Even though it's really close to my house, I had never been in this flower shop before. But I have been on the hunt for Peonies for weeks now, and I called them last week and sadly they did not. But they told me they were supposed to get some this week, so they took my number to let me know when they would be delivered. I'll be honest, I was not expecting to hear back from them, but hold and behold, I got a text this morning letting me know they had arrived! Suzanne took my order over phone, when I didn't receive the email receipt I called next day and one was promptly emailed, however the delivery date was incorrect prior to my granddaughters surgery, so called again, oh so sorry fixed date and sent new receipt. well they still delivered on incorrect day prior to surgery. yet another call oh so sorry can we send a bouquet for your trouble, I said sure. a 4 inch pot poinsettia arrived to my daughter, a $4.99 value. we visited two days after delivery the Mylar balloon was deflated and the flowers already dying, so sorry I used Trudy's. read more

I stopped in for a hand tied bouquet. I usually use another local florist, but was on Trudy's side of town. The florist working was incredibly sweet. However, they are $10-$15 higher than other shops I've gotten hand tied bouquets from in the past and what I received was primarily greenery, with very few flowers, as compared to other shops that have a lower price point. The floral arrangements I saw in their case also looked similarly lacking. Sadly, I won't go back. read more

On my first visit to Trudy's, I ordered a cornucopia for my daughter's Thanksgiving gathering. It was absolutely beautiful! And my daughter loved it. Jocelyn at Trudy's Flowers was excellent! She was kind, attentive, and flexible. I didn't know what I really wanted, but after showing her some photos of bouquets I liked as well as our wedding colors, she was able to design the perfect bouquet! She gave my fiancé several options for a matching boutonniere and she even ending up helping him pin it on the day of our wedding. A few days before our wedding I emailed her with a change in our plans and she was extremely flexible. We moved our ceremony from outside to inside, which caused her to redesign the floral arrangement that was originally meant for an arch. She worked with our event coordinator to determine what the new floral arrangement should look like...all without ever visiting the space! We worked with Jocelyn for all of the planning; during our initial consultation she did an amazing job of listening to what we wanted and giving us options within our budget. Once she put together a sample bouquet I knew we had to hire Trudy's! Our wedding was impacted by the pandemic. When it came to moving our date Trudy's made it extremely easy. As we got closer to the new date, Jocelyn was awesome about making the changes we requested and making sure she was clear on what we wanted. I've attached a picture showing my nosegay bouquet for prom. I am the one in the left in the blue dress and the bouquet I am holding is from Trudy's. Considering that this bouquet was $75, I don't believe it was worth the price. The selection to add blue flowers was very limited and the only option was blue hydrangeas, which had barely any blue to begin with and looked a bit dead in my pictures. The white roses were not nearly as white and full as other bouquets I saw throughout the night. I also only asked for a couple of rhinestone embellishments and my bouquet was littered with them and cheapened the overall look of the bouquet. I also asked for baby's breath and had barely any in the bouquet. Considering the expensive price of the bouquet, I would have anticipated it to be larger, the flowers to be fuller and the hydrangeas to be bluer. My bouquet was one of the smallest I saw and I knew girls that payed less for theirs at other flower shops. I'd also like to add that the flowers have been dying very quickly, I had my prom on Saturday and it is now Tuesday and they are almost dead. Edit: I failed to mention that I gave the flowers to my mom right after pictures were finished and they were promptly put back in water, I did not keep them with me during my prom night. I would have given this 2 stars but I also ordered a boutonniere which did not have any issues and looked and stayed nicely throughout the nice so I am giving it 3. read more

I worked with Janessa who explained what could be done with limited flower availability due to COVID-19, and together we chose a lovely bouquet which emphasized our condolences in a subtle, yet elegant way. She kept in contact with me in every step, and even sent me a picture of the arrangement before it went out for delivery. This is my first review of a florist since I started yelping. I was so impressed by Trudy's on Mother's Day that I felt the need to write this review as soon as possible. Like a big dummy, I forgot to order flowers for my wife from her one-year-old son for Mother's Day until 10 AM the day of. I called at least 10 different florists in Naperville all of whom basically laughed at me because I needed them to put a bouquet together and deliver it before noon. Not only did the lady on the phone at Trudy's not laugh at me, she actually was pleasant and happy to help. She was able to put a dozen multicolored roses and half a dozen Lillys together at very short notice, and delivered within two hours of my phone call on Mother's Day. Not only were the flowers delivered on very short notice but the quality was perfect. The roses are all still very healthy five days later and most of the lilies are still opening up! Believe me I realize that I am an idiot for waiting as long as I did before ordering the flowers. However it is a very nice thing when you find a store that still cares about top notch customer service. I would recommend Trudy's to anybody in Naperville the surrounding area. Very happy with the arrangement ordered for our boss. I ordered online a week prior to delivery and the shop called to confirm the delivery date. The day of the delivery they called again to ask if it was ok to substitute two flowers for a diff color bc the ones they'd ordered were not in good shape. I appreciated the calls. The arrangement looked exactly like what was pictured (with the exception of the diff colored orchids). My fiancé and I set a wedding date one month out. It was a second marriage for us both, and we invited only immediate family. We planned on keeping everything minimal because it was Christmastime. Pretty soon we were catering a larger event, I wanted a white on white wedding cake and my man decided a week out that a bunch of flowers from Jewel the day of the wedding wasn't going to be good enough. Cue Yelp. I found several florists through Yelp but most were either too expensive or couldn't help on short notice. My last call was to Trudy's, and they came through big time. My high school-aged children order all of their corsages and boutonnieres for dances and prom and they are always, hands down, the freshest, most beautiful, flowers in all of the pictures. This afternoon, just 2 hours before the homecoming dance, I realized that we never ordered flowers. I called Trudy's and in 20 minutes, we picked up a lovely boutonnierre that matched my daughter's dress perfectly. The woman on the phone was helpful and kind. I had to take it with me because I was on my way to the funeral but it was not worth the $60 that I paid. I stopped in on my way to work looking for a SMALL corsage to be ordered. The lady (not Trudy) did not seem to grasp what SMALL was. She did not show me a flower, only photos of huge corsages. They also were willing to take my "snapit band" since the corsage is for someone with tiny wrists. This place did not even wish to work with me on this-- only saying"we have bands that can be shortened".
