I have used The Flower Station for many, many years. I have never been disappointed in their service. Last month my daughter got married. Our appointment was thorough and quick. It was not dragged out and we were not pressured into anything we didn't want. Her wedding took place in town on a Tuesday and her wedding reception took place on a Saturday in Hoboken. There was absolutely no problem dealing with two venues on two different days with one being 55 miles away. All flowers were beautiful, exactly what the bride wanted. Everything arrived on time. I wish to give 0 star to Flower Station. I ordered few items from them for my wedding and the bridal bouquet was really really disappointed. I asked to have pink and purple roses and peonies (as it was my wedding theme) and ended up they gave me white and light light pink roses/small peonies. The flowers were not even FRESH! They turned yellowish when I received it. The size of the bouquet was ridiculous, even smaller than the avg bridal bouquet. I wish to attach the pictures and you judge with your own eyes. This bouquet costed me $125. It is not worth it at all. I will not recommend this store to anybody. read more

I used them for my wedding and spent a pretty penny. Not that I'm cheap, but my bouquet was full of dead flowers and my bridesmaids didn't match me what's so ever, totally clashed.. completely wrong to what we had originally agreed on. My mother and grandmother's were supposed to get wristlet but instead they gave us all the same exact flowers to pin on. When the grooms was supposed to be different and I said absolutely no roses ! I met with Bob in the Princeton location and he took the time to listen to all of my requests and work within my budget. I had a follow up in the Somerset location, which is much bigger. I was able to see some sample bouqets and centerpieces that Bob made for me. I was very happy. The day of the wedding, I had no involvement in any of the flower setup. If you want horrible customer service, dishonesty and people who are rude, than you are in the right place. I have been putting up with this company for a few years because they are conveniently located near my delivery location. The arrangements are of good quality but every single time they forget to bring the preservative, so the flowers do not last. You have to call back and ask them for it, even when you specify in the order. A few days ago was the last straw. They took my order, they said they would get it out on the first truck for early delivery. I told them that was a MUST. Wife was leaving at 1:30 and gone for the weekend returning on Monday. I started getting nervous and called at 11:30. I spoke with two different women who were rude and nasty. Dina said the truck will be there by 3:00, it will be there by 3:00. She is an absolute bold face liar. I demanded that a manager call me back, all they did was yes me to death. I made four calls in total and recorded each one. Yes, it is legal in NJ. One jackass said there is no manager in today. The other assured me they would have a manager call me back. I left messages with both offices. I will be happy to share the audio for those who would like to hear them in action. Stay far away from these liars. BTW, the wife never got the flowers because she left around two o'clock. Who knows if they ever showed up. If they were honest with me I could have gone to a plan B and had some one else deliver something on time. I have logged a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General. I called the store on the following day and they again where playing cover up.. They would not pass me off to a manager unless I presented my name. They played this game with me yesterday. Today I used a false name to get through their childish screening process. When I did speak to the manager I said I left two messages with two different people for you to call me. Somebody is either lying or wildly incompetent, not for me to figure out. I used the Flower Station to design and prepare the floral centerpieces as well as the bridal party bouquets for my sister's wedding last November. They did a phenomenal job and truly gave me peace of mind the day of the wedding. Everything was delivered to the wedding venue exactly according to the times requested and the Flower Station staff set the floral centerpieces perfectly as discussed without any further instruction from me on that busy day. I specifically worked with Valerie Romito who was extremely helpful in deciding what type of arrangement would work based on the theme/colors we wanted, the season and of course, my budget. I really felt Valerie provided the artistic and practical insight we needed and she made sure to provide sincere advice on what would look best without me having to exceed my budget. With constant questions, emails and phone calls, she was always patient and excited to help with any detail from the type of flowers to whether we wanted satin or silk ribbon. There were some changes with my point of contact and the owner Stephen was very on top of it. He and his team took amazing care of us for a relatively moderate price compared to other florists in the area. They brought amazing extras for decor, the flowers turned out even more incredible than I could have imagined and they incorporated all our ideas and decor items as well. I called flower station yesterday to place an order of sunflowers and white orchids for a friend of mine to celebrate her engagement. Valerie, the person on the other end told me sunflowers are out of season and they only had yellow gerbs instead. I asked if she could order them for me and she said she'd give me a call shortly to let me know. Evening came around ( I called at 10 am) and no call back. I called them at 6 pm to ask if there was an update and she placed me on hold for a long time before getting me an answer. She assured me that she would have my order ready with sunflowers and all at the latest by 11 am the next day and took my phone number and name. I asked if I needed to call before I come, she said no I will make sure they are ready for you. Come 11 am I go to pick up my flowers and Gabby the person at the desk scrambled around for 20 minutes trying to "find " my order. Im a mother of 2 toddlers and had brought my 2 year old with me thinking it would be a quick in and out. Instead another 10 minutes later she says theres no order ready and it had never been placed not apologizing once. I told her it was a major inconvenience as I had arranged my day around the pick up. In addition she said she didn't have sunflowers and my order wouldn't be ready until 130 pm. I asked for a discount at the very least and she came back with 4$ shaved off of it which was still unacceptable for me given everything. An old man came out of the back and told me suddenly the sunflowers had come in after I stated that everything about my experience was horrible and I would make sure that I would write a review about it. Still no apology, he got on the phone with his manager, Tony, and called me a "situation". Not only was I offended, my 2 year old was now crying after waiting nearly an hour. After explaining everything to him, he apologized, gave my crying toddler a balloon, and gave me 30% off. My flowers were ready after waiting nearly 1 hour and 1 out of 4 sunflowers was smushed. I left without mentioning anything about it because I just wanted to get out of there at this point. Tony spoke with me in the parking lot and apologized and told me they would treat me better next time. Unfortunately my first experience and impression will be my last. My business doesn't seem important to them nor does any future business I could've brought (weddings and corporate events, as well as business from my in laws who have placed multiple orders for me from here in the past.) I highly recommend Flower Station in Somerset. Tony was extremely friendly and professional. We discussed different types of looks, colors, styles. He listened to what my thoughts were and 100% delivered. The shop had great decorations, books, ideas and a fantastic walk in flower refrigerator. The blue hydrangeas were spectacular and now will always remind me of my mother. There was no sales pitch or pressure to buy more or spend more. I picked Flower Station as they were the only recommendation from the local funeral home. And I was VERY happy. The flowers were spectacular. Everything we discussed. At the last minute I thought of a small arrangement which would symbolize my mom, a nurse's cap. Tony and I looked at nurses caps on line, picked one and Tony replicated it beautifully.
