Small spot in Cuyahoga Falls right near the Route 8 overpass. Super friendly staff helped us during our visit. We chatted with a few staff members about the menu. The homemade jams were tasty. The freshly in-house made bakery was delightful. We tried cookies and scones. The coffee was great too. Definitely will be back.

This restaurant was right up the street where we were staying, so decided to give it a try for breakfast. It has a small seating area inside, and I didn't see that it had an outside seating area. It was full, but there were some seats at the bar so we grabbed those and felt very comfortable. The service was very friendly and fast - everything was looking good for a great breakfast! I was so excited to see they had a good selection of veggies for a veggie omelette, and they also had great reviews on their Eggs Benedict, however both our meals were not tasty. The eggs for the veggie omelette were overcooked, hard and dry. The hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict was more butter and paprika than any other ingredient. We looked at the meals the other diners were eating and just about everyone had meals that needed syrup. So that might be the ticket to having a good meal at this place - but I cannot verify that.

A small family feel cafe, food was amazing. Best eggs Benedict I have ever had. Hollandaise sauce was so delicious and the english muffin was crispy and fluffy. Would definitely recommend trying this place out. Not a lot of seating but worth the wait.

This place was very nice! Service was very fast and friendly. The food was fantastic! I got the French patty melt (would recommend) and my partner got the monte cristo! Fries were perfectly crispy as well. Would recommend to anyone exploring the area!

Lots of good selections were on the menu for breakfast and lunch. We had a nice breakfast, and the portions were not gigantic. I had the pesto tomato provolone omelet. The egg were fluffy and delicious. My friend's eggs were cooked perfectly. Hash browns came with the meals. They were a flat pile and a bit mushy, not individual pieces of potato or crispy, but they were still good because I ate them all. There were many bread choices, and a croissant is extra. I'll bet all meals are very good here, including the hand dipped shakes. The cafe is small, and fast paced. There are tables and a few stools at the counter. Glad we checked out this cute corner spot. Check the website for days and hours open.

I have been wanting to come here since moving to the area 4 years ago and I am so happy I was finally able to! It's small inside but it is definitely not lacking in charm. I stopped in with my mom and we were quickly seated and helped, we came at exactly the right time though because it filled up quickly! There are so many choices on the menu, but I went for the biscuits and gravy because it is my secret guilty pleasure. The biscuits were flaky and I loved the gravy. My mom ordered the florentine, to which she felt was lacking in flavor. I will absolutely be back!

It has been on my list for ages but it isn't close to my house and the wait is always long! But in March 2026, my bf and I braved the wait so I can finally check this place out! Overall, it is clear why Blue Door is always packed - the food, while overpriced, is delicious and made by a team of talented chef and bakers! I'll say this was a 4.5 star experience. We were quoted a wait for about 45 minutes but we were seated after 30. The case of baked goods were enticing me the entire time but I resisted! Our waiter, Steven, was funny, helpful, and had a great personality. The place, obviously, was packed, with little room in between tables. We saw quite a few patrons order the incredibly indulgent horchata French toast ($24) and I don't think I witnessed anyone finish it! To start, I got a coffee from local coffee roasters, Angel Falls, for $3.50 and my boyfriend treated himself to a fancy hot chai $6.50. It was pretty good local coffee! I wanted to try their famous croissants so I ordered the croque madame croissant sandwich with breakfast potatoes ($21). The croque madame was incredible! The breakfast potatoes could have benefited from an interesting seasoning. My boyfriend wanted everything on the menu but decided on getting the "special menu" loaded baked potato breakfast burger with salt+vinegar brined house chips (aka fries) for $24. The potato inside was a large potato latke. This heavenly creation kept him full for hours. In the end, our bill was pretty pricey for a brunch but we enjoyed every bite. I'm not sure if I will be able to come here again since we got lucky with our wait, but they keep changing their menu and something might entice me so much, I'll endure any wait!

The chicken and sauce part of the chicken and waffles were amazing the corn beef hash dish was great. The waffles lacked real flavor and tasted odd. The coffee was great. Service was awesome but slow (took us 40 minutes to get our food). The restaurant is really cute looking and the pastry's look amazing but we only had the croissant which was great. The food was pretty expensive. We spent 70 bucks as a party of two. They definitely had large portions which is nice for the price however after moving here from Columbus, we've just had better for less for brunch/breakfast so that's why I needed to knock off a star. Still a good place but now where that we'd go to regularly because of the wait times and the price not making it feasible.

We grabbed menus near the entrance so we could pick what we wanted while waiting in line. When we ordered, there was a place to drop off the menus. On this inaugural visit, I requested the shrimp and grits, fresh orange juice, and beignets. We found a table for four and seated ourselves. The place was nearly full with one room cordoned off for only the busiest of times. While we waited, I visited the jam bar to get some butter. Soon, our food was delivered. The fresh squeezed orange juice was very tasty. I definitely enjoyed that. The portion sizes were good. I was afraid they might be small, given the price. The biscuits were large and good, but they are different than southern style biscuits. They can easily be cut with a fork, but also remain stable enough to eat with your fork after cutting. My shrimp was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I think they put six medium-large shrimp in the dish. The grits were also not the typical southern style. They were creamy, but still very good. The dish was tasty and very satisfying. The beignets were delicious! They were served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Excellent! Our server was friendly and quick. Very good quality. Very good service. The only drawback here is the price. As we exited, the line was out the door.

It's less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Akron but it's off the beaten path. All locals (except me) in here. When I went (10AM Friday) the place was almost full, and I was dining alone, so I sat at the counter, happily next to the kitchen. To look at the kitchen was like looking inside a bee hive, bustling with activity but barely a sound. I could just make out what was being calmly stated "2 Silver Dollar, Salmon, Country Fried, 2 Over Easy..." It was fun to watch, but what was important was the output. It took just over 6 minutes from the time I order until it was sitting in front of me, and everything was perfect! The waitresses were so efficient. I saw my order hit the window and in about 12 seconds it was delivered. They were so customer focused, they were (jokingly) fighting over refilling my tea. When I was done and paid for I waited outside for Uber to pick me up (3 min). I looked back on what I'd just experienced, and snapped a picture of the two parking lots of cars for Fred's Diner. I counted and there were 32 cars at Fred's. OK maybe 10 were staff so 22 cars for customers, let's say on average there were 2 customers per car (remember I walked here so no car for me). By my calculation, Fred's was feeding 44 people every 30 minutes or so. No wonder they're only open 4 days a week and only for breakfast - lunch. I calculate they might serve 3200 meals in those 4 days, and then take 3 days off to get ready for the next week. I love this place. Wish I lived here so I could come more often.

The food. The food is very good. We tried three different wing flavors. The house made buffalo, the Thai chili, and the citrus jerk wings. They fell off the bone and were delicious. I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger. The pickles on it as well are homemade or made from a company nearby, but they're also very good and different than any you get at the store. I will definitely be back.
