My associate was Sabastiana, and she was an absolute doll! She went out of her way to accommodate me and introduced me to some of the other amazing Ulta associates as well. She even convinced me to come back for Benefit Brow Bar services, and I already know who I will be seeing! I work five minutes from this location so this will be my home Ulta. I'm so happy I came here because the associates at this Ulta were super nice and helpful. They weren't snobbish at all like the associates at the Chesapeake/Greenbrier location, where I'll never shop again due to the rude customer service. I would normally shop Black-owned beauty supply stores for specifically Black hair care products, but I did not feel like driving all the way to Richway especially during rush hour traffic. Customer service here was subpar, which is usually expected with these type of businesses (Asian-owned in predominantly Black areas). I was not greeted upon entry. Fortunately, I wasn't followed around. They had a decent variety of products; however, not as much as Richway or even Beauty 21 (which isn't Black-owned, but the store has a large variety and I'm usually greeted). Prices here are about the same as most beauty supply stores. You need to purchase $5 worth of products to use a credit/debit card. I was thanked for my purchase, but not told to have a good day. I probably won't return unless I absolutely needed something and couldn't make it out to Richway or even Beauty 21 in time. I would have preferred to spend my money at Richway.
