate with her to make it work. Telling me after the fact isn't helpful. 4) Even so, a heads up that she was going to book with someone else after she had assured me more than once that she would do our flowers would have been nice. Com'mon, give me at least that much! (She broke up with us without telling us!!) My best guess? Allison dragged her feet with sealing the deal with us until someone with a bigger wedding budget came along (I saw from another Yelper that she even broke a contract to score a better gig). Know that Allison has received many great reviews, but still wanted to do my due diligence and warn other brides of the rude, unprofessional and unethical behavior that Allison is capable of. Seeing this place brought back the worst memory of my wedding. When I first hired Allison, I was really impressed with her arrangements. After I had put down my deposit and we had met a few times, I realized I needed to make some changes to lower the cost so I could remain within my budget. I had called Allison and asked if she could work with me on lowering the cost. Allison refused to lower the price as she had another wedding she could book in place of mine as this bride would provide her a much higher profit. Allison then declined to do my wedding because she did not want to lower the price. Allison initially would not return my deposit . After explaining to her that she essentially was dumping me as a client and breaking her agreement with me in order to be paid a higher amount by another bride, she agreed to return my deposit. I was so taken-back by how unprofessional she was by not keeping her commitment because of greed. The front lady shows her what we're looking to do which is 3 tall vases with floating candles and small hydrangeas in three different vases on the side. The hydrangeas are white and in a bushel of two. She looks at me and says "do you honestly think your can actually do this?!" I responded saying "I am pretty creative. The first wedding I worked on with Allie was also the first Bridezilla I encountered. I watched as Allie compared magazine pictures the Bride had given her to the work she had actually done. She made sure there was not a flower out of place. In the end, each arrangement looked like an identical copy of the pictures. They were unbelievably gorgeous! Given that it was a wedding for a Bridezilla, I will report that the Bride stated the arrangements were not the right size and that the flowers did not look as fresh as she had hoped. Overall their prices are very reasonable but their customer service lacks. First off, the quality of their communication was sporadic. Email responses were sometimes quick, and other times would just drop dead. The inconsistent email responses forced me to have to call in to follow up to make sure we were all on the same page. Every time I would call, I was playing phone tag where a lot of times they would take down my message and say they will call me back but didn't. It was unnecessarily stressful that I had to keep chasing them down just to make sure everything was on track. Are customers suppose to work like this?? (-1 star) The day before our photo session, I picked up my flowers and they were not what I told them I wanted nor was it what they said they would do for me. I had provided a picture of a bouquet that I fell in love and they said yes, they can do it. At that time, certain flowers were not in season and yet my bouquet showed it. I asked a second time to confirm that they indeed can do everything exactly in the bouquet picture and they said yes. But it wasn't. It would have been nice if they could have at least notified me about it beforehand (-1 star). But was still pretty and did the job so meh... After our photo session, I tried to discuss reception decor ideas with them. I sent an email and a week goes by without any response. Last year, I was a bridesmaid twice but carrying a Flower Allie bouquet once. I gotta say, her bouquets are sturdy. Plus the flowers stayed fresh all day, all night, and the I was able to enjoy it all week in a vase. Unfortunately, the other bouquet (from another florist) I carried started going limp even before the ceremony. Even worse, we had to pluck out flowers from our bridesmaid bouquets to replace the limp and fallen out flowers of the bride's! Then for all the photos, we had to remember to hold our bouquets a certain angle to hide the missing flowers. Completely absurd, and something a bride should never worry about. Just yesterday, my husband used the online ordering system to get valentines flowers delivered to both our mothers. One to a home & one to a business. He said it was quite easy to use, and he likes having the peace of mind of sending quality arrangements. We've tried the more popular (& economical) online companies, but the actual flowers delivered are never anything close to the posted photos. With Flower Allie, we know if it doesn't look exactly like the posted photo, it will actually be Better- Larger & Fuller! I don't mind spending more than $40 on a lei if it's awesome and unique but I'm also a person about them deals. Now with that said, I also want to say upfront, it takes a lot of me to get mad and actually write a bad yelp review. I'm the type of person who finds it grating to see people yell at restaurants or businesses for issues that are in no way the businesses' fault like not being able to get a cash refund for a credit card transaction or a restaurant being busy. What I can never excuse is another person being outwardly rude and condescending to me when I'm just speaking to them calmly and trying to clarify the situation. With that in mind, let's talk about Flower Allie, it's owner, and its workers. I bought a lei for my sister's graduation in June. There are a lot of cool leis nowadays and people are doing some crazy stuff with glitter glue and paint so you never know if something is true to its picture. I found Flower Allie on Yelp and then went on their webpage and found this: awesomely cool lavender pink lei. Being a responsible buyer, I thought, hey let's call the florist and see if it's legit -- also because there's two types of leis on this site with different names: 1) Double bombay orchid lei, which is the traditional purple you see; and this awesome one labeled 2) purple double orchid lei (here's their selection of leis: https://flowerallie.com/fullerton-florist-flower-delivery/?q=lei) So I called and a woman picked up. I said, hey, I'm on your website and I found two different leis on your site. One is a lighter purple (almost pink) and another is the traditional purple lei. They're labeled two different names. Can you confirm that they are two different flowers and the one I want is actually pink/lavender? The woman was an assistant and was confused so she asked her boss. He boss said that whatever is online is what they have. I know when I'm being written off so I asked again, can you confirm with me that this one I am putting an order for is a light purple and almost pink like your site has. The lady went back and forth with her boss and said yes. Guess what! My sister picked up the lei the next day and it was NOT the color I asked for. I talked on the phone with the owner and the assistant for a good 15 minutes to not have this exact situation arise. AT this point, I'm mad but it's no one's fault. It could just be a miscommunication on my part. So after, I ask if there's a way for me to switch it out since someone in my family already is getting the regular purple (which is why I called) and I don't want to double down. Allie or whoever is the owner is spoke to me. She said it was too late to get a bunch of flowers since they only had a few left. She reprimanded me and told me that most leis are only those colors and I should've know. She also thought it would nice to tell me that it would be hard for me to find such rare colors at that price range. Then she told me that she didn't have anything I could exchange it for sice I didn't want bright colors. Now I was mad. I told her never said I had a problem with bright flowers. I just wanted that particular lei. I have no idea why she was being so dismissive or that condescending to me. She treated me like I was some crazy person who didn't know how leis worked and didn't like any color. I told her I was frustrated that I called them 2 times the day I put the order in to confirm and was irritated that it seemed that no one even looked at the webpage I was referring to At this point, she told me she'd look at the website (which I don't know why they didn't do the first time) and then told me, " oh that flower you wanted is just an oversaturated photo. I guess I never fixed the website." So two things: 1. Their website is a lie and if you try to buy off it and confirm that what you see is what you'll get, you may not (only in regards to the purple) . She also said "most people just go on the best-seller page so I don't know why you were even on that picture." My advice: maybe update your website so you don't have misleading pictures or maybe actually listen to someone when they try to clarify with you. 2. I don't know if this just how their service is or if it's directly targeted at me because I am a minority but I did not appreciate their service, their snide comments, and the fact that they kept trying to blame me for what I would have easily dismissed as a lack of communication on their part. All I know is that I've never dealt wth ANY service that has ever treated me so poorly when I tried to calmly communicate about an issue. So if you're in a pinch, sure there's Flower Allie. If you have time, maybe find a better place. read more

Grade: A Allison blew me away with our flowers. I loved my bouquet, and the pink bouquets she created for the bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous. The altar arrangements were so lush and beautiful - I was truly amazed! The cake decor was as I had requested - very elegant. The chiffon fabric treatment was very pretty, and though Allison tells me that chiffon is very difficult with which to work, she did such a great job and I love how they looked in pictures. My only wish is that I had a larger budget for the centerpieces - something a bit more lush and full and with flowers that matched our bouquets. One or two tables were missing centerpieces only because the coordinator did not tell her which tables to skip (kids table and reserve table). The banquets manager gave her the incorrect information, so I was a bit sad to see that one table in particular was missing a centerpiece. I wish I had caught it earlier. I did not get to see a final mock centerpiece, but she did make a few samples along the way (not using the actual flowers or colors). I also do not know what happened to my mini bouquet/toss bouquet. We could not find this during the reception. Allison called me a week prior to let me know that she could order the peonies in July after all! A++ for this! She was willing to work within our budget and was always friendly at our meetings. She truly has a passion for her work and it shows! We have received a lot of accolades for the floral decor from families and friends. I had met with a number of vendors before booking Allison. Out of the florists, I felt that she would work with me best on customizing the flowers to what I had envisioned. She does not have cookie-cutter designs and listened well to everything I described and gave me her input and suggestions. She is very knowledgeable and works hard to make your wedding beautiful. Allison and her staff even took on some extra duties for a reasonable fee: placing on our satin wrap chair covers. Allison is a very busy woman; thus, most of the time, it was almost impossible to reach her. She had moments where she was available and e-mailing regularly and/or taking calls. Other times, my phone messages and e-mails were left unanswered for weeks on end. This would be the only area of improvement that I see. She is; however, very upfront about it all. She could probably use a staff person delegated solely to returning calls/e-mails because I am sure she receives tons of inquiries, especially since everyone loves her and she is so stretched at times. However, I do believe that a vendor should give his/her clients the courtesy of a return call/e-mail in a timely manner. On the plus side, she is yours the week before your wedding. Overall, we are super happy to have had Flower Allie as our dream floral vendor. We were all gushing over the flowers! Each time I think about the flowers, I smile remembering how beautiful they were and how much they added to the wedding day. Despite the difficulties in reaching Allison, I have no reservations recommending her fully to families and friends. Allison is booked pretty solid, so catch her while she is available!
