My husband sends a photo and all the "added" flowers are literally spread out like a pinwheel corsage it should all be together looking like a full piece at This point I want to cry . My husband tells them no shows the image I ordered they have been re doing this the whole time I'm typing we are on 15 minutes now ... and late for getting ready To go . I obviously made the mistake of not reading reviews before ordering flowers from Flowerama. I called many florists in the area looking for 5 foot long stem red roses. Finally found Flowerama and they were able to order them and put them into a bouquet with a vase. The flowers themselves were aprrox $14.50 a stem. They charged me $155 for putting together the bouquet, a vase and delivery (total was $329.98). I did tell them that i was considering just ordering the flowers from FTD florist for $200 with delivery but they convinced me that those would arrive half dead and wilted. I went ahead with the order expecting a beautiful bouquet. That is not what I received. The roses looked old and a little sad and the vase was a standard size vase that they probably had at the store. The bouquet in this picture is not worthy of $200 let alone $329. What an absolute rip off. I called the sales associate I spoke with and her solution was to give me a refund and pick up the flowers, knowing that they were a gift. Yes, please come back and pick up the flowers from the person that they were delivered to as a gift. Really!!! They could have very easily refunded me a portion of the money I spent or offered me a credit for next time. The flowers I ordered for Mothers day were delivered on time, and yes it is a very busy event for them, however, ignoring the broken stems what was delivered was far and away from what was offered on their website. The end delivery looked nothing like what I ordered and what I could have gotten for my $70 in a store would have tripled the blooms that arrived (not even counting the additional $15 delivery fee). I felt so bad that I showed my wife the photo of what I ordered so as not to get blamed for the underwhelming Mothers day delivery. Could they have been so busy they could not fill every order as promised? Yes, OFC, but then don't over-promise and send something when you cant meet your orders. I checked in with Eleni a couple weeks prior to the wedding and everything was good to go. I ordered a plant for my wife to be delivered at her work and instead of delivering what I ordered, they delivered a bouquet of flowers from someone named "Matt". At this point, I can understand that mistakes get made and it was really about what they were going to do to compensate for their mistake so I called them. The woman on the phone took my number and said she would call the delivery driver. She calls back and said the delivery driver apologized and then she apologized and that was it. At the very least, they should have refunded my money or given me some type of credit but she didn't offer that. I personally think that you learn the most about a business and how they value customer service in these situations where things don't go as planned. If the business goes out of their way, then they earn the respect of the customer and that customer usually comes back. If they do the bare minimum, then that business really doesn't care about customers and will have a hard time retaining them. I will not be ordering from Flowerama again. read more

Spring is in full bloom! And I'm a sucker for lilies, tulips and hyacinths of all colors in the Spring months. I stopped in here with my boyfriend on Easter to pick up flowers for our mothers (lunch with my family and dinner with his) because who doesn't love fresh flowers? My boyfriend has been to Flowerama several times before - it's where he buys my flowers when I'm up in the suburbs with him and knowing the fine quality of those flowers, I had to come in for myself. Flowerama is a block away from my mom's condo in Mundelein, and upon walking in, we were greeted with a jubilant "Happy Easter!" by Kitty, a super helpful employee who walked me through all the perennials. Literally, all the perennials. She walked me through their entire inventory of fresh flowers from the back of the store to the front of it while also mentioning the fresh-cut flowers in the refrigerator. I ended up getting a pot of tulips for my mom and star gazer lilies for my boyfriend's mom. They looked and smelled amazing! Kitty even made sure to include planting instructions with each pot and then decorated them with complimentary Easter bows. I grabbed a balloon for good measure and my boyfriend and I headed off to our Easter festivities. PS my mom was very surprised and loves the tulips - very fresh and quite lovely. Sam was great at taking our order and helping us through the process! She was detailed at taking our vision and creating very specific requirements. I shared a pictured of what we were trying to obtain, and she exceeded our expectations. My request was original and not on the website. She sent me pictures back of vases, so I can choose. I stopped in for flowers for my girlfriend's birthday the week of Valentine's Day. Yes I know, but she can't change the day she was born (Feb. 10th). I had bought flowers for her last year at Flowerama and was very pleased with the selection and service. This year was a different story. When I walked in the store this year there were 6 people working behind the counter. After about a minute, one of them reluctantly asked if she could help me. I told her I was interested in putting together an arrangement of flowers. She took me to a cooler with nothing but prearranged bouquets. There were no individual flowers to choose from or anything I would consider premier flowers. It all looked like standard filler bouqets. I reluctantly picked out the best color selection I could find. I asked for a vase. She took the pre-arranged bouquet, threw it in the vase and did not rearrange it at all. I gave the flowers to my girlfriend with an apology for the way they looked. The perfect way to make someone feel special on their birthday. It's been two years since my wedding and I still rave about Flowerama to anyone who is getting married in the area and needs a florist. Flowerama was the third florist I received a quote for my wedding at Independence Grove for 140 people. I was hoping to spend $2,000 on flowers (including vases). The first florist was willing to work with my budget but it would be done very simply (some table arrangements were just petals floating in water). The second florist basically told me they could not work with that budget. I've never felt so "cheap" and embarrassed so I quickly escaped that florist and walked across the street to my third florist- Flowerama. By the time I got to Flowerama I was feeling like my budget wasn't going to provide the classic and timeless look I was hoping to have for my wedding. I walked through the door and was quickly greeted by a friendly employee. I sheepishly shared that I needed flowers for my wedding of 140 people and that my budget was $2,000. I was ready to be told "impossible" or "it would be very simple" but they were excited to work with me and didn't make my budget feel "too low". We sat down and I described the table arrangements I wanted (some tall and some with underwater flowers), bouquets, hanging pew flowers, etc. I also was hoping to have hydrangeas, peonies, and roses (which are certainly not the cheapest choices out there). They wrote everything down and a couple days later, they emailed a quote with an itemized receipt of what everything would cost. Everything was exactly what I wanted and within my budget. Two weeks before my wedding they even let me come in with the vases, river rocks, and underwater lights and showed me how it would look so I was completely comfortable and knew what to expect. I also gave them a map of where the tables would be in the reception hall and picked which arrangements would be on which tables. On the day of the wedding they delivered everything to the church and the reception on time and arranged it just as we had planned.
