I ordered flowers on Monday afternoon for delivery Tuesday to ensure that they would be at the funeral home first thing Wednesday morning when I arrived at 9 AM. By 9:15 am, I called and nobody answered the phone, although their website says they opened at 9 AM; by 9:15 Nobody was there to take my phone call? I had to leave a voicemail explaining how I purchased flowers two days prior for delivery and they were not at the funeral home. It was embarrassing having to have the decedents family get involved, trying to locate flowers that were to have already been there! I would recommend going with another florist to avoid the aggravation. 2* for having finally delivered a beautiful arrangement.... Late. read more

I walked in on a cold snowy day on the way to my moms birthday party, and looked for either a ready made bouquet or floral arrangement for her to have. They had a few arrangements in their cold case, and they were all beautiful! I chose a nice floral arrangement and it was $25 cheaper than I was expecting or what I had seen in local florist shops near me. The quality was great, as was the staff, who also offered to make a bouquet or arrangement on the fly for me. It's great to know they're on the way to moms house so I can stop in as needed to treat Mom with something nice whenever I need! read more

Believe me when I say, the owner Joanne doesn't care about your business. Seriously tell her you are unhappy with something and she will ARGUE with you. They don't listen to what you want. They made the arrangements a day early, they called and said they were ready. I said it's too early, my pick up is THURSDAY AT NOON... Celeste said the bouquets would be in the display case to keep them cold. NOPE. 11:40 and they are just NOW making the arrangements. I selected a sympathy floral arrangement, called Divine Peace Bouquet (the premiere floral) and it had a crystal cross in it for a keepsake for the family. My wake for my uncle was yesterday and when I saw what the florist put together I was surprised. It did not look like the premium selection that I paid for. It had a figurine in it not the cross. The card was not typed out but written in bad handwriting. This florist was rated 5 star and I was not happy or satisfied with the final product at all. It was not a cheap amount and I expected more. Terrible service and even worse arrangements. Ordered a sympathy bouquet. The Teleflora add showed it in a round white glass vase with all white flowers. Listed dimensions of the bouquet were 35" tall and 31" wide. When it showed up LATE,even though it was ordered two days in advance and they are located across the street from the chapel, it was in a brown ceramic pot and about 24" tall and 18" wide. It was an absolute disgrace and looked like I spent about $30. When I called the store, I was told "we didn't have that vase in stock so we substituted. And we followed the prescription to arrange the flowers" Really - a substitute for a white round glass vase is a brown ceramic pot?!!! My brother ordered from same place and spent considerably more than me. His arrangement too was a disgrace. All the other arrangements were twice the size of ours and found out most paid about half of what we did. I will never order from this place again. read more

The Best Flowers Ever! I have ordered flowers from this florist several times before and every time they arrive, they are just gorgeous! Not only does this company have beautiful flowers but excellent customer service. If ever there is an error, they have discounted my flowers or thrown in something extra at no cost. When I call in to speak with someone or change an order it is never a problem and they are able to do anything I ask. They have created several custom creations for me including adding stuffed animals and fruit to a gift basket to make it EXTRA SPECIAL. If I am ever looking for just the right gift for a friend or family member I will head to Flower Fantasy to make my purchase. NO QUESTION. read more

Use to recommend these guys but the last two times I used them the service was HORRIBLE !!!! Asked for my mom's flowers to be deliverers by noon as we were taking her out for her birthday and the flowers came late and were very wilted quickly They are literally 5 blocks from her house. Then I recommended them for a good friends wedding and they were late so their formal pre ceremony pictures had no flowers. Awful service! I used them a couple months ago for a christening order and had a pick up time arranged. When I arrived at the store it was closed and my flowers were left at the business next door. I decided to give them another chance today for another order. Their signs say open at 9:00 am they have an open sign it's lit up yet no one is in the store no one answers the calls. Definitely not recommend or and will not be returning. I'm surprised they are still in business. Especially since everything else is the plaza is closing. read more

I used them many times to send flowers to my mother in Norridge, she was alway happy and thy did a good job. Recently set flowers for Valentines Day that she didn't receive. I called them and she insisted they were delivered, and she had a signature but would talk to the driver and call me. After i hung up I went though my mothers ring videos and there was nothing. I called them she said she was sorry and asked if she can send another arrangement I said that would be fine. when they came they were nothing like the ones I ordered and certainly not the same price. I called to tell them I was unhappy with the flowers ! she said the owner would call me back. Never happened! If you like wasting your money and want an embarrassing looking floral arrangement for a funeral then go ahead and order from Flower Fantasy. First, they were delivered one hour late and the funeral home was across the street from Flower Fantasy. Second, as the flowers were being delivered the arrangement was falling apart and the delivery man had to pick up the flowers from the floor and put them back in the bouquet. Compared to the other arrangements (and there were 19 other arrangements at the wake) it was disappointing and embarrassing as family members sending an arrangement for our condolences. I don't know who put our arrangement together, but there was no thought or concern for our order. It was a shame because it had the potential to be beautiful. I have attached a picture that was taken off of the Flower Fantasy website and what our arrangement looked like. You can literally COUNT the amount of flowers in our arrangement. Ours didn't resemble what it SHOULD have looked like according to the website. So disappointing; a waste of time, money and resources. read more

This review is long overdue! We used Flower Fantasy for our Wedding last August, 2018. We worked one on one with Joanne. The flowers were on time and beyond beautiful. From the bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, the center pieces, the decor, the church pieces and my bridal bouquet. It was beyond perfect. Shame on me for not shopping around . I thought after many years of knowing this florist and other family members used her in the past as did I for my own wedding. When my daughter got married I thought Joanne the owner would take more pride in the bouquets that she had made for the bridal party. The bride's was pretty but the as for the rest very disappointed they were so small there was nothing to them . They were dying and falling apart with an hour of them being delivered to us. You would think that during a pandemic you would take of the customers that are giving you business let alone the ones that keep giving repeat business. What really is dis hearting is that not only Where our Bouquets dying they were cheaply made they were taped up with dollar store ribbon I paid close to $2000 for garbage flowers I got a better deal at jewel and she supposed to be a florist I would NEVER RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!!! I have 4 other children that one day will get married and she has lost our business for ever and everyone I talk to I will let them know how disappointed I was . I have a HUGE Italian family and and if one of us is not happy word gets around fast !! I hate to add on to the bad reviews..but my first and last experience was just not good. I ordered one of their "best sellers' bouquet for $34 and though they did have it ready when they said they would, the QUALITY of the flowers were just atrocious..I dont know how old they were..but they were definetely not fresh. When I pointed out that the flowers looked nothing like the picture on their site, they just scoffed at me and said that they were. I was not about to pay $34 for flowers that looked like they would die the next day...but they refused to bring the price down. Although they were nice about it when I told them I wouldnt be purchasing them, I wouldve been very upset had they been delivered..so I guess its a good thing I went to pick them up and was able to see the poor quality. This place doesn't even deserve one star based on the terrible experience I had. Its pretty sad that I'm giving this place a review before they've even had a chance to show me what kind of flowers they can put together for me. They were recommended to me through a friend, so I called to check availability for my wedding. The woman who answers the phone - who clearly has no training in speaking professionally, tells me Joanne (the owner) is only available to meet on Tuesday evenings. So, first I'm thinking, wow thats pretty selective about scheduling consultations...only 1 day per week? I call a week later b/c I have an uneasy feeling that the woman did not write it down. Well - my hunch was right. Some other woman answers the phone and says - no, you aren't on the calendar, and Joanne's not even here on Tuesdays anyway.....WHAT?? Clearly these people do not communicate. So I schedule it for Wednesday. I just called to confirm my appt and once again, the incompetent idiot answers the phone and says - no you are not on the calendar. So I go ballistic - and they transfer me to another lady who says - oh, you are on the calendar, but I'm not sure if Joanne will be able to meet with you since she might be really busy that day with funerals. So - let me get this straight, I'm supposed to put my schedule on hold to see if she MIGHT be able to meet with me? I guess they are just so influxed with business that they think its OK to treat potential customers this way? You would think this woman is florist to the Stars or something. Good luck getting business when you run a shop like this. I'm taking my business elsewhere. I would not trust them with my wedding nor any other kind of event. Ordered a boutonnierre for my daughters homecoming date last Thursday. My sister brought in the dress, which was purple and black. She was told that they couldn't dye the rose that dark, that it would look good, but they would make it pretty. Told us to pick it up Saturday at noon. My husband called to see what time they were open until, and at that time, they said "you are not supposed to be picking it up until noon:" He said he knew, but that he was working and would be there later. He got there and they said they didn't know anything about picking up a flower at noon, they only had an order for "ann" for 11. In truth, they didn't have anything ready...because they went in back, dipped SOME of the tips of a white rose in purple, and brought out a horrible looking item ten minutes later. I went to Jewel, where they saved my day. I will NEVER go back here again!!! read more

Horrible experience with this florist. My daughter ordered a flower arrangement which was to arrive for Mother's Day! Delivery man attempted delivery on sat and left a message on my vmail. I did not get the message until Sunday. I called the florist asking why they didn't call the sender to let them know of the attempted delivery. Very rudely she said " we don't do that". She made no effort to try to have the flowers delivered on Mother's Day. The only alternative she gave me was to pick it up!!, I was furious! You would think that before dispatching the truck that morning they would have attempted to call me. The only alternative she gave me was to have it delivered on Monday!!! What's the point! Twice I have used flower fantasy and they have NEVER let me down. This last time I actually called last minute (just after 9am on the same day of the wake). They were very helpful. They made up the arrangement that I wanted, it matched the colors picked by the family of the deceased and the arrangement was huge for the money paid. WARNING. Do not. I repeat. Do not use this florist. They are just horrible! We ordered a housewarming gift which arrived more than a week LATE! Delivery was promised again and again as they strung us along. Several dates and times were set over 9 days and, although we rearranged our schedules to be there for each promised time, none of those appointments were ever kept. I can't imagine trusting them with a time sensitive project like a wedding, party or funeral. When we got angry about the late delivery and the utter lack of communication, including ignoring numerous texts, emails and calls, we got a litany of excuses including sick employees and a lost phone. Beside their pity parade, we also got ATTITUDE, that WE should be more understanding. SO unprofessional! Our order was for a basket of flowers AND fruit. What we eventually got was impressive only in its overwhelming size. It was a HUGE basket full of jumbled plants that looked thrown together earlier that day and there was NO fruit at all. We wish we could rate this place a zero or less, but instead well just recommend you call someone else, who understands the meaning of customer service and how to get orders fulfilled well, as promised and on time. read more

Does this crap only happen to me. I ordered some flowers for a good friend of mine that passed. I did it on line because the florist was right across the street. I recieved to confirmation so all was good. I get to the wake and I'm looking around an not seeing my flowers. I thought they might have sent the wrong arrangement. So here I am poking around looking at all the cards. Nope! So I go up to my friends wife and ask if they had gotten my flowers. What a Jack Ass I looked like when she said no. Now what? Should I be a dick and go back to show them my confirmation number. Right! I bolt out of there so I can find a computer. Thinking maybe I put the wrong date on it. Nope! It wasn't me. I call the joint and ask what happened to the flowers. The first lady I spoke to couldn't understand a thing I was saying. My english must not be so good. But she told me they were delivered and I was mistaken. The second lady I spoke to told me they were delivered to the wrong place. The guy that got on the phone after the brides of Frankenstein, told me that they never recieved the print out. Funny that it was e-mailed to you and it was up to your crack heads to actually print it out. But he told me that he could make one and run it over there. That's just great. I now look like I left there and bought flowers. WTF! I got a ticket on my way home, so it really wasn't my day. read more

Yesterday, one of our clients was getting engaged and had asked our company to have flowers ready for him that he had ordered from a flower shop right down the street from our office. I called the flower shop, only to find out that 1. The manager wasn't around - 2. They were closing early. - 3. That the flowers were on their way even tho they were scheduled to be dropped off no later then noon and it was already 4:30. - 4.I offered the woman on the phone a false name after I realized she was lying , and she told me that the flowers for the "false name" i mentioned were on their way to get delivered. -5. The woman barely spoke English & refused to give me the number to a manager or the driver who supposedly was about to deliver the flowers. It is now 8:00am the following morning & the flowers are still not here. Such a shame to see a local business treating their neighbors with such disloyalty. read more

I don't understand what all the negative reviews are about. I guess some people will never be happy. On Friday February 28th, my sister was getting married. When her florist never showed up, we were in a jam. The ceremony was at 630. I called Flower Fantasy at 505 pm. I spoke to Joanne. She told me to start heading to her shop. When I arrived at 520 pm Joanne was just finishing up the touches on a absolutely beautiful bouquet of at least 2 dozen white roses, and a boutonniere for the groom. Joanne went above and beyond what a typical owner usually does. She stayed past closing, and absolutely refused a $20 tip. Her professionalism, her talent, and most of all her willingness to go above and beyond is an obvious gesture towards her way of running a business, for 20 years. Joanne saved my sisters sanity during her wedding day, and because of this, I'm forever grateful. read more

I used Flower Fantasy for my May 2013 wedding after getting referred to them by a friend who always had a good experience. This was the FIRST florist that listened to what I wanted and said she could do it! Every other florist either didn't give my an idea of what my flowers would look like or told me no that's not how I would do your flowers. My flowers arrived at all 3 locations (my house, the church and the reception hall) on time. The flowers looked BEAUTIFUL. They lasted all night and even longer. My mother ordered sympathy flowers for my uncle who passed away. The funeral home was across the street, and this was the second time flowers were ordered from this florist. Both times have been disappointing. For $150 we expected much more. The flowers were skimpy, the greens were thin and small. Compared to the other flower arrangements there, ours looked cheap. I wrote a complaint letter to the florist and have not heard any response nor has my mother. I will never recommend or order flowers from there again. read more

The only positive thing I can say is the flowers provided are good condition/pretty. When working with Joanne, if I asked her a question regarding price, she got very defensive and had attitude. I asked to break out the prices so I could adjust my budget accordingly and she couldn't do that. The WORST thing was she showed up to the venue on my wedding day 2 hours late and did not call myself or the hall to inform us her van broke down. Understandable, stuff like that happens, but no one knew where she was and she finally got there and was setting up while guests were there so we could not have a receiving line. Actually, worse than that she did NOT call to apologize or offer to refund any money, which is absolutely unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate. How can you call yourself a professional and not have the decency to pick up the phone to apologize to a customer that almost paid $2000...absolutely ridiculous. I would NEVER use Joanne's services again nor recommend her to anyone. I was also told she wasn't able to get the color guava flowers, however I have seen those colors in flowers before and it seemed she didnt want to put the time to look for it. TERRIBLE read more
