After a long day of driving, I opted for delivery to my hotel. I've been on a bit of a Chinese kick so I placed an order with Flying Dragon in Dayton, Ohio. I ordered pork fried rice and fried wantons. Delivery was fast and I soon was sitting in my room digging in. The fried rice was some of the better I have had in recent memory but the wontons were another story. Fried wontons should be steamed and pan fried at the same time. That way they are cooked and you get a crispy bottom. These wontons....not so much. They appeared to be deep fired. Deep frying rendered them soft and chewy. The wonton wrapper puffed during its time in the fryer which made it thicker. They were really not pleasant and I only ate a couple. Luckily the rice was plentiful and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Even though the rice was pretty good, overall I was not impressed with Flying Dragon and probably won't order from them again the time I am in the Dayton area. read more

Ordered Flying Dragon this week through DoorDash and was very impressed. First off, we received the order lightning fast which was surprising and appreciative. The food overall was pretty great. This was our first time ordering from here and we did an order of Sweet and Sour Chicken, an order of Orange Chicken and a large Hot and Sour soup. For starters the Hot and Sour was very good. Pretty standard, nothing fancy but very tasty and fresh! The Orange Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken were both great. Again, nothing fancy, pretty standard but all tasted very fresh and delicious. We will definitely order from here again! read more

Flying Dragon is another Chinese place in Fairborn. It's better than you can imagine. You may have nightmares about the concept. It's a Chinese place and it has a drive thru. Really, though it usually takes a long time. It obviously used to be a Taco Bell. It's apparent from the colors in the dining room and the newer Taco Bell close by. They found a new use for the place. It's funny a place like this exists. Yet here they are, getting customers to come in willingly. In fact, there's several Chinese restaurants with drive thrus in Ohio. This is one of them. It usually takes about the same time to make as it would going on. The food probably takes about 10 minutes or more usually. I had the Hunan Bean Curd. This is about $7 for the lunch portion. It was a large amount of food. The tofu was good, while some of the vegetables tasted kind of old. This is good for drive thru Chinese. It's cheap, so what do you expect? This is still better than Panda Express shit. read more

Me and my wife went here awhile back and food is mediocre to fair. Not really worth the price that they charge which for how much it was you would expect a little bit more of a nicer atmosphere. The inside is normally not anything to speak of. There is no soft music playing and for the price they laughably only have a small chandelier lol. For a better dining experience and better tasting food I recommend JY bamboo which is just down the road. Might be a 5 to 10.00 difference but the taste and atmosphere is alot nicer for the price. Step up flying dragon because you guys are not the only one in the game around here and they are going to open another Chinese buffet just down the street from you guys. read more

To be honest, my favorite thing about this restaurant is the drive thru. LOL! They are fast and the food is always fresh and hot. I usually get vegetable fried rice or vegetable lo mien and they both come with a good amount of veggies that aren't overcooked. I have also had the chicken and vegetables - it was good...no yucky parts in the chicken. The egg rolls are good, but can be greasy. Overall, this is my go-to Chinese place for take out. read more

This last time has solidified that I will never order here again and I hope no one does to avoid my experiences. They need to fix up their food and service. I ordered the Honey wings and got a plate of broken small pieces of wings. If I pieced the clearly cut pieces together I would have had about two small complete wings. It was supposed to be 12 pcs wings. Didn't know how literal the order would be. I tried eating the small broken pieces but couldn't avoid the scrapnel of bone surrounding the chicken meat. I've had the food from here several times and it's never been anything special. I mean, it's food, but I wouldn't go here if I really wanted to enjoy my meal. The staff was pleasant enough, or I guess I should say, the one single person who spoke English was pleasant enough. I didn't interact with the others, but I'm sure they're fine. This being an original Taco Bell which was renovated into Chinese fast food, the atmosphere is very stark--not the place to go to sit down with friends and have a great meal. However, I went there a couple weeks ago to pick up my order and the roof was leaking (raining hard outside) so bad that it was steadily dripping all over the front counter. It was bad. My favorite pick in Fairborn for my fast food Chinese fix! The prices are great and the portions are huge. Those are two of the top things on my checklist. They do a great General Tso's chicken, and my favorite dish is the House Special Lo-Mein, which includes pork, chicken, shrimp, and veggies. The food is fast for pick-up (ready in 5 or 10 minutes), but delivery normally takes an hour or more, so plan ahead. read more

My coworkers and I always ordered our weekend lunches from here- mainly because it is the only places that delivers haha. I always get the same thing, the Beef with Broccoli. It's pretty good., but it's nothing special. I have tried other things from the menu, the Lo Mein and egg rolls, and have been disappointed to find that both dishes have peanut products in them (I'm allergic). I asked about the egg rolls and the woman behind the counter assured me that there was no peanut oil, but I still had a reaction so I'm not sure what happened there. Only tried here because our typical Chinese go-to in town has started closing on Mondays. We ordered the Mongolian Chicken, Seafood Delight, and Moo Goo Gai Pan. Each came with a side of steamed rice. We also ordered an extra fried rice without vegetables and were pleasantly surprised when we were offered the choice between two egg rolls or two crab rangoon for free! The Seafood Delight was the best we'd ever had at an average priced Chinese Restaurant. It was very colorful and tasty. The Mongolian Chicken was tasty as well - a bit darker in color than most I've seen but it didn't affect the taste. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was also good. The fried rice was almost saffron in color with large bits of egg. Aside from its difference in appearance - it still tasted good! The inside of the restaurant looked a little sketchy but it was clean. I wouldn't necessarily eat inside the restaurant - but it's a great place for some takeout. read more

Maybe y'all should try being nice to these people and you will get better customer service, I was super nice to them and gave them a tip and I got two free drinks and my food was on point. Like I could feed a family of 4 with how much I got and it was fresh, they do have small containers for sauce you just have to ask for them and there was no such thing as friend dough I got fantastic sweet and sour chicken.
