Flowers at Lakeside is an AWESOME florist! My son & I purchased flowers, from a picture online, there this week. When I picked them up, they were way SMALLER then we expected because we ordered PREMIUM. So I panicked and called my son and said this isn't what you were expecting! They are horrible! My son was purposing to his girl the next day . As I'm complaing to my son, they were trying to figure a way to make it better! They told me we could have refund if we'd like, or we can put it in a taller vase. I wasn't expecting that so my panick started to calm down! We didn't realize when ordering that PREMIUM meant more fowers, not taller and bigger. So it was our mistake, but its Valentines day the next day, they were extremely busy, and they took the time to work with us and get my son a BEAUTIFUL arrangement! This is the third year I am ordering flower for my 70 year old mother from Lakeside, every time is even better than last. The flowers are absolutely beautiful and their service is also top notch. Last year I ordered flowers and chocolate covered strawberries but my mom had to go to urgent care and wasn't home, they had no problem to make fresh flower and strawberries and delivered to my mom the following day. My siblings and I decided to purchase a bouquet for our mom's 80th birthday. It seems that every florist is closed on Sundays, so no deliveries for her birthday. That's just how my luck runs sometimes. I got hold of Gina at Flowers at Lakeside ten minutes before they closed on a Saturday. She went out of her way, well beyond expectations, to put together an arrangement for my mom and to deliver it for her birthday. I gave her a budget and after discussing a few color options (remember, this is last minute on a Saturday during COVID) I simply told her "You're the artist. I trust you to make something beautiful for my mom for her birthday." She knocked it out of the park. The bouquet she came up with was beyond my expectations. And when my mom wasn't home for the delivery, the angel of a delivery person (whose name I do not know but she certainly saved the day!) made a second trip to make sure my mom got her flowers. I showed up a week early and placed an order for a nice bouquet to be picked up on Saturday morning. I work nights and asked how early they would be open so I could stay awake and pick them up before I went to bed. The owner (I believe it was her) said they would make them the night before so I could pick them up at 8am (1hour before they open as that was when her assistant showed up to start the Saturday orders) I showed up at 8:05 and was told my order wasn't ready and they didnt open till 9:30 and to come back then. so I guess their was a miscommunication somewhere and I was starting to doubt they were going to be my florist on this side of town. I went and ran some errands and came back to find one of the most beautiful arrangements Ive ever bought for my girlfriend. I guess that alone saved them because I really wanted to write a bad review based solely on my order not being ready but the colors and freshness of the flowers made up for everything. Was specific as to what I didn't want. lo & behold, the arrangement contained the "don't use" colors. Was a stock arrangement that I could have ordered for much less online. AVOID! I ordered flowers 3 days before a funeral because they were one of the closest flower shops. They were delivered 20 minutes after the service began. I should have listened to a previous Yelp review I read about them not having an order ready when promised. I would never recommend. This was for a small funeral service and it was very embarrassing that this arrangement was not there. As we were leaving it was out in the lobby. I didn't call them to ask for a refund, because it's wasn't a matter of the money. It is just something that needed to be there on time...and wasn't. They were located only about a mile away and had 3 days notice. Not a place I would ever do business with again. read more

I'll give credit to the easy online ordering. But once I placed the order, my confirmation noted about the substitution policy. That I didn't see prior to confirming my order. Ok, my bad for not reading everything. But it said if my selection is unavailable, a substitution of comparable quality and value will be delivered. I chose an arrangement of mostly white flowers with a hint of light pink. Nothing too loud. More on the elegant side. Description: "Light pink roses, white asiatic lilies, alstroemeria, cushion spray chrysanthemums and statice." But instead, an arrangement of a variety of colored flowers with lots of that green filler was in its place. Just looked like someone threw a bunch of flowers into a vase. There was no shape to it. I even upgraded to the premium selection, I was under the impression I would at least get a handful of lilies and roses. There were 3 red roses, (this was for a friend, I didn't want to give her red roses) and one yellow lily. And a couple other flowers to fill the rest of the vase along with that ugly green stuff, I think it's fern, which my original selection didn't have any of. I definitely feel jipped out of a beautiful bouquet. I'll give them credit for delivering it promptly. But as for the bouquet itself, I'm very disappointed. It was not comparable in quality or value. read more
