What A Shame! You'll have better luck getting flowers from the grocery store! My family ordered flowers for me for my birthday through a floral service and Flower Petal Boutique fulfilled the order. The flowers were delivered on July 27th and here we are a few days later and the flowers are just about completely done for. I noticed the arrangement looked a bit wilted and the water was cloudy when I received them, however, who wants to spend their birthday calling and complaining? I did not expect the flowers to get worse and worse as the days went by but finally I decided to call in about them today (just a few days from when they were delivered). I spoke with the "manager" "Tina" and she immediately went to say to call the 3rd party that the order was placed with. Instead of taking accountability for the floral shop's work or even APOLOGIZING, she just wanted to hurry up and get off the phone by saying there is nothing she can do. It is understandable that some things need to be handled via how/where the order was originally taken, however, not taking responsibility for having poor quality flowers delivered is absurd. I don't even want to give them one star. My daughter is getting married this month. We ordered flowers from Flower Petal Boutique end of December, just a few days before new years. After our appointment we had questions so my daughter and myself called on several occasions. Not one time did they answer. It went to a voicemail that said it was full. By mid February we were getting nervous so we dropped in. The lady said it was a busy month so they weren't taking calls. She assured us that she had our requests and answered our few questions; delivery time, set up, final payment. We paid the balance of the order in full and left feeling comfortable that it was just a bad month, short staffed atValentines. Late April to early May, we had more questions, cake flowers, count changes for the wedding party, etc. We tried multiple times to call and again, no answer. On our last attempt to call (5/9/24) the phone was answered by a recording telling me "Congratulations! You've just won, press 1 now to accept your prize. If not, hang up." I tried again, maybe I dialed wrong. Same result. I pressed one and it hung up on me. I looked on their website and it says permanently closed. We began to panic. We went to the shop in person around 3:45p and the lights were off and doors locked. At this point we're a week out and I'm thinking, that's it... no flowers for the wedding or I shop a new florist. That's what we did, a new florist worked with us for hours on the phone, text and email to send me a new proposal with exactly what we needed. I reached out to them again today and they replied immediately ensuring me timely delivery and set up. I ordered a nice valentine's themed arrangement, picked a Valentine's Day themed card and purchased a Valentine's Day balloon to go with. Ordered flowers from here first time, wanted to support local florist. flowers arrived very thirsty, wilted and petals were half eaten up. They looked like they were a week old. Huge empty spots in arrangement. I was embarrassed to give to recipient. Honestly Whole Foods or Trader Joes has better flowers. And i ordered the premium arrangement. When i called they were basically like sorry but we put as maybe flowers in as required. It wasn't until I insisted they see the pictures of the bouquet. Then they called me back and said yes it must have fell in transit, so offered to SWAP out the old for the new. Which is fine, but good customer service would have been to say just toss or keep the other arrangement. I felt like by swapping they were implying we were trying to get something for free. When they delivered the new arrangement it wasnt that big of a difference except there were no big empty spots. It certainly did NOT look like a $125 arrangement. We switched out the flowers and the recipient wasnt at her desk when we did and at the end of they day she said i guess they are not going to come. Very highly recommend these florists. Incredibly friendly staff. They were so sweet with my daughter who was very excited to be a flower girl, giving her a carnation as a gift on our way out. The bride asked for a blue bouquet. The florists brought to me blue Delphinium mentioning they were receiving more the next day. Today is our 7th year anniversary and since I've been so busy with work, I ordered from their website instead. I chose the "FTD Sweet Surprises Bouquet" and upgraded it to deluxe for more flowers. It was delivered around 12:00 PM. Got a message from my wife thanking me and with it were photos of her flowers. It did not look like the one from the website at all. I understand that it will not be exactly as the one from the photo, and I am no flower expert, but this one looks really different. It also did not seem like it was upgraded to deluxe because there were very few flowers in the arrangement. I seriously hate complaining because I don't want people getting in trouble because of me... but it's our anniversary, so this is an exception. So why 5 stars? I sent the business an email and got a reply right away from Kim. She was apologetic and explained that they were out of pink mini carnations and they had to sub with pink roses. She also said they could swap the arrangement and try to deliver within the day. She sent me a photo of the new arrangement before heading out for delivery. Day is made! Stellar customer service. Looks like they ran out of nice flowers the day I chose the premium option, won't be ordering from here again. I spent 140 on daisies, babies breath, carnations, and roses which are not premium. Whoever emailed me the photo initially sent me a completely bare bouquet and I called and asked why it looked so sad, the response was, "oh we didn't realize you upgraded". So had I not been on my email I would have spent 140 dollars on what looks like it was from Vons and that would have been sent to the recipient. They "added" flowers to it and it still looked bad, then they offered to remake it and it still wasn't a premium bouquet, unless they have different standards for premium. I won't be ordering from here again nor will I recommend it to friends, your customers shouldn't be shocked and disappointed when they see the photo of flowers going to a loved one they should be excited. Just to comment on owners below commentary, I called THREE times and you fixed it over and over and still put cheap flowers in, how many times was I supposed to call?! There is a point where you say thank you and just move on. I didn't spend 90 I spent nearly 140 with all your fees, delivery, and tip, please don't make it try to seem less because someone was unsatisfied, also even if I did pay just $90, that is still a lot of money. read more

Honestly wish they sent pictures of the arrangement prior to sending it out but maybe I'm just spoiled by the floral shops down in CA. I like to see my arrangements before delivery in case they try to send some sketchy arrangement that looks nothing like the photos on the website. Once I ordered I received an email confirmation but there was no information stating if I'd receive a notice after they had been delivered so I actually had to call the shop to confirm. They messed up the birthday card & left my friend a confused mess because she didn't know anyone by the name that was written on the card. I ordered a bouquet and was aware that with how busy Mother's Day was plus impact of COVID-19, the bouquet may not look how it's pictured online. However, the color was completely off, most flowers were yellow. What was pictured online was a mainly pink bouquet. Also, I don't believe I received a call when the flowers were left? I received a missed call during my meeting from a (313) number an hour before the delivery email came through, but again no voicemail. Assumed it was spam too. I was stuck in meetings in the morning so finally called my grandma ~2 hours after I got the delivery email so she could find them outside her front door. *EDIT: leaving an updated rating to 5 stars! Kim from the shop saw my review and very quickly worked to resolve the issue (grandma had the wrong bouquet delivered). She had the right bouquet delivered at no cost so she ended up with two bouquets. Kim - thank you for the quick fix. I will say, the flowers DID end up different from what was pictured, but I much preferred the arrangement that arrived for my mom because I felt they were more elegant and sophisticated than what was in the catalog. Really appreciated that! But if you adamantly need what's pictured, I'd highly recommend adding it in the notes or giving them a call (i.e. the bouquet I selected was called "Daisy" but the actual arrangement swapped the daisies out).
