I had high hopes for this place especially with the GREAT reviews on yelp. Now I don't know if that's because they give you a discount on your follow up visit for a "good review" but unfortunately this did not work for me. I got my nails done here on Saturday afternoon. I have a photo shoot tomorrow (Tuesday) so I really wanted them looking fresh. The place was a little busy but they got my mom and myself seated pretty quick. I got a manicure and my mom just wanted her nails cut and buffed. After waiting almost 30 minutes after being seated, they finally started on my nails. My tek kept getting back up to start on other people or to take money - it appeared she wore many hats. They were busy after all. Anyway, she put 3 coats on (no gel) but it was inconsistent and each time she left to do something else so I think it had a little time to dry. The issue being the polish is lighter in some places and then doesn't cover the whole nail in others. It just doesn't look good up close. I'm hoping it's not noticeable in my photos (which is the ONLY reason I got them done). I've had my nails done for many years before and stopped going because of the time and commitment but this just wasn't up to par. My mom got started after I was done and she was done pretty quick but her nails were all different lengths and they weren't evenly filed. For a two hour endeavor, I expected a little more. Next time we'll do a little more research when picking our nail salon. Maybe it was a bad day for them, or we should have made an appointment I just wish they would have paid a little more attention to detail. Price: $17 manicure with polish. read more

I came here to get a simple dip nail on my fingers. That's it. This was the worst nail service I've ever had in my entire life and that's an understatement. The woman who did my nails was clearly overworked and stressed. She was very aggressive and rough with my hands, yanking my hands, cut every single one of my fingers multiple times over & over with the tools, completely ruined the shape of my nails that are all uneven, botched the paint job, and took TWO HOURS to do all of this. Not to mention half of my nails chipped off 2 days later and I refuse to go back to get them fixed because my fingers are in so much pain from cutting me over and over and then pouring alcohol and acetone all over my open wounds. It was also not sanitary. She was re-using tools over my blood and cleaning the powder off my bleeding fingers with the brush, meaning she will be cleaning the next person's fingers/hands off with that brush after going over my bleeding fingers with it. I visited this place last Friday and it's amazing. I'll start by saying everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I declined a beverage (water, soda, wine, beer) because I don't feel comfortable with Covid, but it was offered multiple times. I can honestly say I got The best pedicure I had since moving to Texas (about a year ago). I had a reservation for dip mani and pedicure. I'm attaching a pic of the mani. I spent time searching online because I'm new to Flower Mound. I picked this location out of every other nail salon. I spent a total of $130. I specifically asked for an ombré on my nails and I also had a gel on a $60 pedicure. I was polite, friendly, and even gave them advice on a product I use to stay in shape because they complimented me in my "body shape". As the lady said. They wanted to take a picture of the product I shared on my phone, also took the time to look it up on their phone which I guided them through to find it online, and to me it ultimately showed they had more of an interest in what I use to stay thin rather than "the picture I wanted my nails to look like". I'm well aware that nothing is perfect, or can be identical but my nails DON'T look anything like the picture I tried to show them. They spoke a lot of their language during and while I had my services done. I'm very disappointed in my nails. I am posting a picture of what my nails look like and what I specifically asked for. Yes, those are real oranges:) I'm not going to lie, I've got bad feet, especially my toes. I recently moved to this area and, this place stood apart from other Yelp reviews I read. In particular, one review mentioned how employees do not yell across the room, which sadly so many other places fall prey to. Flower Mound Nail Spa is slightly larger than most spas of this nature, and has a very elegant look and style, but nothing too lavish. True to the claim, this spa is mostly a very quiet establishment and one of the most professional nail spas I have been to. So many similar spas are very raucous, allowing their employees to speak very loudly across the room to their colleagues and/or even customers. - not at this spa:) Further, this place has some of the best massage chairs I've reclined, including integrated chair controls without having to fumble for a remote that is usually Velcroed to the armrest. As for my pedicure, it was top notch, though I must admit, I was in such a relaxed state of mind, I can't recall all the details other than the wonderful smell of real oranges they used on my feet and legs and the funny jest near the end, where one of the nail techs asked me if I wanted black toe nail polish in spirit of Halloween. I politely declined that offer;) Again, I'm always about customer service, which greatly impacts my reviews. Tiffany is one of the owners of this spa and attended my every need as well as the other customers, always with a sense of urgency and smile on her face. I was hoping to use the Yelp check-in discount they were currently advertising, but she informed me that was only for certain spa treatments. That said, she saw my grimace and honored the discount in any case, which I wasn't expecting for such a high class spa. Truly spectacular customer service! My mom and I went to get our nails done. Her technician offered her a glass of wine while she got a pedicure. When she was finished with her glass of wine another technician took her glass to the hand washing sink, rinsed it with water only, and put it back in the wine fridge to be used for another guest. Then when she was finished with her pedicure her technician used the towel that her feet were propped on and that had her dead skin on to wipe down another chair. They were not practicing any CDC guidelines as for the 6 feet. They were seating guests side by side. Plus they were also not washing hands in between guests. read more

I have a confession. I have been to FMNS for months now, but hesitate to write a review because I was afraid once people find out how awesome Tiffani (owner) is she will get booked up. Then, she wouldn't be able to squeeze me in. Selfish, I know. I first tried 3D lashes with Tiffani back in October. I must say, it is the BEST my lash extensions has EVER looked! I've had lash extensions done elsewhere over the course of several years, but it has never looked this full, this natural, and it doesn't weigh down my eyes. I'm addicted. Had my lashes refilled again for my wedding day. I was a happy bride. If you take a look at my photo on Yelp (the BEFORE pic) you wouldn't think I could ever have full-looking lashes. My lashes are really thin and sparse. Check out the AFTER photo and you will be amazed. I definitely was. Saves you time getting ready in the morning too (curling your lashes, applying mascara). Tiffani and her staff are awesome. There is a slight language barrier amongst her nail techs, but the ladies/men there are good at what they do. Just make sure to specify what service you would like done so they can determine which staff member specializes in what to make sure you are happy. I've had gel nails done here and it lasted for weeks. Love the decor here too. read more

For my dad's birthday, he wanted to get a pedicure. This salon was nearby and in the Kroger grocery store which we had to go to after. I called to see if walk-ins were ok but they were by appointment only. Luckily they were able to give us an appointment right away! When we arrived, we were greeted immediately. They showed us to our massage chairs and offered us some wine. We decided to get the Spa Pedicures. The pedicure was amazing, and the foot/leg massage relieved any stress my dad had in his legs. I've given this place s few tries. The first time was nice but they forgot about my manicure until I was about to leave after the pedicure. The second time was great. The third time was not good - the pedicure was ok but the gel manicure is awful. The lady cut my nails down too far and got polish all over my cuticles. I would do my own nails if that's the result I wanted. The space is nicely decorated and they seem to be very sanitary. But the quality of work is hit or miss. read more

Amazing experience! I want to hear to get a manicure simply because they had a 10% off discount for new customers as well as it's very close to my house. That being said they did the best job ever! When picking out a gel color I accidentally chose a powder color but after they explained what the difference was (powder instead of nail polish that last longer than gel and is much easier to take off - $5 extra) I went with it. I'm glad I did! The process took a little bit longer but the detail the technician took on my nails was the best. And it came out perfect! Again I cannot recommend this place enough read more

To my delight- I experienced Tammy at Flower Mound Nail Spa. For me it all starts with the initial phone call to a business. It usually takes me less than ten seconds to determine the attitude and outlook on not only how they feel about their place of work; but how they would treat me as a potential client. When Tammy answered the phone- she was polite, very knowledgeable and I truly felt her passion and desire to have me come in to her salon....and that is exactly what I did. James- I believe his name is- did my french nail dip and was excellent ( and trust me...I am a perfectionist!! ). He has a technique I had never seen before as well. Tammy did my pedicure and was so gentle removing ingrown skin which- if in the wrong hands can be VERY painful indeed!! First off, I have never gotten a pedi and left with TWO (not one but TWO) nicks on my toes. It burned so bad when they sprayed the alcohol and then the hot wax, this was the most miserable Pedi. In addition I have never gotten a pedi which cost $69.00! They charged me an extra $35 to get the gel on my toes. When I asked they did not tell me it was $35 ON TOP OF the $30 for the pedi! and then there was the art work...it was so bad I asked them to just remove it and went to ANOTHER salon who did the art work. Came here for a pedi and dip at 1:10 and sat for almost an hour with my feet in water before anyone started pedicure. Guy finished lady's nails beside me and then went over to start a pedicure on a lady that came in 45 mins after me instead of starting on my nails. It is now 2:50pm. Canceled the nails and told them to finish up on the pedicure I was leaving. Not one person in here cares about customer service, just deceiving you into thinking they are gonna start the service but then make you sit so you can't leave. Bought a groupon for this salon, and decided to use it while my favorite nail tech at another salon is in Vietnam for 2-3 months. I was pleasantly surprised with FM Nail Spa. I first walked into the massage salon, and the kind owner's husband walked me 2-3 doors down to the nail salon building...so they share two spots. Complimentary drinks were offered upon arrival, which is always a nice touch. I immediately noticed the pretty decor, sort of an old-world style. Looked very clean. Good music playing for the ears, and flat screen tv's with Food network (a favorite) muted. My nail tech was a sweet American gal who has a great personality and we chatted most of the time. I made an appointment for a pedicure on a Saturday at 9:30. I didn't want to walk in just as they opened at 9:00. I showed up with my daughter at 9:20 and the place is deserted. We call and a half asleep person answers the phone. They said they were open, well it's after 9:30 and still no one is even turned on the lights. Nice and clean. I moved to this nail place when my nail tech Christina moved there about a year ago. It is much nicer than the last place (Nail Luxury in Lewisville). I love my Christina. She always takes great care of me and everyone is so friendly.. The TV's are usually on the Food Network which is great, but I seriously want to help them "accidentally" lose their Michael Buble CD. 1. I love how the ladies and men do not yell across the salon. I love how they don't make it known that I am Viet. 2. Mani/pedi was awesome. The lady that did my pedicure was very nice and not standoffish. She did a wonderful job for just a standard/basic pedicure. She didn't ask for my ethnicity. The lady that did my manicure was nice, but she rubbed me the wrong way. I solely do not go to a Vietnamese-owned salon primarily bc I don't wanna get hassled with 10,000 q's. She asked me if I am Viet or Chinese? I replied Viet. She replied, "well just talk in Vietnamese so it would be faster." Maybe I misinterpreted her good intentions.. While the ladies were working on my hands and feet, the manicurist was holding up the polish, so the "pedicurist" had to ask her to hurry up a bit. 3. I was checking out by the "pedicurist" and the manicurist was saying a bit loud to charge me $15 for my manicure, when the brochure by the cash register said "combination package $40." I was jipped by $2 but I mainly just wanted to tip the lady that did my pedicure. I love this place. I would love to come back, but #3's incident would prevent me from coming back. As i've stated, everyone was nice.. salon is clean... i did notice that when i came in, it was a bit slow, and i'm going to assume that she's, the co-owner (b/c she pride in the salon), asked the workers that didn't have clients to help her organized the salon up a bit and no one helped her.. except for one person.. I'm pretty plain jane. I don't want anything special. But I do recommend that for pedicures to scrub a little longer, even if it is a minute. I understand that the basic pedicure gets you almost nothing, but i have gone to a different salon where i would leave and my feet do not feel like it's been scabbed up. read more

DISHONEST!!! Got a gift card February of 2020 - right before Pandemic Central. Tried using today, a little over a year, and they are not accepting and are telling me it's expired??? None of these places were even open for a good bit of the year AND this isn't really a place I'm going to run to during the height of all the virus insanity. I think this is BS and I think they are taking advantage. Is this illegal?? I'm all for small business, I have my own small business but this is pathetic. My tech, Emily is fantastic and that's why 2 stars. The owner, not so great. She offered me $5 off???? How about you give me $45 off, you know, for my gift certificate!!!
