Spoke with Brett of CP Marine and he stated we could drop it off and he would get to it in a timely fashion. The repair facility is super nice and Brett is straight forward and honest about what needs to be done to get your boat back in the water.. As most people don't understand it's not cheap to own a boat and maintenance is the key to problem free weekends. His mechanic Jamie was friendly and very knowledgeable on the possibilities of the problem. All in All, we live 2 hours outside phx and I will be giving him my business on both our boats. I took my Stratos there for carb rebuild, work on shift linkage, and check the water pump. Kept for…read morea couple weeks and finally called and said it was done. Cost: just under $1400.oo. Paid it and decided to take my kids and grandson out the next day. Filled the 37 gal fuel tank and launched the boat. Had a real difficult time starting it. It would start and run maybe 30 seconds. I used my trolling motor to get out past the wake zone. tried starting it again, same thing wouldn't stay running. ?At this point I noticed it was starting to get hot. I stop trying then and decided to put it back on the trailer. Well somewhere along the way I lost the plug and the boat was taking on water. Alot faster than my bilge pump could pump out. I had to flag down a boat and get towed back to the dock! Ruined a good day. Got it home and called G and G and brought it back to the the following day. They called the following day to pick up the boat. Upon arrival the lady told me that it got too hot and melted some wires. Said I sucked up something and it plugged the water pump. Said they wouldn't do anything else without charging me. Recommended that I buy a used motor and replace it. I brought it home again and decided to check it out. That is when I found the broken Stern light in the battery compartment. They replaced it with a cheap light with a plastic base instead of a LED light like I had. The impact point on my gas tank is about 12 in. from my stern light. The gas tank had several cracks in it which allowed water to mix with the gas. By the time we got back to the dock that was all you could smell (Gas). The deputy sheriff came over and just said be careful and no smoking as it was draining. I pulled the tank out to check to see if it could be fixed. A lot of the wires were melted. I started to pull the spark plugs to check if fouled out and didn't need a socket, they were removed by hand! I would never take my boat back there nor would I recommend them to anybody.

Not only does Mel and Matt say they took it to the water and tested it after not one but six times of me taking it to the lake being disappointed in my watercraft's not running properly and dying each time I have taken it out after they say they tested it ran fine and was ready to go only to be embarrassed. The boat is a 2012 Centurion Enzo, apparently it's "ancient" and I was facing the reality that I will either resort to reworking all of the wiring to accept the new terminal locations of modern rockers, or just deal with one backlight not working. I purchased a boat from him based on his clear statements that the boat was in good condition and included a 1-year warranty. Those statements turned out to be completely unreliable. In less than 6 months, the motor failed. I contacted him immediately and gave him more than enough time -- over 2 months -- to honor his warranty and fix the issue. Instead, I received nothing but repeated delays and empty promises: * "Next week" * "I'll come check it" * "I'll take care of it" None of it ever happened. At this point, it is hard to see this as anything other than a consistent pattern of avoiding responsibility. Once the sale is completed, follow-through appears to be nonexistent. Because of this, I have been forced to pursue legal action to recover my damages. Serious Warning to Buyers If you are considering doing business here: * Do not rely on verbal warranties * Do not assume issues will be handled after purchase * Be prepared for delays and lack of accountability Final Thoughts A seller's credibility is proven after the sale, not during it. We were fortunate enough to find Dallas and his "marina" just as he had finished stripping a used pontoon down to the frame and pontoons. He cleaned, sealed and painted the pontoons and frame and built the boat from the frame up exactly as we specified. If you cruise Lake 1 at The Islands in Gilbert, you'll find that a huge percentage of the boats here are Boatman Boats. Cruising the lake and running into our neighbors, we have not heard a single complaint about Dallas or Boatman Boats!
