Gas prices are good, and they give you free air for your tires! People inside are really friendly. Fast service!

Echo Canyon Rest Area Utah - Welcome to Echo Canyon

    Echo Canyon Rest Area Utah

    (3 reviews)

This rest area was one of my favorites when I travelled through Utah in a Penske truck…read more There was plenty of space for the truck I was driving and for other vehicles no matter how big or small you are. LOL. I just happened to be driving a load of belongings for a family member retiring to Nevada and I graciously decided to help drive their stuff to. There were many stops along the way but this was definitely one of the most scenic road stops I've ever been to. It has been a while since that drive but checking some of my in draft reviews, I saw I had this hanging waiting to be finished. I can't believe this stop only has one review which is why I wanted to boost the profile. The bathrooms and facilities are clean and the parking is spacious but the best part is this beautiful canyon side view. Don't miss this narrow walking path to a higher point where you can take super picturesque shots of the canyon. It is behind the Welcome to Utah sign and bring some water for the steep incline. This was unexpected and I ended up spending way longer than usually checking out the grounds. As I recall, looking at my photos, there was a squirrel that followed me around. He was friendly but kept his distance, I wish I had some food for my new friend, I think he just wanted to make sure I saw all the best parts of the Canyon. He was the best tour guide ever. If I ever drive by Utah again, I'm sure I will stop here with some food my my little buddy and to take a breath and enjoy the view.

Clean and sufficient as rest stops go. It's not too much to ask for, but it isn't always a given.read more

Few buildings stay true to their original purpose, but the Art City Inn has remained a hotel since…read morethe late 1800's when it was built. It's gone through several names and renovations over the decades, and what you see today is still a place where travelers stay a night or two. It's not like the modern day hotel, but an intimate bed and breakfast. The day of your arrival, you'll receive a text with check in instructions, which include door codes for self service. When I arrived, there was someone at the front desk to answer some questions, but we could have found our way without help. The room was clean and comfortable, with the exception of the bed. It was pretty dated and uncomfortable. Breakfast is in a tiny room off the lobby-any more than 2-3 people can be crowded. You'll find some pastries, cereal, nuts and juice. There's a coffee machine in the lobby with k-cups. The outdoor area is beautiful, with a hot tub on the patio and some small bistro tables on the front porch. On a nice day, it's a lovely place to sit and enjoy the memories of days gone by.

While Many of them stayed at my sister's house, I knew I needed a little more space and quiet. (My brother and his wife agreed and also stayed here.) The four nights I stayed at the Art City Inn were fantastic! It's in a very walkable area with many restaurants around. I highly recommend it if you're needing to stay near Mapleton or Springville. Comfy beds, adorable decor, and a welcoming vibe!
