My sister and I walked in and got started right away. Liz is awesome! I got my pierced and my sister got her 2nd earlobe piercing. Earlobe pairs were $60 and Nip pairs were $120. Highly recommend if you're wanting a piercing last minute.

Okay so I would have given them five stars for the piercing job (I got my tongue pierced here); but I would give them two stars for what followed up... so I went too get my tongue pierced here and they way they set things up they had me sign paperwork and give them my ID and picked out jewelry and headed too the piercing room in the back. We get it pierced and so much time has gone by since we first got there keep in mind they don't have a system where you pay before you get pierced like you SHOULD so people don't FORGET. Because that's usually how these things work. Naturally we walk to the front and they all say "have a great night!!" And obviously forgetting I walk out too my car and right as I got there I realized oh shit! They never asked me to pay beforehand, and all of a sudden this guy from the shop runs out WITH A WRENCH, ready to smash my windows or take my plates or something!!! He goes "uhm you didn't pay" and I was like uhm I wasn't trying to fucking steal in the first place so don't treat me as if I'm trying to pull a fast one on your buisiness when y'all system was fucked up and you should have expected that too happen, of course I went in to pay as this was there fault I forgot and mine for not remembering people are dumb! I then got PRESSED to tip out almost everyone there which was the rest of my money because the girl kept saying "how much do you wanna tip" I stan tipping but these people did not deserve it and I felt really flustered because she was pressuring me into tipping people who had literally just came outside to my car with a wrench, this place is wack and the pricing is also expensive. They probably remember me from this review but I don't care because I saw too many reviews but not one sharing a story like mine with this place :) Goodluck to your business I hope you guys start making people pay before the service so when you say "have a great night" while walking them to leave, they don't forget about paying and get ran up on with a wrench as if they are a bad person and asked for any of that:)

I paid $200 for this bullshit tattoo

I honestly am baffled at the ratings that Fluid Ink has gotten. If you want a super basic tattoo go here. If you want something that is even slightly creative and artistic, don't. I went in to get a tattoo not too long ago. I told Chad what I wanted and he quoted me a price and said it would take a couple hours. The work he did for me took a little over 30 minutes and he still charged me $200. It looked like shit. It was my first tattoo and I was so ashamed of it. Thankfully there are some real artists in Saint Paul. I went to the Holy Mackerel and got it covered up. If you're in the market for a tattoo/piercing shop, I highly discourage you to walk in to Fluid Ink. There are much better artists around.

I would never go anywhere else. I went here based on the recommendation of my best friend and her sister, who get all their work done here. I was beyond happy with the result. I got a small swan (a custom drawn design) on the back of my neck- a very simple design, but I would absolutely go here for my future, more complicated ink work. My tattooist, Nick, was very professional and friendly, and made me feel very comfortable (as it was my first tattoo). Their new location, a block up Snelling, is very nice- clean and bright, but not without character. The shop minimum is $65, which is what I was charged for my design. It's been a year and I've had no issues or fading. They do free touch ups if you do have any problems, though. It is cash only, but there's a Holiday across the street.

There are better places. They botched my custom design by not paying close enough attention to detail. Otherwise they were professional.

The apprentice is supervised by a senior piercer, in my case the shop owner, and it was a great experience. We went slow and had an easy paced consultation making sure the placement was just right and would also meet the kind of jewelry I wanted. They were happy to change and mark placement multiple times until I was satisfied and the owner was happy. All in, I paid $90 for both piercings including jewelry plus a tip. Fraidy Cats came HIGHLY recommended by a friend who has been going to the owner Jamie for a decade now. I have 15+ piercings so this is not new territory for me. The same friend called the studio in the morning to check in with Jamie. Two of us wanted two new piercings, not one, and she said one appointment slot per person would be ok. We also let her know we had our own jewelry and she said it would have to be processed. She instructed us to book three back to back appointments with the same piercer online so we did just that and reserved an hour and a half time between the three of us (4pm-5:30pm). We arrived on time (3:58pm to be exact) and Jamie told us that she "messed up" the schedule and needed to help someone else first, but the staff came over to take care of us so it was fine. Our group of three proceeded to complete paperwork and a very lengthy after-care presentation. We were just following the staff's instructions so we figured we were still on schedule. Jamie joined us and called us by they/them pronouns by default which seemed thoughtful. She asked where we bought our jewelry from since it needs to be high quality. She went back and forth between the lobby where we were and her office on the other side of the wall to google the names of the studios where we said we bought the jewelry. Not sure if that's the best way to verify jewelry quality but ok. This was when things went south. Jamie said there was now only enough time for one of us to get pierced with jewelry that we brought and that there was no longer time for two of us to get two piercings each and that we would have to come back a different day. So we let my other friend who was visiting from out of state have that slot. I asked Jamie to process my jewelry alongside my friend's jewelry because I had a feeling there would be enough time for me. She reluctantly agreed and guess what? There was enough time -- my piercing was completed at 5:22pm. The piercer who did my tragus was kind, professional and personable. Unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Immediately after putting in the jewelry, she told me that it was slightly off and asked me to check the mirror. I calmly said that I didn't like it and asked that we remove it. She said ok but had to notify Jamie first. Jamie stormed in and was completely on the defense, saying things like, "This is a great piercing" and "It looks great to ME." I stayed quiet nearly the entire time. I struggle with social anxiety and standing up for myself, so the last thing I wanted to do was defend myself and start crying. All I was able to say was, "This isn't the placement I agreed to and I want it removed." Jamie removed the jewelry from my ear and explained to the piercer how it was at the wrong angle, while still not validating my decision to have it removed or apologizing for her piercer's lack of proper training. She also didn't do anything to stop the blood from pooling inside my ear and then raised her voice at me when I tried sitting up to prevent blood from going down my ear canal. The piercer tried helping me and Jamie started barking at her asking if there was blood on her floors (there wasn't). Thankfully Jamie left the room shortly after. When we left, Jamie didn't come out to ask how I was doing or say goodbye to my friend who, again, has been going to her for years and consistently refers people to her studio. I went back shortly after we left to ask for my deposit to be refunded since no one had mentioned it at any point. A staff member went to Jamie's office to ask and said that Jamie would take care of it within a few days. At this point it was clear that Jamie had no intention of seeing us out or following up on my experience. Again, this review has absolutely nothing to do with my botched piercing. These things happen. The problem is the way I was treated by Jamie. She had more respect for my pronouns than my well-being. Also I received my refund AFTER this review was posted on Google.

The front staff helped explain the aftercare and guided me through picking my stud. They had a LOT of jewelry to choose from. Since I knew id have to keep this initial piercing in my nose for nearly a year, I opted for something simple. I would definitely go back later to get one of their more unique pieces of jewelry, though. My piercer, Kalei, was professional and friendly. She made sure to explain the piercing process and in no time I had my nose pierced! It's been about 6 weeks and my nose appears to be healing great I will come back to Electric Strawberry when I'm ready to swap it out for a new piece. The one negative was even with an appointment, the wait time was a little long as they appeared to have a lot of walk-ins. But I also understand that some piercings/appointments might take longer than expected.

It was incredibly easy to book an appointment, and their website was really helpful - I got to read about each piercer, look at jewelry options, and got a lot of piercing FAQ. The day of my appointment, I walked in and immediately knew I chose the right place. The shop is clean and unique, and I immediately felt my butterflies ease up. The front desk staff member that checked me in was incredibly helpful, going over the paperwork and helping me pick jewelry. I'd arrived a little bit early but only waited a few minutes before Jo took me back. She explained the process and then it was time to get pierced. Although piercing pain is a bit different than tattoo pain, Jo was quick and efficient. I'm incredibly happy with my entire experience and would highly recommend Electric Strawberry for anyone in the market for a piercing.
