I had spent the night in Lake Arrowhead and needed to stop for gas on my way to an early morning call time in San Fernando. I pulled into Flying J around 4am and was pleasantly surprised that the gas prices were reasonable, and since hardly anything else was open at that hour, it was a relief to find a solid variety of food and drinks available inside. What I appreciated most was how big, well-lit, and well-monitored the place is. As a woman alone at a gas station at 4 in the morning, that kind of environment actually makes a difference. This pit stop is ehhh all the girl workers are pretty snooty and sarcastic and not in the cute way.. I honestly dont know if they clean their ice machines and soda machines very much. I asked a simple question "how old do you have to be to buy tobacco" lady got attitude/very rude and argumentative and because I said 21 after she did she got the manager involved (which was fine) but they didn't sell me my items and started speaking spanish and called me a bitch as an employee in the store in front of other customers. The good - I was able to use the cat scales to weigh my truck and travel trailer without any problem, although there was no place in back to drop the trailer off to re-weigh the truck only, I was able to park it sideways in the front parking lot. The service was friendly. The bad - while the service was friendly it was a bit lacking. There were 5 people working behind the counter each time I walked in, (3 different times for stuff), and yet there was only ever one person at a time working the register. The rest appeared to be standing around talking. This meant that there was a long line for the register when there didn't need to be one. read more

I've worked my way up from Team Leader (United States Marine Corps) to Supervisor, to Facility manager, to Interim Vice President of the entire Midwest quadrant. But I've never been treated so disrespectfully as when I came into that Truck stop. I love Pilot/Flying J coffee. I try to stop at one (whenever I have time) to get a morning cup before I go on with my day. But one day I was harassed and singled out by two older females by the name of Monica & Terry about weather I had paid for a cup of coffee! I explained to them in a calm voice that I assure them I come regularly for a morning cup of coffee and that I always pay. Well, they attempted to get the Manager and Security and go through the receipts, and even harassed me about the person who was at register during the sale??? They made me feel very uncomfortable and I think something should be done about it. I think those two older ladies should be repremaned for their disrespectful behavior!!! read more

Very happy with this establishment. All pumps work great no problems. I can't speak for the truck drivers but it looks clean. The wendys here is by far the worst I've ate at .. the nuggets are always hard and taste a day or 2 old but hey that's why we nolonger eat there. read more

We gave this place another chance. It is so close in Southridge Fontana. We came for the Wendy's. Gas is reasonably priced considering the economy. Wendy's was better. 1. They have frostys finally! This stores icee flavored drink machine has been down to one flavor for over a month. I guess to them it's not important. But for the people whe went out of their way to get an icee drink only to find a sloppy written " Out of order" sign on the machine. It's important. Aug 19th 2024. Fueled up here, got a god cup of coffee and a breakfast burrito. The place was clean and ran very efficiently. There was a lot of customers and the older white guy that was checking people out was moving fast! I was also able to get 2 pillows while waiting for my co driver. Managers go around the truck lot giving drivers a hard time. We are in California, and everyone knows they're too many people in this state even drivers, so of course this place is crowded when truckers run out of time and need a haven to sleep. Not here! Truckers find parking, and as long as the truck driver is NOT obstructing the flow of traffic, or blocking fuel islands, then please leave them be. Mangers be like "OMG THATS NOT A PARKING SPOT" if it doesn't say "no parking, and driver not obstructing traffic then why be an ass? read more

Great truck stop compared to the other truck stops. Some staff are polite and some can be a little unhappy. Other than that the two persons that helped me out today were really awesome. The girl who made the pizza(Angela, Angelic, or her name was something like that) was really polite. The other person who helped me out was Mary or Mar(something Like that[blonde head]) was really polite at the register. I had no issues what soever. Restrooms were clean and facility is really clean.
