I wanted to let you know how beautiful the flowers were at my nephews wedding! All of the flowers were white, roses, hydrangeas and other white filler flowers. I was so disappointed I ordered flowers for my Sister and I spoke with them and asked what amount of $$ would be a nice bouquet for her, she stated $100 would make a big beautiful arrangement I said well make it $150 and gorgeous! It was $180+ with tax and delivery. When I got to my sisters and saw them I was so disappointed it looked like I spent $50 at Jewel for flowers. I ordered flowers for my mother (same day service) and was extremely disappointed. I ordered the Citrus Kissed flower arrangement and what was delivered looked nothing like it. It was not full, did not have the proper amount of roses (only had 6, when 8 were pictured), and did not have the right flowers in the arrangement. When my mom took a picture and sent it to me, I was so embarrassed. I called the store to complain and was directed to Linda, the store owner. I told her how upset I was with the arrangement and she offered to pick them up and re-make the order. I denied her request because I didn't want my mom to know there was a problem. She then offered me a $20 credit, which I accepted, but I could tell that was not something she wanted to do. During our discussion, she said they were out of orange roses (which comprised the majority of the arrangement). Instead, carnations were put in their place. I asked her how many roses were in the arrangement and her reply was, "The recipe calls for 8, but I didn't make it so I don't know." Well, if the recipe calls for 8 roses, then don't you think, as the owner, that 8 roses were put in the arrangement? My mom later confirmed there were only 6 roses in the arrangement and that the carnations would outlive the partially dead roses that were put in there. Also, on the website, you have the option of buying "as shown". Well, after seeing what was delivered, it definitely wasn't "as shown" on the website. I brought that point up to Linda and she said, "Well, the photographers move all the flowers to the front of the vase to make it appear fuller." I told her that was false advertising and that the arrangement wasn't nearly as full as the picture, even if the flowers weren't pulled to the front. She wrote me an email apologizing about the incident and gave me my $20 refund. After fretting and stewing for a day, I decided to write her back and ask for a full refund because of how the entire situation was handled. I paid $80 for an arrangement that looked nothing like the picture, dealt with a rude store owner, and was embarrassed of the flowers that were delivered to my mother. I did not think that the situation was handled professionally from the start and thought my money needed to be refunded. The store owner, Linda, did not return my email and I can't say I'm surprised. When choosing a Florist in the McHenry County area, I would not recommend using Chapel Hill Florist. read more

Chapel Hill Florist were the best! I was searching for a florist to have flowers made and delivered to my sister-in-laws funeral service at St. John's Church in Johnsburgh. The arrangement came out more beautiful than I expected! It was the most beautiful flower arrangement there! The people at the florist I spoke over the phone to make the order with were so beyond nice and helpful! They offered suggestions, went through pictures online with me and helped me pick out the selection of flowers. I felt like I could trust them to do a good job! I was worried because I have had bad experiences with other florists delivering flowers that were not even close to what I was expecting. I ended up ordering a colorful standing spray on a white stand that looked gorgeous! Oh, and they also added a beautiful ribbon on it with a printed message- Beloved Sister at no additional charge! read more

Very disappointed. My husband ordered flowers through Fromyouflowers.com and this was the florist used to complete the order. Although the arrangement was pretty and the flowers were fresh, it looked so skimpy compared to the actual photo of the online bouquet. There was supposed to be 3 Sunflowers, mine had only 2 and of the other flowers that are easily countable in the photo, I only received half the amount. The rest was filled with greenery to fill in the lack of flowers. A customer should get what they pay for. I can't say I would ever recommend this florist. read more

Terrible service. Delivery showed up 3 hours after requested delivery and the attached card even after seeing the confirmation of the online order had the incorrect anniversary years written on it. How can that even happen when it's an online order and confirmation showed what was requested. There are plenty other shops in the area that I will use in the future. read more

We called last minute for a funeral arrangement for an Indianapolis wake. I never had to send one of these before and didn't know what to send. I think it's important for you all to ask guys lots of questions while ordering bouquets. Twice in the past month my husband went there to get me flowers. and the bouquets have been awkward both times. Granted, I know he doesn't know a lot. But for my birthday I received a bouquet with a few stargazers, then 2 bright orange gerber daisies. Not only did that arrangement not make sense, but it lasted half as long as the grocery store flowers I bought the same day. Then, my husband goes in for my valentine's day flowers. He paid over $30 for exactly this - 3 carnations, 1 yellow lily and 2 gerber daisies (what's with all the gerber daisies? they die instantly!), and a bunch of greenery that looks like weeds. I get it that valentine's day is a busy day, but apparently he called ahead. Either way, paying that much for a poorly put together bouquet that contained 6 flowers (3 of which are carnations - I know they aren't expensive!). What a rip off. I've asked him not to go back, if all I'm ever going to get is a few flowers with some lame gerber daisies that die right away. read more
