BROWN BUTTER MISO (syrup) Butter Miso syrup with splash of whole milk. Ordered it as a latte and iced, but later changed it to splash of milk. It was slightly sweet. The coffee was not strong. Thought it would be espresso, but it was regular brewed whatever coffee. The syrup was not as good as they said it was. A light caramel flavor, but it kind of disappears as you drink it. The splash of milk even drowned out the coffee flavor! There's no miso or salted caramel or butterscotch flavor. None whatsoever. I did love this drink one bit! As the ice melts, all the coffee and caramel flavors disappear with it. They said this was their popular flavor too. Really? Now I'm confused. MATCHA COCONUT Coconut water + Matcha cold foam. Clean flavor, not as sweet. Mostly coconut water with light matcha flavor. If you don't want a heavy drink, this may be the drink for you. This was a far better drink than the brown butter miso coffee I had. COFFEE STAMP CARD I was given a stamp card after my order. So ask for one if you did not receive it yet. After 10 stamps, you get a free drink of your choice. AMBIANCE + SEATS It is located inside the senior center, so the furniture does give off that vibe. It is welcoming though. Indoor and outdoor seats available. There's an exit right where the cafe is, so you can walk to the outdoor seating area, but not sure if everyone can access it. I saw there was an group activity happening there, so I did not enter. There are small tables and seats indoors, as well as a large, round sofa in the middle of the cafe where people can sit and enjoy their drinks. CUSTOMER SERVICE Really friendly, lots of smiles and great customer service. LOCATION Inside the Fontana Community Senior Center. Please look for the Paperboy sign as you walk inside. I stop by this spot pretty much every time I have court since it's only a few minutes away from the Fontana courthouse, and it has easily become one of my favorite matcha spots! I usually get a matcha latte with vanilla syrup, but this time I decided to try the Creamsicle Matcha Latte, and let me tell you--it was delicious! It's located inside of a senior center, but it's very easy to find thanks to the signs outside the door that clearly point you in the right direction. Everything was exactly as it was like the last time I was here. I came during the week. The cafe is inside the senior center. A lot of seniors hanging out in the area. I got in line right as they were about to close. The barista let me know I would be the last customer and asked if I had been there. I said yes and she asked if I wanted a punch card. Luckily, I still had mine on me so I got it punched. I noticed they had switched out the drinks to seasonal. They didn't have the one I ordered last time. Great experience at Paperboy! It is inside the community center, so make sure to follow the signage to find the coffee shop. I got an iced latte and it was solid. They use chilled espresso for their iced drinks, which is interesting! They don't do it out of convenience though, they do it because after trialing different methods, they decided that chilled espresso tasted best for iced drinks. I appreciate the thoughtfulness. There was a lot of space , it is inside a community center so it looks like they have a lot of regulars, which is good so they know everybody by their name their coffee is really really good. WOAH! Decided to try this coffee shop and it exceeded expectations. I am very picky about coffee but this place went above and beyond. I tried all three drinks from their autumn menu and every single drink was delicious. PRO TIP: please get the drinks as suggested. Some were suggested hot, others had an Americano Base instead of a latte and it definitely enhanced the drink. Baristas created the drinks so I would 100% listen to how they suggest it. Speaking of the baristas, every single one of them is so so attentive. It was my first time and they walked me through the menu items and ensured I knew exactly what to get. This hidden gem might be tucked away inside the senior center, but once you get to the entrance, there are plenty of signs to point you in the right direction. We have been here a couple of times now and service has been super friendly, polite and helpful. Even though they were really busy, they will greet repeat customers by name and take the time to explain the menu. We have tried the Iced Tiramisu Latte, Hot and Iced Toasted Ube Coconut and enjoyed all of them. Not overly sweet and as a coffee lover I appreciate that you can actually still taste the coffee itself and it's not overpowered by syrup. Currently, they have seasonal drinks and saw that they offer a tiramisu coffee and knew that I was going to try it.
