For how beautiful the inside of this place is and how calm and quiet it is, I wish the food was better. I think there are far better shops close enough to where I wouldn't come back. I ordered the combination pho and the meatballs had good flavor, but the noodles were way too overcooked. The noodles would break upon trying to pick them up. The broth was also okay but not my favorite. I felt that it tasted heavily of clove and star anise that it was almost sweet or heavy. I also ordered the chili oil wontons and they lacked a bit of flavor. I also wish the chili oil was a bit stronger in taste and spice. The place was so clean. Simple restaurant and love the colors inside. Even the restroom was super nice. My main orders here were the Matcha Smoothie with whole milk and the Combo rice plate. The smoothie was one of the best I've ever had! The combo plate included fried egg which I got to pop open and spread on the white rice, brand prawn roll, char-broiled pork, charbroiled shrimps, egg roll, pickled cabbage, carrot, and radish, and cilantro. I was very skeptical of this place the first time I checked it out. So much so I actually looked at the front and drove to another spot. From the outside it doesn't give me that "authentic" type of vibe, (whatever that means). Is it a boba spot or a pho place? Usually a place that has both in my experience probably sucks. Randomly I was in the area and decided I'd give it a try. I'm very happy I did. 1 the service was great. The dudes in there were very nice, helpful and quick. Once I ordered I got my food piping hot. I got the pho with brisket and meatballs. Usually fatty brisket gets a little gross to me after a while but this brisket fat literally melts in your mouth. The broth was good and it comes in a metal bowl. Which was pretty cool. The restaurant its self reminds me of a weird fusion of a boba spot so it does have merch and stuff to buy. Best pho in the Rialto/Fontana area - true mom & pop gem. Cloud 9 Pho & Teatime is a true family-run, mom and pop shop, and honestly, I think they have the best pho in the Rialto / Fontana area. My whole family loves coming here, and it's become one of our go-to spots. We've noticed the pho tastes even better dining in than getting it to go--the depth of flavor is definitely there when you eat it fresh at the restaurant. Pho One thing to know: They only offer one bowl size for pho (unlike other places that have medium/large choices). That said, the portion size is perfect. My husband always says it's the ideal serving for an adult--filling but not overly heavy. Banh Mi I usually get their banh mi sandwiches, and they are some of the best you can get around here. Great bread, flavorful fillings, and fresh veggies--super satisfying every time. Boba Drinks They also serve boba drinks, and for a pho restaurant, they're actually pretty good. Of course, if you compare them to dedicated boba shops, there are fancier and more complex drinks out there, but for being part of a restaurant menu, they do a solid job. Just a heads up: The drinks are on the sweeter side, so if you don't like very sweet drinks, you might want to see if they can adjust the sweetness for you. Desserts & Availability One downside: since this is a small, family-run place, they tend to sell out of a lot of items by nighttime--especially desserts. We usually come here for dinner, and almost every time, the desserts are already sold out. They make a limited amount each morning, which is understandable, but I'm still always a little sad I haven't been able to try them yet. Great hidden gem! I had never heard of Cloud 9 until recently and it was definitely worth it! We had the brisket pho and it was a balanced flavor of herbs, spices, and aromatics. I truly believe that this place has a great selection of different items. We had the spring rolls and pot stickers and they were both delicious as well. On par with other places and met expectations. I have been wanting to try Cloud 9 Pho & Teatime located at Sierra Lakes Village in Fontana for the longest time. I finally made it happen. Got here early Saturday evening. Not too many customers at the time. Upon entry, I was greeted right away. Tons of seating so I chose to sit near the right side window. Menu has Appetizers (ex., Taro Delight), Salads (ex. Lotus Root), Pho (16 different creations including tofu and vegan), Cloud9 Specials (ex., Shaken Beef, Chicken Wings, Garlic Butter Salmon), On the Grill (ex., Vermicelli with choice of protein), Dipping Noodle (ex., Bun Cha Ha Noi), Wok Stir-Fry (ex., Pad Thai, Fried Rice), For some reason, it took me a little while to decide. After further debate within self, I was ready to order the items below. Prices were reasonable. 1. Taro Delight - 4 cut rolls with dipping sauce, quite delightful in taste, however, I would have liked the taro to be in larger chunks instead of tiny little ones. 2. Vermicelli with chicken - Wow, huge bowl with tons of grilled chicken strips plus fresh veggies and vermicelli! Chicken was perfectly grilled, but flavor missed the mark... it was slightly bland. I had to add chili garlic sauce to give it a flavor lift. What would have been nice is a lemongrass flavor in the chicken. Just a tip. 3. Avocado smoothie - They didn't have this drink on the menu, but they had Cocomelon. I asked if they would make it with avocado. They accommodated and did extremely well. Smooth with perfect sweetness... it was delicious! I hinted that they should add it to the menu. I will ask for it again. 4. Flan x 2 - Great texture with amazing taste! Price was $5 for one, $8 for two. I got 2 of course. They use the small sauce containers for it. A tad small for the price IMHO. On one side of the menu, it had these drink series, Bubble Tea, Milk Tea, Fruity Tea, Smoothie, Slushie, Milk Drink, Yogurt Drink, Galaxy Series, Vietnamese Coffee, Soda. I saw "Buy 8, Get 1 free". Funny, it's almost like you're getting your entire reward card filled out all at once with this special. Hey, if you can get 8 drinks filled in one visit, why not get the 9th one free! Staff was amazingly superb. The young gentleman who took my order was super friendly. He was very patient with all my questions. It's always nice to find authentic tasting Vietnamese food in this area. This place doubles as a restaurant/milk tea dessert spot. There's a lot of seating in here and the restaurant felt very clean. :) Service was quick and the employees were all very friendly. Menu is filled with lots of options from Rice, Fried Rice, Noodles, Pho, basically all things Vietnamese :) I'm always craving Pho, so when I feel like all the fixings I go for the Combination Pho. Eggrolls : 10/10 One of our favorite appetizers, delicious and served fresh . Love the dipping sauce. Bao buns: 9/10 I haven't tried these but my sister did and said they were delicious. Crab Wontons: 9/10 delicious Filet mignon dish: 9/10 This dish is slightly sweet and the egg is cooked to order. The sauce is phenomenal. Banh mi sandwich: 9/10 Bread was nice and soft. Can be very spicy with fresh sliced jalapeños inside. Meat is thinly sliced. Comes with 2 per order. Priced at $9.00 and worth it. I so badly want to give this place 5 stars, but it keeps coming up short for me and I've given it a handful of opportunities. I always get their tofu spring rolls- and it's been so inconsistent! The only consistent thing is that the ingredients are fresh, but the ratio of the tofu and the veggies are always off, tofu strips are thin and it's smaller than the roll itself. The peanut sauce looks and tastes like creamy peanut butter- it's just flat. There was one time they gave me fish sauce in my to go order and that was pretty upsetting since spring rolls are usually eaten with peanut sauce. Why do I keep getting it? Bc this is a good go to healthy item and I'm hopeful that they might improve it. We do recommend the garlic butter salmon, that has always been consistent! The lotus root salad is refreshing and delicious as well. Recently, I got their bun cha Ha Noi and it is a twist on the classic northern style dish (what I was expecting), but it's pretty much a cold dish- a vermicelli dish w the pork patties and bbq strips of meat and their dipping sauce is like a tangy fish sauce with pickled veggies. The nuoc cham dipping sauce is typically served as hot, but this was just straight up seasoned fish sauce. The staff there has always been really kind and they have great customer service! FYI, call in your order instead of ordering on third party companies- the prices are higher on apps like DoorDash. Will I give this place another try? Probably bc it's down the street from my house, but will I say it's authentic Vietnamese food? It's going to be a no for me right now. Me and my boyfriend came for lunch today and was heavily disappointed. We got the taro something it usually supposed to have meat and were sadden to find out it did not. I got the V1 vermicelli and a lot of things were just not hitting. The eggroll wasn't crispy enough, pickles needed more pickling, the pork wasn't chard, stingy with the herbs, and it didn't initially come with peanuts until I asked. My boyfriend got the crispy chicken quartlet, and stated it was bland. Came with a side of the pho broth, heavily spiced and a little too much oil. Service was alright, could've been more attentive. We came here on a rainy day, they were BUSY. A lot of online orders and all the tables were taken, so we expected to wait. We got egg rolls for the table, no idea what's in them but 10/10!! I got the vermicelli w/ chicken and my mom got the shaken beef. The only reason we are giving it a 4/5 is because I think the vermicelli sauce could have had more flavor, I think it's just fish sauce which is fine it was delicious but I've had places that either use a better fish sauce or mix it with more. And the shaken beef flavor was 10/10 but not all of the pieces were tender, just a few were a little chewy so overall 4/5! Also I got a lychee peach tea... 10/10!!!! New favorite pho spot! I ordered from Cloud 9 Pho & Teatime and was absolutely blown away. Everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully packaged. The pho? Out of this world. The broth came in its own leakproof container, and there was a ready-to-use bowl with noodles and onions. The basil and other fresh garnishes came separately in a plastic bag, which was perfect. I love when restaurants think about the customer experience this way and provide a bowl for the soup instead of just a huge container of broth and there's no space to add all the ingredients to. It made eating the pho so easy and enjoyable, and the flavor was rich, comforting, and just fantastic. The combo (charbroiled pork and shrimp) vermicelli was another standout.
