This was my first time using this florist. I have a friend that just lost her dad and a few days later had surgery. I wanted something nice but bright to hopefully bring a little cheer to her day. Tustin Florist did just that. I had ordered online but due to them having several large events over the weekend they were not able to create. And deliver on Monday as I had requested. They sent me a text asking if it was ok to deliver on Tuesday. I appreciate the communication rather just not delivering on Monday. Working with Henry was pleasant and easy. He really listened to our needs and did not try to upsell us on anything. We ordered bouquets, boutonnieres, and a corsage for our wedding and they truly came out so beautiful, more beautiful than I imagined and how we discussed. Why such a low rating then? Unfortunately, our order arrived around an hour late. Weddings are so stressful and have time constraints. Due to our floral order being late, I was unable to capture photos with my bouquet as a bride and group photos with my bridesmaids. My photos look soooo awkward and it makes me sad looking at our photos as our arms are just dangling around. It is obvious bouquets were missing. The person who was our day of help said they had difficulties communicating with the delivery driver and that he was not helpful or apologetic. Our wedding was on a Thursday with 2pm delivery, so there was not much traffic in OC. We also commuted from nearby Tustin Florist and were able to get to the venue in 23 minutes... So that makes me think they left after someone was finally able to get a hold of them. You know how there is one or two vendors that just bring down your special day? Henry has such a good eye for design. I cant even begin to understand how much planning goes into every arrangement and centerpiece for a wedding. Our White orchid archway was phenomenal. We chose mostly white flowers with pops of blue cornflower, thistle, and delphinium. We use lots of silver dollar eucalyptus. It was simple, clean, and elegant. I couldn't have asked for more! Our budget nearly tripled after we met and went over everything. I had no idea how expensive flowers would be so just be warned that it will cost more that you expect (in all fairness, i really didn't know what price to expect for a large venue for 150 guests). Once the final product is being set up, you see how much time and resources are put into the entire process. Seeing everything in pictures makes it all worth it. Henry (florist/owner) did my wedding flowers, and I was very happy with them. They were very fresh and beautiful, and we got a lot of compliment on our flowers arrangements. He is also very nice & patient and accomodating. Very easy to work with. And he also got good taste! After the deposit, he would do a trial section for you of what you requested, and if there's anything you don't like or want changed, he will fix it for you. I especially love my bridal bouquet and the 3 different type of table center pieces I got. I do wish the bridesmaid flowers and family boutonnières are nicer, since they were kind of small and generic. So that might be something that you can communicate with him if you want it to be nicer than the standard price ones. He's definitely capable of making it nicer, but I guess it'll cost more, too? And bringing pictures for him definitely help. I showed him a picture of what I want my bridal bouquet to look like and he did a very good job replication it with minor variation. And price wise, I think it's very reasonable price for the quality of florist arrangement you get. And his roses are way better quality than the costco ones. Before I always thought costco has pretty fresh and nice roses, but when we compared them side to side, you definitely can tell the difference in quality. I really hate to write a bad review because I had such great hopes of working with Tustin Florist. I obviously seem to be the exception as most people had a great experience. I had made my appointment via emails with Henry. But when I showed up for my appt, he said "I had another appointment today?" He explained that he remembered not putting a name on the calendar. Honestly, this wasnt a big deal to me as he was still able to make the appt, just a few mins later. The appt itself was great. I was really impressed with Henry's ideas and insight. He told me which flowers would hold up better than others, that ivory flowers are better than white because white ones are so delicate they will start to brown, things like that. I really appreciated the insight. He even showed me several floral samples and showed me and my mother his fridge area to show me different examples of flowers I could use. No other florist offered me this experience. He also had alot of picture examples, even though I had brought many of my own. Its been almost 2 weeks and I still havent received my quote. I emailed him about a week in, saying I was planning to make a decision really quickly and it took him 3-4 days to respond to that email. He said he would give me the quote the next day, and its been 3 days since then. So I decided to go with someone else. While I enjoyed working with him during the appointment, I would feel more comfortable having someone more reliable working on my flowers. One less thing I have to worry about on my wedding day. read more

He really knows his craft and you can tell he has had years of experience working in this industry. Henry and his team handled all of the flowers for our wedding, from floral headbands for the flower girls to wedding aisle bouquets to the reception centerpieces. We had two separate appointments with Henry. The first was an inspiration meeting with our wedding coordinator to understand what we were thinking. This was probably the best part of Tustin Florist. When you arrive at his shop in Orange he welcomes you into his private office where you have the opportunity to sit down with him and express to him what you want.
