While I have a regular artist, I ended up at Leviticus because I was looking for a style that my regular artist does not provide. I wanted something creepy and fun with more of a heavy hand. After looking through the website, I found Jessi Graden and really loved her work, I knew she would be perfect for the kind of tattoo I wanted. Really disappointed in the upcharging here - when it comes to getting a quality piercing and jewelry, I understand. I'm happy to pay a reasonable service charge and an upcharge on sourcing for jewelry, however I'm frustrated with the maintenance charge here. When I got my flat, I had been told to come back within 10 weeks for a FREE post-change, any later and I would have to pay the $15 fee. However, I found out that the $15 post-jewelry charge is waved, and they're still charging $15 for the service of just changing my earring. Plus, tax and a credit card charge. I couldn't imagine paying $30 if I had come after the 10 weeks just for a post change, let alone the $15 is really high. I could understand $5/$10 for the service. I double checked, and nowhere on the website does it say you have to pay for the post, which is frustrating. Again, a wonderful parlor with wonderful staff, but feeling a little blindsided and frustrated on this one. read more

I went in for a tattoo to commemorate my dad who had passed away. I had an appointment for 5 and wasn't seen until 6:15! The quality of the tattoo was great. The artist captured the essence of my dad however the lack of professionalism in terms of the wait time was unacceptable. The vibe of the establishment is fun. Won't go there again. read more

I've had Leviticus do a tattoo for me in the past, and it was a great experience, and my tattoo turned out amazing...but now their process seems to be overly complicated and cumbersome. Everything is done via email initially now, so I emailed a picture of a military unit patch, so they could match me with an artist, which I did and it was completely understandable, but after sending the picture of the patch I wanted, I was then asked to send in a picture of a tattoo, of a patch, so they could better match me with an artist. I've since decided to look elsewhere to get my tattoo done. What happened to the days of an artist being able to just draw an image, then tattoo it? read more

I love my half sleeve by Jessi! I now have my cat, an art deco goddess, the deathly hallows, and significant flowers permanently inked on my body and I couldn't be happier. Here's a quick overview of the process if this is your first big tattoo (otherwise I think they have some walk-in hours): 1) "Request an appointment" on Yelp and the owner will reply asap. 2) At your first appointment, you'll discuss your desired concept and will be assigned the most appropriate tattoo artist. 3) Set up appointments directly with your artist and send them any supplemental info on your tattoo vision. 4) Make a deposit of $150 upon scheduling, which will go towards your session(s). 5) Wait for months for your first appt because the artists are talented and in high demand. 6) Have your body bludgeoned with beautiful artwork forevs. I loved Jessi's style of work so I found it fitting and exciting I got paired with her. My colored half sleeve took 3 sessions (~10-12 hrs total) to finish, and her rate is currently $175/hr. It was well worth it! And touch ups are included, of course. I had a wonderful experience here getting my two (out of three) tattoos. My first ever tattoo was done by Craig Moore, and I had wanted two blue flowers to represent my grandmothers. He was very confident in his work which he deserves. He was also very nice and patient with how long my tattoo was taking ( he stayed till past close). I had two of my friends there with me as well giving me moral support haha! After all was done, the shop owner gave us fish food to feed the beautiful koi fish that are the size of a small dog! My second experience here was with Collin Rigsby, who did my cactus tattoo! This was a tattoo more for me because any one in my life knows how much I adore cactus. He was very nice and we talked about how he was moving with his wife to a new home. He also gave me some advice on where I should place it. I originally wanted it on my back shoulder, but he thought it would look cool on the opposite arm of my flower tattoo. After the second tattoo I talked with Jack the Piercer about some of the septum jewelry they had. She was very educated of course in everything that has to do with piercings, the jewelry they sell (which is handmade) and cleaning care. Since I already had a septum piercing, she offered to put the septum ring in for me which was very nice. I had an appointment and everything went extremely smooth! They were very prepared and taking all precautions that they could with COVID, which left me feeling at ease! I had been looking for the perfect place for my ideas and I stumbled across Cliftons profile and his artwork and I immediately knew he could do what I was looking for. Clifton was very understanding, calming, and fun to talk to. We had to switch the placement and size a few times before we got it perfect, but I am so in love with what he did. I had a hard time finding a professional piercing shop to have my 5 year old's ears done. Most places only do 8-14 and up. Leviticus usually doesn't do kids under 6, but I asked if we could come and and meet the piercer so he could decide if he felt she was ready. We had an amazing experience! Chad was so patient and kind, and his gentle energy put her immediately at ease. Upon first walking into the shop, my kiddo almost changed her mind, she was overwhelmed by all the pictures and the sounds of the tattoo guns, but Chad talked with her (and directly TO her!), he brought us back to the piercing room and even showed her the autoclave and tools he would use. He let her feel the pinch of the "forceps" and as he talked and showed her around I could feel her grip on my hand relaxing. It was a huge bonus that she got to feed the Koi in the waiting area while the tools and jewelry were sanitized. He and his apprentice ( I didn't catch her name) did a fast and excellent job, he spent a good 10 minutes making sure the piercings would be even and nicely aligned (he even used a caliper lol) and my kiddo, who worked for a month to earn her piercing is SO proud of herself and happy with the results! read more

This was my first time at Leviticus. The customer service was fantastic, very friendly and professional. I appreciated getting a text letting me know what time I would be seen, in case I wanted to leave and come back. I chose to stay and comfortably chilled in their plant-filled, koi-ponded lobby. Jack removed some piercings for me, and they were especially tenacious with a stubborn barbell that was not budging. It was well past closing, but they were committed to its removal and ended up getting it out! Easily the best atmosphere of any tattoo & piercing shop I've been in (have been to several over the past 20 years). No bad lighting, no holier-than-thou vibes, the music was good, and I got to feed some huge-ass koi fish. Good times. Back in January when I turned 36, I decided that I was going to get myself a tattoo for my birthday. I had always wanted one, never gotten one, and figured it was now or never. So I called Leviticus, based on it's really good Yelp rating. It went something like this: Me: Hey! I want to get a tattoo. Female Leviticus employee: You've called the right place. What's up? Me: Well, I kind of know what I want. I've got a couple of ideas in mind. Should I just make an appointment now, or come in and talk to you, or what? FLE: Why don't you print out your ideas, if you have them, and come in. We can take it from there. I felt really at ease, which was nice. If you're a tattoo first timer - or a seasoned veteran - they're going to treat you the same. Respectfully, in a friendly manner, and patiently. This is merely one reason I am devoted to this shop. I go in with my printouts. The shop is beautiful - the front has lots of rock and concrete, and there's a fully functional koi pond in the lobby, complete with a little fountain and lots of plants. Honestly, from the front, it looks more like an art gallery or day spa. This was a good sign. FLE: Oh wow, you've got some really cool stuff there. Let's talk about what you want. Me: Okay, so I'm thinking (this design), but maybe adding (this design) to it. Would that be dumb? FLE: No way. That would be really cool. If it's what you want, we can do it, but I think this will be really cool. Me: Great, so do I need to book an appointment? FLE: Sure - let me show you a couple of our artist's books that I'd recommend. If you like one more than the other, just let me know and we'll see when that artist is open. So I made my appointment. A couple of weeks later, I went in to meet my artist - Opie Mueller - and get my tattoo. Opie was outstanding. Amazing. I can't say enough about him. Honestly. He's not only a great artist, but a really good guy. We had some really fun conversations while he was working on my ink. He was fast, too, which was really nice. My entire tattoo was done in about an hour and a half, and it's about 8" tall, about 4" wide, and multi-colored. While I was getting it, another artist named Charlie came over to talk while he was waiting for his next appointment. This is a really friendly atmosphere. And clean. This place is spotless. Honestly, I've eaten in restaurants that were less clean than this place. We're talking hospital clean. Again, something that I really believe most people should want out of a tattoo shop. When I was done, Opie and I high-fived and I told him I'd be back for my next one soon. (I will!) He gave me care instructions and wrapped my tattoo, and said to stop back once it had healed so he could take a picture of it for his book. This was an excellent, excellent, excellent experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any artist at Leviticus. They're professionals, and really cool, really nice people. read more
