They have a wealth of hunting and guiding experience all over the country and world. We booked a bear hunt for 4 hunters. The accommodations at the lodge were amazing. Very comfortable cabins to stay in with home cooked meals every day. The guides worked their tails off for us, and wanted to see us punch our tags as much as we did. While their guiding abilities were great their personalities were even greater. I'd be happy to share a camp fire and beers with these guys any day of the week. Based on this trip we will be looking forward to hunting with Sawtooth Wilderness Outfitters every spring. You can ignore the bad review from the past owners and book with these guys with confidence.

(We ended up going on a last minute hunt that was sub par at best but paying full price.) Gave it to us in writing. Found out he is no longer willing to honor his word. Says there are new owners and they don't care about the agreement. So, if you book with these guys, this is the type of organization you are dealing with. Their work cannot be trusted. Side note, my buddy did go on his hunt with Sawtooth, week after I was going. He was not impressed at all. They did not see a single deer. They did see a few elk, but way off. Since the beginning of December, we have heard them ask when they could come this year... and our grandson, now 5, said he wanted to do the lighted trolley. Unfortunately, our kids' family had a water leak that caused some turmoil in the schedule... and on New Year's Day, there was a question about whether or not the horses would be available because of weather... AMAZING communication from the company. UNBELIEVABLE empathy when we couldn't re-schedule, and an offer to do the carriage ride. This company now feels like part of the family as they understand the tradition they started just a year ago, but will continue for many years. Turns out the weather changed and we got to go on the trolley, got to take pictures by the horses, and have friends coming to Idaho to share in this experience if they are able. Grandad and Grammy's dream of the perfect new tradition in a new home! What a Christmas blessing this trip has become! Thank you, Clinton and family for making this a dream come true! CARRIAGE RIDE NEXT YEAR, and we may also add a trolley. BOTH were delightful in different ways. Don't bother booking any "adventure" with this company. We purchased a GroupOn voucher ($125) for…read morea winter time sleigh ride around Christmas time 2014. We must have called a dozen times to set up an appointment to take our family on this sleigh ride. They never returned the calls, even though we left messages. After some time we forgot about it (since winter was now gone and all our family that we were going to use it with were gone as well). fast forward to Jan 2016, we realized the coupon was expired, but called them hoping that they would honor the previously purchased coupon since we could never connect with someone to schedule the ride. NOPE, they admitted that the person they had scheduling these rides purchased via GroupOn didn't get back with people like they should have, but that didn't matter, we had to pay another $125 if we wanted the ride. Since we really wanted to take our family on this outing we went ahead and purchased it again directly from Allred Adventures. When the charge showed up on our card (a week after we took the ride), it was for $140. I called about this and they explained that they had to collect sales tax as well. Fine, except the sales tax, 6%, should have only been $7.50. When I asked about the other $7.50, they said we had to pay tax on the initial $125 coupon we purchased in 2014, even though we didn't use it!!! When I questioned them they basically said, "too bad!". Now for the actual sleigh ride itself (which was a retail value of $250) was the biggest disappointment of all. We drove an hour to get to Garden Valley, ID. We were told we would see a herd of elk and be able to feed them. The "scenic" ride was in a meadow behind their building, right between the highway and the back of the local high school. There was a herd of elk (which was cool) eating hay, but we never stopped to watch them or feed them. At the beginning of the ride the man driving the sleigh introduced himself and the two horses, then never said another word unless we asked him a few questions. There was nothing "scenic " about the ride since it was just a big loop around this meadow and only took 30 minutes. Biggest waste of time and money ever!!

It's crazy to think that everything was contactless. You get a code for the door, you pay in advance, and there isn't a need to see anybody. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the walkability to downtown and the State Capital. We walked to downtown everyday of our stay. We weren't around much to soak in the property. There is laundry in the back, and a backyard you can relax in. We did read out on the porch while sipping on a can of beer. That was fun. I highly recommend staying at the Boise Guest House. Especially if you are someone that's independent and doesn't want the fuss of hotels. Oh, we never figured out how you can use the bikes. Make sure to ask before your trip. I was hoping that there was information, but I couldn't figure that out.

The rooms were so beautiful with tons of plugs and home comforts. The House is located in a great walkable area for restaurants without being in the middle of everything so the noise was minimal.
