I made the mistake of ordering flowers over the phone. Firstly, the card and the words that I wanted to communicate to my darling wife were completely screwed up, these things are important! I repeated the phrase and spelt out each word, I want to say eight or nine times. The result could not have been more different. I understand, support, and fully respect anyone who is learning a new language, however, it is necessary for the person to be taking your telephone order to write the desired words in English on the card, (or at least have it checked by someone else) that I believe is what we pay for, right? Apart from the dreadful spelling and even getting her surname incorrect (which was written on the credit card, they got that right!) the flowers were appalling. When I arrived home and saw what I had paid for and realised that $50 plus $10 delivery was just enough to pay for four roses, and three or four sprigs of lilies, perhaps just eight in bloom and some green stuff to pad out the display, nothing else. That's less that $8 in flowers I felt thoroughly ripped off and I felt like a fool for trusting them. On the subject of delivery, I had purposely moved the delivery 24 hours in order to have the delivery at 6 PM (not 1.30/2pm) which did not work for me the day before. How dare you assume that you can deliver them at a different time to what was agreed, how do you know what other things are at play? Why would you do that? I've paid the delivery to have them delivered at 6 PM and that is what we agreed, nope you thought 2pm was fine. I am not even sure why I have given two stars, I can't think of one good thing to say, oh wait, yes i can, adios! read more

Do not buy flowers from Flowerville in Park Ridge, IL. My sister bought these hydrangeas from them as a condolence gift after my husband's father died last week. They left them on our front porch for 4 days before we were notified by my neighbors. A quick call to the florist and they refused to replace the plant because they said it wasn't their fault I was on vacation. I explained that my sister didn't know we were out of town, so she couldn't tell them we were out of town. They refused to do anything.
