I never had a bad back just needed a stretch every few months as I did in my past location in Ohio . Well I felt great before I entered this office ... Dr Diflippio examined me and said I needed 6 sessions... well at the 3rd adjustment he hurt me ... I figured it will heal so I went back to tell him he hurt me and he promised to fix whatever went wrong so he did it again , hurt me even worse and then became arrogant after knowing he was wrong by trying to adjust me after injuring me . The problem I have which made me realize it was about money is when I entered the office after my 2nd adjustment before he injured me to tell him I felt great and no longer needed extra adjustments and he anxiously responded that " we have work to do " ! I told him I felt great and he disagreed and I stupidly listened to him and allowed him to adjust me over an injury he had already caused me . I realized it wasn't about me it was about the $$$$ he would have lost 3 more sessions out of me . He never once checked up on me just wanted to send me to pain management. I did my research and saw he had like 2 good reviews at the time so I thought I was in good hands . Before seeing him I was active and an athletic ... after seeing him and injuring me I have been through hell.... It's been a year of PT, neurological problems, pain management. Every week I spend time in a MD office . What upsets me the most is I felt great and ask him not to adjust me... I knew my body ... but he insisted because it was about the money ! I would NEVER recommend Dr. Diflippis ... I have spoken to others who claim he can be very arrogant at times which as I mentioned i witnessed firsthand. My life has changed drastically since he hurt me ... I was extremely active and in great shape and now I'm lucky if I can get dressed without help. My days are shorter because of the pain . This guy cost me so far thousands of dollars in doctor bills and over a year of my life in pain . Changed my life and not for the best ! Some may feel otherwise... I moved from VA to FL recently and needed to find someone to continue my pain and spine treatment…read more I had Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) in VA and needed to find a doctor in FL to administer the RFA again as my neck really began to hurt again. I asked repeatedly for them to obtain my records from my previous doctor so they would know where to do the ablation again (not entirely their fault as my previous doctor's office was unresponsive for weeks). Prior to getting the records they gave me facet join injections as a diagnostic measure to see where they needed to do the RFA again. Mind you the doctor simply looked at me to make this determination and did no examination of me. Didn't even feel my neck or back. Anyway, the injections did nothing. I feel worse in fact. I have called repeatedly for weeks for a muscle relaxer to be called in until I can have the RFA again and no one will call me back. I don't understand why you would administer a diagnostic procedure before checking my records to see where I had the RFA done before (since that actually worked). Anyway I'm going to have to find a new spine and pain doctor in FL. Also, when I called to cancel my next appointment and told them I wasn't happy with their treatment up to this point the receptionist said okay, well we wish you luck. Didn't even ask why. Goes to show they are used to this kind of thing.

Dr. L.K. Valente was referred to me by Dr. Robert Getter, M.D., Spine Specialist. I have been in…read moreexcruciating pain and was unable to get an appointment right away but Dr. Getter got me in as soon as possible. He contacted Dr. Valente before he started his hours and said he needed to see me urgently for an injection procedure as soon as possible and sent me right over to him. Dr. Valente gave me his utmost attention and explained everything he was going to do. He also said the procedure might not work but it might also work but he couldn't promise it would. He also gave prescription medicine for nerve pain to help. This day was not a normal day for procedures so he had to gather staff to assist with the procedure. He is an excellent doctor in explaining everything and works well with Dr. Getter. I feel I really lucked out with two very good doctors and I hope more people will review both of these doctors in the future. Neither of these doctors was listed on Yelp and I felt the need to list them. Not all doctors or centers are perfect and I hope people will keep in mind when writing a review. It is not fair to make a bad judgment or remark because no person or company is perfect.

Another example is when I first became a new patient, I attended a session that he led in front of other patients and when I mentioned the prior doctor I had been to, he publicly disparaged the doctor in front of everyone. Very unethical. Also, I received a statement from my insurance company showing Dr. Rice filed a claim for services he did not provide.

The man at the front desk looked at us when we walked in, I provided my mother's name, and he handed me a clipboard without saying a single word. Not exactly a warm or helpful start. As I went through the paperwork, the first page stated that only two people are allowed to go back to the exam room. I had my father with me as well -- he also has Alzheimer's -- so leaving him alone in the waiting room was not an option. I went back to the desk and explained the situation, expecting some understanding from a neurology office that routinely works with patients who have cognitive impairments. Instead, I was told "sorry, office rules" with no flexibility or attempt to find a solution. Anyone who works with Alzheimer's patients should understand how unsafe it is to leave someone unsupervised, especially in an unfamiliar setting. Since they refused to make an exception, we had no choice but to leave -- after waiting half a year for this appointment. This office showed zero compassion, zero accommodation, and zero awareness of the needs of the very patients they claim to specialize in. I cannot recommend them.
